I’m back!! My favorite things- unicorn dreams

Hi guys!

I know it’s been almost 4 years since I blogged. I haven’t been creating a whole lot while I’ve been gone, but I have done some pretty cool stuff! 

In April 2016, right after I stopped blogging, I got married!! 

It’s been a bit of a whirlwind since then! I did some markers locally with my cards, I’ve still got my Etsy store and my Facebook page (Jessidee Handmade if you want to find it) and I’ve changed jobs a couple of times. 

One of the BIGGEST changes happened in October 2018, when my husband and I became parents to a beautiful baby girl. You’ll just have to believe me she’s a stunner because we have made a decision not to share her face on social media or online. I do have a few cute pictures I CAN share with you though!! 

I’ll try to upload one every now and then, so you’re not overwhelmed with baby spam! Her name is Amelia (Amy for short) and she is a sassy little queen who makes everyone around her happy. 

Ok, now on to the card I have to share with you, now I’ve got you all caught up! 

I have a friends little one turning 3 next month, and thought now I’ve got a tidy craft area again, it’s time to create. 

This card is made using My Favorite Things - Unicorn Dream stamps, copics and patterned paper from Echo Park. I’ve used sequins, some cloud stickers and a die cut glitter 3 as embellishments.

Get Well Soon - MFT Card

Hello Hello!

I have a card to share today. 

I started with an older stamp set, I have had in my stash for a very long time. I stamped her on three different surfaces, my xpress it card (for colouring), on my backing card, and also on some patterned paper. I coloured her up, adding highlights to the umbrella, which has been paper pieced. I used patterned paper from Echo Park and Simple Stories. 

I printed a sentiment, on the pc, and layered it all up, with doodling all around my patterned papers. I added some sequins to finish off this card.

I have a couple of cards to share today, both featuring the same stamp, but different layouts/cards

Ok, so we'll start with this one. The stamp is from From the Heart digital stamps, and was coloured with my copics/spectrum noir markers. I used papers from My Minds Eye, and Doodle Bug and layered them all up. The sentiment for this one is My Favourite Things.

Next up 

This one uses exactly the same stamps, but I used papers from Echo Park, and layered them up. The sentiment is from another My Favourite Things stamp set.

MFT Unicorn Birthday Card

Hi Hi! I have another card to share today, this one, I have had in my mind for a couple of days, I was just awaiting the stamp set arriving!

I started by picking my papers, these are from Pink Paislee, I the selected my unicorn, and stamped and coloured him, and the rainbow, using my Spectrum Noir Markers and Copics. I die cut the circle, and cloud shapes and then built my card. The sentiment is from the same set as the unicorn. I've added a smattering of sequins to finish off the card

Some Odd Girl - Beach Mae - Birthday Card

Hi Hi! 

I have a bright, sunshine-y card to share today, which is to help me out of the winter funk. Today is Winter Solstice and it's extremely windy, and cold here. Anyway, summer dreaming with this card

I started with the digital stamp - Beach Mae from Some Odd Girl (she looks to be retired!) and coloured her up using my spectrum noir and copic markers. I then fussy cut her out, and set her aside, so I could make the card.

I used patterned papers from Lawn Fawn, Fancy Pants and a non-branded paper pad

I added some paper and resin flowers, and some polka dots.
The sentiment is from My Favourite Things, and Simon Says Stamp

Hello again 

I've got another card to share today. 

I used a cute My Favourite Things Tutu image, coloured up with my copic markers. I used patterned papers from Echo Park and Amy Tangerine, and layered them up with a doily, some ribbon and a trio of flowers, and button. I love this adorable little tutu image, and I'm surprised it's taken me so long to colour her up.

This is another card I've made this week 

For this card, I dug out a stamp from The Greeting Farm, which is one of my favourites. I love her beanie and teddy bear. I coloured her up, using both Spectrum Noir and Copic Markers, and fussy cut her out. I used papers from Echo Park and My Minds Eye, and the sentiment is from My Favourite Things. I sat her on a doily, to create a girly feel.

Hi Hi!

I'm sharing a quick card with you today, one that I made this past weekend 

For this card, I dug out some older stamps, that I haven't coloured in a VERY long time. These are two different Gorjuss Stamps, coloured using my Copic markers, and Spectrum Noir Markers. I layered it up using patterned papers from Simple Stories. I used a doily and the sentiment is from My Favourite Things. I also added some adhesive gel dots.

Hi Guys! I have a quick card to share today. 

For this card, I used the digital stamp Some Odd Girl - Lady Bug Tia (currently on sale for $1), I've coloured her with Copics and Spectrum Noir Markers, and added stickles to her wings. I used patterned papers from My Minds Eye and Echo Park, the sentiment is from My Minds Eye, I've also added some Stampin' Up! Ribbon as well as some bling and paper flowers (D-Lish Scraps)

My Favourite Things - Cards - Penguins in Paradise and Woof You

Hi Guys! I've recently started holidays from work (yesterday was my last day) so I got home and crafted. I made two cards and will share both with you today!
Both, are fun, bright cards, but we will start with this one -

For this card, I used a new My Favourite Things stamp set in my collection, called Penguins in Paradise, stamped and coloured using Copic Markers. I used papers from Lawn Fawn, and a no name brand paper pad I bought at our local cheap shop. I added some doodling, some black resin dots and some bright pink ribbon.

Here's my second Card - 

I used another MFT Stamp for this one - Woof You and coloured her, using copics, and paper pieced her overalls. I've used patterned papers from My Minds Eye and the same orange (cheap shop purchase) from the previous card. I popped some yellow ribbon on, as well as some paper flowers.

Hi guys! Sorry for the break between postings, it's been a tad crazy here. Anyway, on to my card

For this card, I had Hipster Kody coloured on my desk for about a week, before he ended up on a card. I coloured him using a mix of copic and spectrum noir markers, and fussy cut him out. I used papers from My Minds Eye and doodled around the edges of all of them. I then layered them up, and added a die cut circle, stamped with a sentiment from My Favourite Things. 

I attached Kody using dimensional adhesives and doodled on the lettering, and Kody's eyes.

MFT Stamps - Pure Innocence - Feline Better

Hi Guys!

I've got a clean and simple card to share today. 

For this card, I used the MFT stamp, Pure Innocence Feline Better stamp, coloured with my copic markers, and paper pieced using some no name brand paper from a local discount store. I layered this little chicka on a die cut tag (from the silhouette), and popped on a die cut silver, glitter border piece, as well as a smattering of silver sequins.

The Greeting Farm - Hello and Thank You cards

Hi guys! I got to craft on Sunday night, and sat and created two similar cards! These little gals will be in my etsy and Madeit stores hopefully tonight. So, keep an eye out.... Now, onto the cards!

I started out colouring up Hood here, but chose a purple cape, instead of the usual red. I then grabbed some papers, from American Crafts and layered them up with some Perfect Plum card stock, which I'd run through the big shot, using my Hexagon Embossing plate. I added some ribbon, and a trio of flowers. The sentiment on this one is My Favourite Things. 

The second card I made, with the leftover paper from the first one, I stamped and coloured Beauty using my Spectrum Noir Markers, then using a stamp from Simon Says Stamp, stamped the sentiment. All the details on this one are the same as the one above...

I started by printing the digital stamp - Phone Call Mae (Some Odd Girl) and colouring her using my Spectrum Noir markers. I die cut her out and then selected my papers, which are a mix of Bella Blvd, a no name branded one (the yellow) and Teresa Collins. The sentiment is from MFT and I hand cut the speech bubble, as I couldn't find the matching die. I doodled around all the edges, and added a strip of white satin ribbon, and a trio of flowers.

The Greeting Farm & Bugaboo Stamps Birthday Cards

Hi guys! I've been popping things in, and changing things up, in both my madeit and etsy stores, so pop over for a look!

Last night, I was up late, creating a couple of birthday cards... One just for fun, the other because a friend is celebrating their 29th birthday today, and I procrastinated creating ;)

Here is the first one - 

I had to play with my all new patterned papers, from Kaisercraft (OMG, this is an amazing collection!) I grabbed the woodgrain paper, and the giant flower one, and the other paper is Carte Bella. I layered them up, and then decided on the stamp I wanted to use, which is from The Greeting Farm and coloured her up using my Spectrum Noir Markers. I popped her into one of the polaroid frames, from Kaisercraft, and stamped the sentiments, which are a mix of Some Odd Girl and My Favourite Things. I added a bunch of paper and resin flowers. I printed out the digital stamp, from Bugaboo Stamps, and coloured it up using my Spectrum Noir Markers, mounted it on some blue paper from Echo Park, which I'd printed the sentiment straight onto. 

I added a few rhinestones, and some doodling, and called this card done!

Hi guys! 

I've been busy with work, uni work and of course, more custom orders! There are still a number of cards in my madeit and etsy stores, that are looking for homes, so fear not! (this one will be heading there soon!)

I started out with the leftovers from this card on my desk, and decided to just colour up Library Mae, for no other reason than she was on my desk ;) I also used some notepaper patterned paper (My Minds Eye and Echo Park), and a piece of twine. I added my Mae, after I fussy cut her, then added some flowers, including a cherry blossom and some paper roses. I attached 4 rhinestones, and a button, and stamped my sentiment (My Favourite Things) To finish her off, I added dimensional magic to her glasses

Hiya!

I got happy mail yesterday, which included one of the shiny new releases, from Some Odd Girl, which I had to ink up straight away!

I'm getting around to popping him in my etsy and madeit stores soon! (I've just got to re-take one of the photos, as it came out blurry *sad panda*)

I started by inking and colouring up Hipster Kody, and coloured him with my Spectrum Noir Markers, I then fussy cut him out. I used patterned papers from My Minds Eye, and October Afternoon (an old collection). I doodled around the edges, then added Kody, using dimensional adhesive, stamped a sentiment (My Favourite Things,) die cut it (MFT die-namics) and then stamped and coloured the little camera (Imaginisce Stamps) and fussy cut it out. The hearts are die cut using the Lawn Fawn hearts die, using SU! Poppy Parade card stock.

Dad's Birthday Card!

Hiya! I'm slowly getting back into crafting! I've had a chance to play, after working on all my uni readings today! But, this card, I created yesterday...

For this one, I started by stamping, and colouring up the dad image from New Parents (The Greeting Farm), and then setting him aside. I chose patterned papers from Echo Park and Teresa Collins, and layered them up with black card stock. I then stamped the sentiment, which is a mix of two My Favourite Things sets. I added four black rhinestones, as well as a metal cog, to match the paper and called this card done!
