Some Odd Girl Digital Stamp - Beach Babe Kaylee

Hi Guys! I'm back with a new card to share. This is one that came together exactly as it was in my head. Don't you love it when that happens? Here it is -
I actually sat on the computer, on facebook while colouring this digi image... I had printed her out, and knew that I wanted to use her in a Polaroid frame... So, didn't worry about colouring much below her bikini top... I then coloured the background using the Copic Colouring Tutorial for clouds that was posted on the Some Odd Girl Blog the other day, I just changed the colours to Spectrum Noir colours... I then cut her out, mounted her on black cardstock, and then white and stamped the sentiment from Hey Kaylee. The main card is Melon Mambo, layered with black card and patterned paper from Kaisercraft's Hippy Girl collection. I then put some black rhinestones in each valley of the scallop circle and added some glossy accents to her glasses.
I am entering this into two challenges, first up is the Sketch from Mojo Monday, I clearly picked the circle option, for something a bit different. I am also entering this into the Addicted to Stamps Challenge, to use Markers.

The Greeting Farm - Tank For a monochromatic Boys Birthday

Hi guys! I hope you all had a fabulous Mothers day! I spent the weekend at my mum's house, and had stamp club on Sunday :) Apart from that, there wasn't a lot of crafting done, so when I got home, it was time to get inky! Here is my effort this afternoon -
I started by colouring Tank (by The Greeting Farm) using my Basic Grey Marker and blender pen, with some very subtle highlighting in Basic Black, and fussy cut him out... I picked out this glossy patterned paper from Kaisercraft On the Move patterned paper stack, and cut it to be a 1/4 of an inch smaller than my card base. I then flipped it over and drew a curve using a pencil, and followed the curve using my sharp scissors. I attached it to the card base, and drew a border using my Black Stampin' Write Marker and the sentiment from Grunge Rock (Stampin' Up!) I layered some black bakers twine over the patterned paper as well as some buttons and then popped Tank up on dimensionals....
I used inspiration from iSpySketches and also from the Splendid Stamping monochrome challenge.

Thanks for dropping around :)

Feeling Sketchy 2 - Card Sketch DT Post

So, this last week has been fabulous, with the new challenge blog Feeling Sketchy going live, and having some wonderful interpretations of the sketch! It's time to share week 2!
How great is this sketch? That speech balloon? It can be any shape! I can't wait to see what everyone has come up with! Here is my interpretation -
The blue patterned section has been stamped in Versamark (Penny Black background stamp) and heat embossed using clear embossing powder. I then got out my two Distress Inks and inked and blended the embossed piece. I added a strip of black card, embossed with the Big Shot and cut out a Spellbinders frame for the sentiment (which I think is Basic Gray) I added a strip of black velvet ribbon and mounted it all on black card and then on to a white card base.
Don't forget to check out what the other Sketchettes have produced, Annmaree, Jess T and Michelle!
If you think you'd like to play, head on over to the Feeling Sketchy blog, and upload your card. Every entry gets you in the draw to win our monthly prize, which this month is generously supplied by The Stamp Spot.

Gorjuss Little Foxes and I create a Birthday Card

Hi guys! So sorry for being a terrible blogger over the last week, I've not had ANY mojo at all, and haven't managed to get into the craft room because of it.... But, tonight after dinner, I sat down and created!
I started off stamping this Gorjuss Girl onto watercolour paper, and coloured her in with coloured pencils (plain Derwent pencils) and then with cotton buds and some Mineral Turpentine, I blended the colours. Here's a closeup -
Now, onto the rest of the card, it is a So Saffron card base, layered with Basic Gray, and Basic Black and another piece of So Saffron, cut with the Top Note Die. I layered some Twill ribbon on top (from the Ribbon Carousel) and then a piece of Whisper White with the sentiment (from Sale-a-bration set Elementary Elegance) in Basic Gray. The two buttons, are self cover buttons covered with gray felt and attached with my hot glue gun.
I am entering this into three challenges, I took inspiration from The Play Date Cafe Colour challenge, also the layout inspiration is from CASE study challenge, and finally, the Felt challenge from the Ribbon Carousel Challenge.
Thanks for popping by, don't forget there is a 15% off sale on at my MadeIt Store, and Blog Candy up for grabs. Thanks for popping by, I'll hopefully get my mojo back soon!

GorJuss and I create monochrome with a 'pop' of colour

Hi guys!
I'm back again to share a card with you all, as well as some news. Two of my cards last week were mentioned as honourable mentions :) I'm a little bit excited! This one and this one for the Ribbon Carousel and the Play Date Cafe. I had a play with their challenges again this week....
A fairly simple card for me... I used a black card base, which is layered with a white card base with a bunch of machine stitching all around it. The patterned paper is from Echo Park, For the Record collection. I added a white satin ribbon with a pink button. The Gorjuss stamp is watercoloured using my Stampin' Write Markers and a blender pen, in Basic Black, Basic Grey, Sahara Sand, Melon Mambo and Blush Blossom. I added three little black rhinestones and a sentiment from Hero Arts.
I am entering this into the Ribbon Carousel Sketch Challenge, and also the Play Date Cafe, black, white and hot pink colour challenge.

Brayering with Stampin' Up! Inks for a Get Well Card

Hi guys, I had a lovely relaxing weekend at my parents house this past weekend, and I have a card to share with you, which I made up for a dear family friend who is awaiting surgery.
I did some brayering while at mums, and it was nice to get back into it, after not doing it for a few months. I used Pool Party, Tempting Turquoise and Island Indigo on Gloss Cardstock. Then, with some new stamps bought from Lincraft :) I stamped the grass (?) images in Staz On. The sentiment is one from mums stash cut out with my nestabilities and trimmed down and mounted on black cardstock. The patterned papers are Tempting Turquoise from Stampin' Up! It's a fairly basic card, but I like how it turned out.
I am entering this into the Freshly Made Sketches sketch. :)

Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration Outlined Occasions and I create a cute Valentines Card

Hi guys! Today I spent the day in the craft room, cutting up card stock and tidying up my desk (again)I have a workshop this weekend, so needed to get prepared. Once all the card was cut down, I sat and crafted for a little while, and this is what I came up with
This is a Crumbcake card base, layered with some Whisper White, and some patterned paper I've had in my stash for a while and I'm getting down to the scraps :) (love Polka Dots!) and some Real Red card stock. I then sat and coloured my little girl from My Favourite Things. I stamped her a second time on some Regal Rose patterned paper, and cut out her top, added some shading and stuck it down. I added some beautiful Ivory Satin Center Band Ribbon and tied a bow. The sentiment is from the new Sale-a-bration set called Outlined Occasions.
I am entering this into three challenges, the first is the Ribbon Carousel Paper Piecing challenge and secondly, the Colour Q colour challenge and finally, the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches

Stampin' Up! Basic Phrases and TGF Sassy Girl and I create a Birthday Card

I've been a little busy today! But, as I was blurfing (Blog surfing) I came across a challenge site that is a new one for me... and I just HAD to participate!
I started out with a Black card base, which I layered with some Whisper White, and a piece of scrap Tempting Turquoise patterned paper that was floating on my (messy) desk. I then cut out some patterned paper from Echo Park and layered it on top. I stamped my sentiment, which is from Basic Phrases and then tied some satin ribbon around the main panel. I stamped this sassy looking The Greeting Farm girl on to some watercolour paper and coloured her using my blender pen, and Basic Gray Stampin' Write Marker. I added a whole bunch of dimensional adhesive to her back and attached her to some layered Whisper White and Basic Black.
I am entering this into 3 challenges, the first is the Anyone for Anya Challenge, which is the new one for me. This week, it is an inspiration picture, I was inspired by the black and white image and then the pop of blue. Next up, is the Friday Mashup!, I decided to not 'mash it up', but I did use patterned paper/designer paper, and lastly, is the Wee Memories Sketch challenge, this is their last ever challenge! So, if you want one last chance to play, head over and have a go.
Ok, now I've finished filling your feeds with posts, it is my bed time!
Thanks for dropping around!

Stampin' Up! The Best is Yet to Be and I create a Retro Birthday Card

Hi guys! I made this card the other day, but couldn't post it (as much as I wanted to) until after it was released on the ICSketches challenge blog....
I used a Confetti White card base for this one, as well as some Peachy Keen (Kaisercraft) Patterned papers, which I cut and distressed using my Stampin' Up! Distressing Essentials Kit. I then got to colouring this Some Odd Girl stamp... I knew I wanted her to stand out, and not blend into the colourful background, so I decided she needed to be black and white... then came the fun of colouring and shading using one colour... It wasn't as difficult as it sounds. I used my Basic Grey Stampin' Write Marker and a blender pen, then in the parts I wanted darkest, I used the fine end of my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker. I added 3 tiny little black pearls to her barette in her hair. The sentiment is stamped on Whisper White, and it is from the retired hostess set The Best is Yet to Be, I layered it on a scalloped circle and added some black satin ribbon to finish off this card.
This card was inspired by the sketch at ICSketches, and by Annmaree, who showed some lovely cards using this paper as well :) Oh, as a heads up, because I have a serious back log of cards to move (over 150!) I have created a MadeIt page. There will be stock reaching there periodically, with a big sale over on my closing Facebook Page

Thanks for popping by!

Stampin' Up! Friends never Fade and I create a Friendship card

Hi guys! I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas period! I had such a great Christmas, it was lovely to spend some time with my family. I have a card to share with you today.
I used a Basic Black card base, which I layered with some Basic Gray, which was stamped using the bold 'waratah' flower in Black. Once I was happy with that I wrapped some non-Stampin' Up! Ribbon around it and tied a bow. I then stamped the sentiment image from Friends never Fade in Pool Party and cut it out, I layered it on to a piece of Glitter Paper and then some Basic Black. I rounded the corners before finishing this card.
I used inspiration from the Clean & Simple Sketch for this one, although I altered it slightly to fit my images.
I have some good news to share too! I entered the ICSketches Design Team call they had earlier in the month, and I was lucky enough to be selected for a four month term over there! *Happy Dance* So, keep your eyes open for my first post from them in January!
So, until next time,
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Timeless Type Sizzlet and I create a Scrapbooking Page with Bonus Sketch!

Hi Guys! I've been a terrible blogger of late! I do have a scrapbook page to show you this evening though! I have taken on the task of scrapbooking all the photos of my niece and nephew so, you will probably see a lot more of this gorgeous child :)
This was Sam just after his first birthday, wearing the firemans hat that he received. I have used my favourite base card stock, Crumbcake which I have layered with patterned papers from various companies (they were all off cuts, so I can't tell you which ones, sorry!) Then with my newest addition for the Big Shot, I cut out the I and Up using the Timeless Type Sizzlets, I was quite hesitant in outlaying such a large amount ($139.95) but, I think they will be used all the time, so keep an eye out for more using it :) I added the When and Grow using some mini letter stickers (Echo Park I believe) and did some doodling around the photos using a black Stampin' Write Marker and around the page itself.
Here is the sketch of this layout, don't forget, you can view all the sketches here.
Thanks for dropping by, I hope to have more to share tomorrow :)
Happy Stamping/Scrapping!

Stampin' Up! Short and Sweet and Brayering make a Birthday card!

I've been on a little bit of a roll making cards these last few days... are you sick of me yet? Anyway, this is another one to add to my stash for birthday cards (I have 7 to make for November!)
This is a fairly basic card, and came together fairly quickly.... I got out a piece of Whisper White, and brayered it using So Saffron, More Mustard and Peach Parfait, then I stamped this cute little stamp (from HOTP) in Staz On. I layered it on some Basic Black and set it aside. The card base is More Mustard, with a layer of So Saffron, which has been run through the Big Shot using the Polka Dot Embossing folder. I then wrapped some satin ribbon around it and tied a bow, and attached it to the card base. I stamped the sentiment, which is from Short and Sweet and then attached the image panel and a few Basic Rhinestones, which I'd coloured using a Sharpie Marker.
I am entering this into The Paper Players Anything Goes, Fall Challenge. I chose to go with autumn colours, and also the seeds are 'falling....' ok... so, not falling but anyway....
Thanks for dropping by!
And don't forget my Blog Candy!

Stampin' Up! Watercolouring with There She Goes Stamps

Ok, so I've been in the mood for watercolouring lately, and haven't been doing many clean and simple cards, but today, I have a clean and simple creation to share
I won a gift voucher for There She Goes stamps, so I bought this ^ set, which is called Dance and one which is called Hibiscus. I stamped the flowers using Staz On onto watercolour paper, and then coloured them using my Stampin' Write Markers and a blender pen. Once I had coloured all three images, I drew a border around them and mounted them on to Black Cardstock, and then they were each mounted on Very Vanilla card base. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up! Trendy Trees.
I have taken inspiration from Iwona and her card which can be seen here. I was going to enter this into the TSG challenge, but, by the time I went to link it up, it was closed.... Darn, too slow *sigh*
I will be entering it instead in to Clean & Simple Sketch and CAS-ual Fridays Colouring challenge.
Thanks for dropping by, don't forget, if you're an Australian, head on over to my blog candy giveaway here.
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Top Note Die and I create a stamp-less card!

Ok, so you guys know by now I have a huge stamp addiction yes? Well, I've been eyeing off the UnstampaBelles challenge for a few weeks now, and finally had an idea I wanted to play with...
Ok, so this is a fairly basic card, but I have to ease myself in to cards with out stamps... I have used the Top Note Die on the top section, in My Minds Eye paper, and some Basic Black card. I then layered it onto some White and added some faux stitching. I placed some rhinestone flourishes and then using a little birdy chipboard, traced it onto some Tangerine Tango Designer Series Paper and cut him out. I used some dimensionals to stick him to the image panel, and then mounted the whole kit and caboodle on to a Basic Grey card base...
This card not only fits the UnstampaBelles challenge of Autumn and stitching (I was inspired by autumn colours), it also follows the sketch from The Stamp Spot, and the colours from ColourQ.
Thanks for dropping by!
I have a regular stamped card to show you too, come back later! :)

Stampin' Up! I {Heart} Hearts and Vintage Vogue create an engagement card

Hi guys! I told you I'm loving my new light globe, makes crafting at night easy, even photographing my cards at night is easier!
Pretty basic card this one, it is a 4.25" square in Whisper White which has been stamped with the hearts from I {Heart} Hearts in Basic Black and Real Red. I have also punched two hearts from the 2-step Owl punch and the Mini heart punch in Basic Black and stuck them down. I have stamped the sentiment from Vintage Vogue, {Life happens, Love helps} I then drew a small border around the card to finish it off.
I am entering this into three challenges, the first is The Play Date Cafe Black and White with a splash of Red challenge, I am also entering this into the CAS-ual Fridays Colour challenge, which is to be inspired by a book, I have been inspired by a book I recently finished, The Memory Keepers Daughter, By Kim Edwards , which I think shows that even though life does go on, love is an important part of life... The final challenge I am entering this into is the Moxie Fab World Square Sketch challenge.
Ok, that's all for me, but pop over to each of those challenges and have a go, they are all a lot of fun!
Until next time...
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! I {heart} Hearts and Basic Phrases make Anniversary Cards

Hi again! Sorry it has been quiet around here again, it is peak uni assignment season, so I have spent my time doing my assignment.... This evening as a reward for getting more than half way through my Japanese assignment, I spent sometime in the craft room...
This is a Very Vanilla card base, layered with some KaiserCraft flocked paper (beautiful) I have then wrapped some pink satin ribbon around the patterned paper. I stamped three hearts from I {Heart} Hearts on some scrap Vanilla, in Daffodil Delight and Blushing Bride. I stamped the sentiment from Basic Phrases (which is retiring in 7 days!) in Basic Black and then stuck down the hearts, the Blushing Bride heart has had a  touch of dimension added, using a pop-dot. The image panel was mounted on a Blushing Bride piece, slightly bigger, and then it was all adhered to the front of the card.
I am entering this into two challenges, the first is The Paper Players sketch, which is quite a clean and simple one, but in my take, the white space element has been covered in patterned paper. The second is the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger, which I have used the bold pattern on the floor as my inspiration, as well as the pink and yellow touches.
Anyway, thanks for dropping by!
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Just Believe and Tiny Tags to create a Thank You Card

I know you've all seen this image before, but today, I had a little bit of spare time in between study activities to quickly pull together a card
I have just used the image that I created on my first Brayering attempt and some Basic Black and Whisper White card stock. The lovely bracket at the bottom is from the Top Note die through the Big Shot. I adore my Tiny Tags stamp set and matching punch as it works on almost every layout. I have added some Basic Black Grosgrain Ribbon and a bow finished off with a white button.
I am entering this into The Paper Players sketch challenge.

Thanks for dropping by!
And as always, Happy Stamping

Stampin' Up Brayering 1st Try!

Hi guys, I don't have a card for you this evening, but I do have something cool to show you. After spending the day in study mode, I rewarded myself with a play of my newest toy... A brayer. I have seen beautiful work done with brayers, but this is the first time I've held one, let alone ink it up!
Ok, so this isn't perfect, not by any stretch of the imagination, but for a first try and lots of googling... I think it turned out ok. I started with So Saffron, then Peach Parfait and then finally a small amount of Poppy Parade. I then stamped the 'weed' image from Just Believe in Basic Black and sponged a little Basic Black around the base.
Any hints or tips would be much appreciated!
