Some Odd Girl - Hipster Kody. World's Greatest Brother

Hi guys! Sorry for the break between postings, it's been a tad crazy here. Anyway, on to my card
For this card, I had Hipster Kody coloured on my desk for about a week, before he ended up on a card. I coloured him using a mix of copic and spectrum noir markers, and fussy cut him out. I used papers from My Minds Eye and doodled around the edges of all of them. I then layered them up, and added a die cut circle, stamped with a sentiment from My Favourite Things.
I attached Kody using dimensional adhesives and doodled on the lettering, and Kody's eyes.

Now, onto my card!
This month, I wanted to finally use some butterfly stickers I received from Alacraft, in one of my very first orders! So, I grabbed the sheet of stickers and my patterned papers and set to matching them! I used the pink check paper from the Sweet Party paper pad ($2!) and some matching purple, and hot pink patterned papers (Kaisercraft), I layered everything up on white card, and attached it all using this tape I finished off by doodling around the edges. I coloured my images, from Some Odd Girl, fussy cut her out and attached her using foam adhesive. I added my butterfly, and stamped my sentiment, then added some sequins (you could use flat back diamantes for the same look) for some added sparkle.

D-Lish Scraps - Scrapbooking January Inspiration Board!

Oh my! It's time to share my page for the D-Lish Scraps Inspiration Board challenge!
You all know how much I dislike the colour purple? Yeah, so this one threw me a bit... Right when the DT were putting together their samples, Pantone announced the colour of the year...
Yup, it's purple!
I think Amanda is a little bit psychic, or just very on trend ;)
Anyway, on to my page!
I had this photo, of Richard (the boyfriend) and I... he's so affectionate, so photos like these are going to be common.. hehe. Anyway, I went through all my patterned papers, and found the base paper, from Kaszazz, and then layered it up with some really old My Minds Eye paper. I popped some doilies down and then clustered embellishments...
In this corner, I've started with a resin cameo frame, in turquoise... Then added a bunch of flowers, including a large, old fashioned rose, violas and cosmo daisies. I added a paper and resin rose from the grab bag. In this corner, I added a wooden flourish heart, and a bunch of purple rhinestones.
Ok, so this corner, I started with the other big, old fashioned rose, and layered it up with more violas, daisies and roses. I also added a touch of turquoise in this corner, using a flair button from the washi heart set, and a touch of sparkle, using a sequin heart patch (I love this by the way) I also added more rhinestones, and my title, which is chipboard mini word (gotta love these for 60c each!), which I've left natural.
I'm really happy with how this page turned out, considering it's very purple! You've got a whole month to play along, so feel free to pop over and have a go... Don't forget the Just Add Paper kits, which are a bargain at $10!

Scrapbooking - D-Lish Scraps December Inspiration Board!

Hiya!
I have some exciting news, to share... Amanda, from D-Lish Scraps asked me to be part of the Summer creative team for the Inspiration Board challenges that are set every month at D-Lish
So, this months challenge went live about 2 hours ago... Here is the Inspiration board -
I started out looking at the inspiration board, and was struck by the butterflies, and the flowers, so they were my main focus. I used patterned paper, from Webster's Pages, and some cream card stock. I added some gold doodling... The pic is from a recent girls night out.
I gold embossed a filigree metal butterfly, using Gold Zing embossing powder, I also used a carnation, a mini pvc doily, in cream and some gold metal roses, oh and a heart pin.
Next to the photo, I've used a gold foil doily ( love these!), a chipboard butterfly, which I've gold embossed as well, another pvc doily, heart pin, carnation and more gold roses, I also added an apricot rhinestone circle for an added touch of bling!
Love how this page came together, in the end, everything just fell into place!
Don't forget to check out the D-Lish Scraps Just Add Paper Kits (going up this afternoon), to see what is available, to go along with this awesome inspiration board challenge!

The Greeting Farm & Alacraft Birthday Card

It's that time of the month again, where I share my Alacraft project with you all!
Don't forget the monthly giveaway on the Alacraft website, and the 20% off for all blog readers (just use code JESS20 on checkout)
Now, on to my card! I'm really excited by this one... Sad, I know...
As always, I started by picking out some patterned papers, and the stamp I wanted to use... For this card, I used Echo Park patterned paper, and stamps by The Greeting Farm, & Stampin' Up! I coloured up my little girl, using pinks and purples, then set her aside. I folded a card base in white, then trimmed down some pink card to fit inside it. My patterned paper was trimmed to size, then doodled around the entire piece. I then added some pretty Satin ribbon (in Iris, I think). I popped a ribbon slider on, and attached the ribbon to the back of my card, using double sided tape. Then, I went through my stash of flowers, and grabbed a white flower with pearl stems, a pink flower and a purple rose. These were attached with hot glue, and then I found a pink rhinestone, and had it peek out from behind the white flower...

Free Spirit Bottle Caps. I have a card to share with you all this morning, made using the wonderful sketch from Annmaree!
Firstly, here is the sketchy -
F-Sketchy 36
And, here is my card -
I've just noticed the middle ribbon really isn't straight! Oops! I have used the two little angels from C.C. Designs, which I have then coloured up with my Spectrum Noir markers. The doily is cut from Vellum and the angels sat on top. I have stamped the sentiment, and added a touch of bling to their wings...
Here's a close up -

The Greeting Farm & Finding Nana Buttons

I have a fun birthday card to share with you today! (I was going to share a tag, but then my findingnana buttons arrived, and I HAD to play! I dug out an older The Greeting Farm stamp and inked her up -
I started off with a colour palette using the patterned papers as a starting guide. It's from Amy Tangerine, and I coloured up Anya using my Spectrum Noir Markers. I then built up my card, doodling around the edges to add to the eclectic style. I stamped the sentiment from My Favourite Things, and cut it out using the MFT Die-namics and doodled around it too... The findingnana button, which is from Birds & Flowers. I cut a die-cut circle, and the ruffled some lace around it, and made a flower.... I popped the button in the middle.  I love the findingnana buttons, and plan on using them on LOTS especially when I start to "smash book"
I used the sketch from The Greeting Farm - Double Take Tuesday sketch! I'm also linking it up to the Paying It Forward challenge

Feeling Sketchy Week 33

Hi Guys! It's week 33 (!) at Feeling Sketchy, and we've got another sketch for you to enter for your chance to win a prize pack from D-Lish Scraps! Here is the sketchy -
F-Sketchy 33
Another clean and simple sketch!
Here is my interpretation -
I used a free digital stamp from The Alley Way Stamps, and coloured it up with my Spectrum Noir Markers, to match this fun flower printed paper from Kaisercraft. I cut out the main image panel using a nesting label, and popped it up on dimensionals. I added two kinds of ribbon, and stamped my sentiment (SU!) before adding some rhinestones and of course, stitching around the panel. Here are some close-ups -
Don't forget to pop by the other sketchette's blogs to take a look at what they've been up to -
And of course, the main blog to join in the fun -

Stampin' Up! Elements of Style

Well, it's the start of another month in the Feeling Sketchy Calendar, which means we've got a new sponsor! This one is definitely one of my favourite stores (I'm sure I say that every month!) You've probably seen me link to this store a bit recently.... D-Lish Scraps! These guys have some of the yummiest scrapbooking / cardmaking embellishments out there, and they are über cheap! Head on over and take a peek! (You can blame me when you become addicted!)
Now, on to this weeks sketch, a clean and simple offering from Annmaree -
As always, this can be rotated, and the oval switched out for another shape, just make sure we can see the sketch in there... Here is my card -
I dug out a bunch of Stampin' Up! Stuff for this card! I used my Polka Dot embossing folder, as well as my new loved Fancy Fan embossing folder, I used Elements of Style and my Spectrum Noir markers to colour in the flower image. The sentiment is from A Word for You Stampin' Up! stamp set as well. I die cut the main image panel using my nestabilities, and drew a border using a fine tip pen. The card used in this is Pink Pirouette and Certainly Celery. I added some stickles to some of the flowers, which you can see below.
Thanks for popping by! I hope you find time to play this week at Feeling Sketchy!

Feeling Sketchy - Week 30!

Hi guys! It's that time of the week again! It's time for Feeling Sketchy! We're being sponsored by Illawarra Scrapbookers, and here is our sketch -

And my interpretation -

I chose this fun paper, from Kaisercraft. I coloured up my Greeting Farm image to match the papers, I found the perfect combination for the jeans using my Spectrum Noir Markers- BGR1 all over, BGR3 in the deepest shadow areas, TB3 close to the BGR3, then TB1 close to the TB3 and then BGR1 all over the jeans for blending.
I used these cogs from Twiddleybitz chipboard, covered them in silver embossing powder, and heat set them. I then added a bit of 'wear' to the spokes. I added the sentiment, from Stampin' Up! and a star shaped brad to the middle of the bottom cog.
Thanks for dropping around! Don't forget to join us at the challenge blog, and link up your entry!

Feeling Sketchy - Week 28

This weeks sketch for Feeling Sketchy I fell in love with! Thanks to Annmaree for this design! I loved it so much, I made three cards! They're for sale over in my MadeIt Store.
F-Sketchy 28
And, here are my cards -
I used the same Some Odd Girl digital stamp for all three, Beach Babe Kaylee, which I coloured up with my Spectrum Noir Markers. I then fussy cut her out, and popped her on these Kaisercraft frames from our sponsor this month - Illawarra Scrapbookers. I printed out a photo of Newcastle Beach, and attached Kaylee to it. I then stamped my sentiment, (SU! Basic Phrases) and used my label maker to finish it off. I added three little black rhinestones to the My Minds Eye patterned paper and laid it all out on Vanilla cardstock. I finished this card off by adding a touch of sparkle (using Stickles) to Kaylee's glasses.
I'm entering these in the Simon Says Stamp Sparkle challenge
Thanks for dropping by!
