Feeling Sketchy Week 36

Hi guys! I've had a couple of weeks off of Feeling Sketchy DT to recharge my batteries, and come back with a fresh look at things! It's the new month, so we have a brand new sponsor! Free Spirit Bottle Caps. I have a card to share with you all this morning, made using the wonderful sketch from Annmaree!
Firstly, here is the sketchy -
F-Sketchy 36
And, here is my card -
I've just noticed the middle ribbon really isn't straight! Oops! I have used the two little angels from C.C. Designs, which I have then coloured up with my Spectrum Noir markers. The doily is cut from Vellum and the angels sat on top. I have stamped the sentiment, and added a touch of bling to their wings...
Here's a close up -
Don't forget to pop over to Feeling Sketchy to play along this week!

Feeling Sketchy Week 33

Hi Guys! It's week 33 (!) at Feeling Sketchy, and we've got another sketch for you to enter for your chance to win a prize pack from D-Lish Scraps! Here is the sketchy -
F-Sketchy 33
Another clean and simple sketch!
Here is my interpretation -
I used a free digital stamp from The Alley Way Stamps, and coloured it up with my Spectrum Noir Markers, to match this fun flower printed paper from Kaisercraft. I cut out the main image panel using a nesting label, and popped it up on dimensionals. I added two kinds of ribbon, and stamped my sentiment (SU!) before adding some rhinestones and of course, stitching around the panel. Here are some close-ups -
Don't forget to pop by the other sketchette's blogs to take a look at what they've been up to -
And of course, the main blog to join in the fun -

Stampin' Up! Elements of Style

Well, it's the start of another month in the Feeling Sketchy Calendar, which means we've got a new sponsor! This one is definitely one of my favourite stores (I'm sure I say that every month!) You've probably seen me link to this store a bit recently.... D-Lish Scraps! These guys have some of the yummiest scrapbooking / cardmaking embellishments out there, and they are über cheap! Head on over and take a peek! (You can blame me when you become addicted!)
Now, on to this weeks sketch, a clean and simple offering from Annmaree -
As always, this can be rotated, and the oval switched out for another shape, just make sure we can see the sketch in there... Here is my card -
I dug out a bunch of Stampin' Up! Stuff for this card! I used my Polka Dot embossing folder, as well as my new loved Fancy Fan embossing folder, I used Elements of Style and my Spectrum Noir markers to colour in the flower image. The sentiment is from A Word for You Stampin' Up! stamp set as well. I die cut the main image panel using my nestabilities, and drew a border using a fine tip pen. The card used in this is Pink Pirouette and Certainly Celery. I added some stickles to some of the flowers, which you can see below.
Thanks for popping by! I hope you find time to play this week at Feeling Sketchy!

Here is my layout -
I scrapbooked some old photos of Sam, who will be 3 soon!  I used patterned paper from Pink Paislee, and did some stamping, and embellishment clusters, have a close up -
I then made a card for my The Stamp Spot DT post, which I used a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp for -
Head over to The Stamp Spot to find more details and close ups for this card!

Feeling Sketchy - Week 30!

Hi guys! It's that time of the week again! It's time for Feeling Sketchy! We're being sponsored by Illawarra Scrapbookers, and here is our sketch -

And my interpretation -

I chose this fun paper, from Kaisercraft. I coloured up my Greeting Farm image to match the papers, I found the perfect combination for the jeans using my Spectrum Noir Markers- BGR1 all over, BGR3 in the deepest shadow areas, TB3 close to the BGR3, then TB1 close to the TB3 and then BGR1 all over the jeans for blending.
I used these cogs from Twiddleybitz chipboard, covered them in silver embossing powder, and heat set them. I then added a bit of 'wear' to the spokes. I added the sentiment, from Stampin' Up! and a star shaped brad to the middle of the bottom cog.
Thanks for dropping around! Don't forget to join us at the challenge blog, and link up your entry!

Feeling Sketchy - Week 28

This weeks sketch for Feeling Sketchy I fell in love with! Thanks to Annmaree for this design! I loved it so much, I made three cards! They're for sale over in my MadeIt Store.
F-Sketchy 28
And, here are my cards -
I used the same Some Odd Girl digital stamp for all three, Beach Babe Kaylee, which I coloured up with my Spectrum Noir Markers. I then fussy cut her out, and popped her on these Kaisercraft frames from our sponsor this month - Illawarra Scrapbookers. I printed out a photo of Newcastle Beach, and attached Kaylee to it. I then stamped my sentiment, (SU! Basic Phrases) and used my label maker to finish it off. I added three little black rhinestones to the My Minds Eye patterned paper and laid it all out on Vanilla cardstock. I finished this card off by adding a touch of sparkle (using Stickles) to Kaylee's glasses.
I'm entering these in the Simon Says Stamp Sparkle challenge
Thanks for dropping by!

Feeling Sketchy - Week 27!

Hi guys, I'm a little late posting this week for Feeling Sketchy. We have a new sponsor this month, one of my favourite places to shop (semi locally) Illawarra Scrapbookers

And here is this weeks sketch -
F-Sketchy 27
So good for different interpretations! I needed a baby card for a girl at work who had a healthy little boy last Thursday.... here is my card -
I used a mix of patterned papers that were on my desk from a scrapbook page I did the other night. These were the perfect combo for a baby boy card. I think there is Kaisercraft, We R Memory Keepers and My Minds Eye. The Stamps are Stampin' Up! and The Alley Way Stamps (Jibber Jabber) and I added a whole bunch of tiny dots of stickles around the edge for some bling.
I am entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes challenge too :)

Feeling Sketchy - Week 25 - Rain, Snow, Shine

Hi again! I have my DT card to share today for Feeling Sketchy! This week, we have a Circle sketch, you can of course make a regular rectangle card, a scrap page, a square card or like me, a circle card.... Here's the sketch -
 F-Sketchy 25
I made a card for this sketch last week, but really didn't like it, and then couldn't find it, so last night, I stayed up and made a new one.... here it is -
'
I inked up my Miss Anya - Rain, Snow and Shine stamp, this is obviously "Snow" and coloured her with my Spectrum Noir markers while having coffee with a friend yesterday (in a cafe... we're those crazy people who sit there surrounded by craft supplies) Anyway, once I got home, I made the card for her, I used a little bit of Stickles on her hand warmer, the edge of her coat, boots and scarf. I then trimmed her out. While she was drying, I set to making my card. I used a Sahara Sand card base, layered with Vanilla card and patterned papers from My Minds Eye, distressed with Sahara Sand Ink. The lace is from a stall at the Newcastle Craft Show, which I have inked with more Sahara Sand Ink, I then added three little white roses, and stamped the Happy Birthday Sentiment. I added Miss Anya using dimensionals.
I am entering this into two challenges (apart from the Feeling Sketchy one), first up is the Splendid Stamping Old Lace challenge, and the Simon Says Stamp - We're so Trendy Challenge - Chevrons

Thanks for popping by! Don't forget to join us at Feeling Sketchy this week!

Feeling Sketchy Week 24

Sorry it has been so quiet on the blog this last week, I've been quite busy at work, and not done much apart from sleeping when getting home. I did pull out some supplies though, and create this card for this weeks Feeling Sketchy sketch -
and here is my card -

I used patterned paper from Authentique as well as Kaisercraft. The image is Whiff of Joy (I believe) and has been coloured up using my Spectrum Noir markers. I added some flowers that came free with a magazine, and left it fairly clean and simple. Pop over to the main blog and check out some more awesome DT inspiration

Father's Day Card 2012 - Feeling Sketchy

Hi guys! It's that time of the week again! Time for my Feeling Sketchy post! This week is the start of a new month, which means, we've got a new sponsor!!! Welcome to Sassy Scrapper! They have some seriously drool worthy stuff in their store, with flat rate shipping of $6.95, I suggest you go check them out!
Sassy Scrapper
Anyway, this weeks sketch was perfect for a Father's Day card -
F-Sketchy 23
And here is my card -
I downloaded a drawing of my dad's favourite car, and edited it in gimp to add my sentiment, I then printed it out on to white cardstock and cut it out using my dies. The patterned paper is from My Minds Eye, and went perfectly with the 'car' theme. I used ribbon from Ribbon Carousel, Woven Diamond Ombre Ribbon and tied a bow. It looked a little plain, so I got a hat pin out, and made a flag using patterned paper and hot glued it into place. The car itself got a liberal lot of Crystal Effects and the card base was stamped with the 'Worn' stamp by SU!
Overall, I'm happy with how this card turned out, masculine cards can be a bit trial and error.
Thanks so much for joining me back this week... Don't forget to link up your entries at Feeling Sketchy

The Greeting Farm - Miss Anya Dressy - Feeling Sketchy

Hi again! Back to share my Feeling Sketchy DT post with you this morning! I had a bit of fun with this sketch
FS #21
Here is my interpretation, flipped and rotated...
I started by paper piecing, and colouring this tall Anya, she is from The Greeting Farm, Miss Anya Dressy set, and I thought her outfit would look great with some Argyle print and make it into a school uniform. The patterned papers are from My Minds Eye. for the sentiment box, I decided to try to make it look like a notebook, held together with twine, the two strips on the side, I used Printed Twill Ribbon, which is in the August Ribbon Club Kit
I also took inspiration from the Retro Fresh colour challenge, Orange, Yellow and Light Blue, this stamp came out in 2009! I love it though, and will continue to use it!
Don't forget to pop over to the Feeling Sketchy blog, and play along for your chance to win a prize pack from Ribbon Carousel!

Feeling Sketchy Week 19

Hi Guys! It's week 19 for Feeling Sketchy, and we're still playing along with Ribbon Carousel!
Here is this weeks sketch -
And my take on it
I used Romantic Gwen from Some Odd Girls for this card. She's been in my stash quite a while now, and hasn't actually been used since I got her! I don't know why though, as she's totally adorable! I paper pieced her top, and coloured the rest of her with Spectrum Noir Markers. The patterned paper used in this card was totally out of my comfort zone, with pretty pinks and purples... I stitched around the outside of the lighter patterned paper and then adhered it to the card base. I popped Gwen up on a bunch of foam dots and adhered her to a Spellbinders Oval. I then added a small cluster of three buttons, one of which was threaded with Natural Jute Twine (from Ribbon Carousel) And a bow of super bright pink crinkle ribbon.
So, don't forget to pop over to Feeling Sketchy and play along!
By pure luck, this also fits the Bingo Challenge at Simon Says Stamp - I used the left hand down, Ribbon, Die-cut and Buttons

Feeling Sketchy- Week 19!

Hi Everyone! I am here this morning to share my Feeling Sketchy DT post.... It's the start of a new month, which means it's time for a new sponsor.... This is one sponsor I've been hanging out for... So, without further ado, Ribbon Carousel!
Here is the sketch for this week, perfect for busting out some of that hoarded ribbon.... You can't tell me you don't have some...
And, here is my card-
Are you totally surprised to see a card that doesn't have a coloured image on it? It does however have a big bow of ribbon that I admit to hoarding for almost 6months before using it... This ribbon is the 1" Blue/Green Reversible Satin Stitched Edge Ribbon from the Ribbon Carousel store. I honestly don't know why I've been hoarding this Satin ribbon, as it is absolutely stunning! I need more!! >_<
So, don't forget to pop over to the Feeling Sketchy blog and join in with this sketch!
