Lawn Fawn Dinosaur birthday card

Hi guys!
I’m back again with another card to share.

This one is a masculine birthday card, featuring some lawn fawn and some odd girl stamps.

For this card, I stamped my dinosaurs (Lawn Fawn) and used a combination of green copic markers polka dotted to create texture. I then fussy cut them out and popped them aside. The card base is grey, layered with patterned papers from Kaisercraft. The party hats are from a Some Odd Girl Stamp set, coloured again with my copics.
Here is a close up of the embellishments and the texture on my dinosaurs.

I am entering this card in to the Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge - Party Time and the My Favorite Things,
colour combination challenge. And crafters castle anything goes

Thanks for stopping by!

From the Heart Stamps - Doggy Birthday

Hey Hey! Just a quick almost midnight post, as I gave myself a break from the uni lectures I've been catching up on, and crafted...
If you've ever wondered what my desk looks like, while crafting, this is it
Anyway, onto my card -
I used the digital stamp from From the Heart Stamps, coloured up with my Spectrum Noir Markers, and patterned papers from Teresa Collins and Simple Stories. I doodled around the edges, and die-cut the main image, leaving the balloons free to "float"and also die cut a circle. I then added some buttons, twine and a sentiment, which is from Simon Says Stamp...

Kraftin' Kimmie - Sorry Card

Hi again!
Still a chance to get in store, and get 15% off for the Boxing Day Sale!
I do have a card to share today too... One I had a lot of fun creating. On Christmas eve, I went through my box of off-cuts and put 2-3 pieces together to create combinations to use before the new year arrived, so I could actually use some of the stuff that has been in my stash for too long! This card uses patterned papers from that stash...

The patterned paper on this card is My Minds Eye, Echo Park, and a small piece from Amy Tangerine. I did my customary doodling, and added some lilac ribbon, a star button and a sentiment tag, which simply says "4 You" I figured with the Kraftin' Kimmie - Angry Ballerina, this card could work as a "Sorry" Card, or a birthday card, with a sentiment such as "it's only another year" on the inside.

Whimsie Doodles - Octopus Kids Birthday!

It's that time of the month again, when I share my Alacraft make, and once again, I've got a card to show you!
As is always the case, Alacraft has a monthly giveaway, just head here, pop your email address in, for a chance to win! If you're not this months winner, but still want to spend up, there is the discount code for blog readers - 20% off! All you need to do is put JESS20 in at checkout, to redeem your discount!
Now, onto my creation!
I started out printing a digital stamp, by Whimsie Doodles, onto white card, just using my inkjet printer. I let the ink "set" for at least 12 hours before colouring it up, just so it doesn't smudge when I colour using my Spectrum Noir Markers. I used a colouring effect that looks great, when used on animals, instead of colouring in circles like I usually would, I dotted the markers on top of each other, blending from darkest to lightest that way. Once that was done, I set the little octopus aside, and went through my stash!
I grabbed a square card base, from the boys card making kit, these kits have everything you need (including envelopes,) to make a minimum of three cards! I then went through the patterned paper pad, Masculine and selected two fun papers. I stuck them on to more white card and doodled around the edges, using my favourite fine tip pen. I attached the image, and papers using double sided tape, added some purple braid, from this awesome trio (3 different ribbons, for $2!!!)  I love that they are all so luxurious, and different! I then attached a button, from the masculine card making kit, as well as a button, enamel dot, and washi tape from my collection. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up, but Alacraft also has a selection of stamps!

Hey There - Kraftin' Kimmie Owl Card

So, I've had an awesome weekend, I sold 5 cards from my Madeit Store, I put the feelers out, about stocking my cards in a boutique children's store, in Newcastle (which will be happening in the coming week or so!), and my Facebook page hit 300 likers (so there's a giveaway.) All the things are currently happening, and I'm loving being in the thick of it!
I also made a record 8 (or 9) cards over the weekend, which never happens, I also loved ALL of them, also another rarity... Anyway, here is one I made on Sunday -
I started off by picking out my papers, which are super old, My Minds Eye papers... I am trying to work through my stash, before I purchase more! I then dug out this little owl from Kraftin' Kimmie, inked it up and coloured it with my Spectrum Noir Markers. I die-cut the top or the notebook paper, to make it look like it's been torn from a notepad (thank you, My Favourite Things Die-Namics) I added a button, and some twine. Then, the sentiment (Some Odd Girl) and the moon with the hanging star....

Kraftin' Kimmie - Thanks to You...

Hi guys!
I've been crafting again... This one was made on Thursday night, and I'm only just getting around to blogging it... Working really does get in the way of craft time teehee...
This card, inevitably turned out very different to what I had planned... I wanted to play with new patterned papers, from Echo Park, or Teresa Collins, got them out, and couldn't make it work.... So, I dove back into the stash, and came up with this super fun, bright hearts pattern from Amy Tangerine... I found some grey polka dot paper too, from American Crafts. I decided to paper piece this little chickies dress, (she's a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp) I coloured her up using my Spectrum Noir markers and added some shading to her dress. I then trimmed her out, and set her aside. I mounted the Amy Tan paper on black card, then added a strip of embossing (also mounted on black card) doodled around the edges, and added my main image panel. The sentiment is from Some Odd Girl, and I went back to my KK to attach her, using some dimensionals. I added a black banner, a wood veneer heart (coloured black and has doodling - see close up), I also added a yellow heart button, a plain green button and some enamel dots...
Here's the close up-
for a card that was very different to what I wanted to make, I really like the finished product!

Kraftin' Kimmie- Bookmark

Hiya! I told you I'd be back to share another project... this is scheduled for today, so I'll be back....
I started off by picking out some patterned paper, and my stamp for this one.. I used patterned paper by PTI, and trimmed it down, doodled around the edges and then inked up my Kraftin' Kimmie stamp. I coloured her using my Spectrum Noir markers and trimmed her out. I laid down some black grosgrain ribbon, the popped my Kimmie up on dimensionals. I gathered some embellishments, a star button, a blue button and a red brad. I then layered them up using tape and foam adhesive. The top of the bookmark has a button and some embroidery twine.

The Greeting Farm - Birthday Card

Hi guys! I've been completely craft blocked recently... nothing seems to have wanted to work for me, so I've left it be.... I coloured this chicky up, made a card, hated it, and then remade it!
Here is the rejuvenated card -
I coloured this little chicky, using my spectrum noir markers, and fussy cut her out... I put her on a card, originally, and it was all just a bit too busy... So, I simplified and used polka dot patterned paper, from Sn@p and the bright pink plain paper from Echo Park. I layered them up with some white card, and doodled around the edges. I added a stamped sentiment (I have no idea where this one is from (!) and added some buttons and a sequin. I also added some ribbon loops, and some twine.

My Favourite Things - Father's Day card

Hi ya! I'm on a bit of a Father's Day kick at the moment, trying to get a few bits into my card store, in time to have them in the mail for September 1!
Here is one I made up yesterday -
I used the MFT Graphi Tee Stamp set, to stamp the "World's Greatest", the Dad was cut out using my bigshot and alphabet dies, in Artichoke card stock, and glued down. I used patterned papers from Echo Park (I think!) The yellow is the reverse side of the main background paper. I then added a speech bubble paper clip, a wooden flourish moustache (coloured with a brown spectrum noir marker) and added some buttons stack on top of each other, with a twine bow -

The Greeting Farm - Birthday Card - Alacraft

Hi guys! Today, it's time to share my sponsored post, for Alacraft!
Still running this month, is the $25 giveaway! Head here to pop your email address in for a chance to win.
Don't forget, you can also get 20% off of your order, just by popping JESS20 in at the checkout!
Here is my card -
As always, when I craft using my Alacraft products, I got everything out, and sat looking at it, trying to visualise a card coming together... This month, I wanted something super bright, and fun.... So, this card was born!
I started by grabbing out the masculine paper pad (the girly one is available too!) I've gotten a LOT of mileage out of these paper pads, and for only $2 each, it's an absolute bargain... any way, I grabbed the yellow and gray papers from the paper pad, and trimmed them down, to fit my square card base. The gray paper actually had an alien, and sentiment on opposing corners (which I've saved for later), but I trimmed them out, and just used the hexagons... I layered them together, and added a small piece of teal satin ribbon, and adhered it using some double sided tape. My next step was colouring up my Greeting Farm stamp, which I did with my Spectrum Noir Markers, before fussy cutting her out. (these scissors are awesome for getting into tight spots). Next, I placed little Anya on to a diecut doily, and added a stamped sentiment, onto another diecut. I attached an orange button, threaded with some twine, and two varying sized turquoise rhinestones.

The Greeting Farm - Owl Birthday Card

Hi guys! Uni has started back for trimester 2, so I have hit the books again, which means, I may go quiet on here around assignment time....
I had a chance to craft the other evening... Here is my card  -
I started out by stamping the owl from the retired The Greeting Farm set, Forest Friends, on my X-Press it blender card, and lightly drew a circle for a moon. I then coloured up the owl, and moon using my Spectrum Noir Markers, doing the background using a spotted background technique. (see this awesome tutorial for how to!) I then trimmed my main image panel down, and selected my patterned paper, from Echo Park Scoot Paper Pad, and also some glitter paper from Freckled Fawn. The little circle, between the main image panel, and the glitter banner is from the same Echo Park patterned paper, it is the reverse side of the diamond one I've used on the patterned paper panel. I doodled all around the edges (except the glitter layer) using my Project Life journaling pens, and then mounted everything onto some navy blue card, (based with white and stone coloured card). The sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie, which I then cut out with an MFT Die-namic, I added a navy button and some Lemondrop Twine from The Twinery to finish off my card!

Saturated Canary - Blank Purple Card

Hi guys! I'm seriously procrastinating writing an essay at the moment, so I thought I'd share a card with you!
I recently acquired this stamp, from Saturated Canary. It was second hand when I bought it, but how adorable is she?! I had to ink her up, pretty much straight away... I sat with my friend Kel, and had coffee, and coloured her up... sitting in the cafe... It's a great way to spend an afternoon! I used my spectrum noir markers, and just used what ever colours took my fancy... which isn't a way I usually create... Usually I pick my papers first! I then brought her home, fussy cut her out, and had to find papers that matched! I trawled through my stash, and found this light purple patterned paper (Grace Taylor) that has been in my stash for maybe 4 yrs! I layered it up with some off cuts from Kaisercraft, and MME. The paper flowers and button are from my stash as well.
I decided to leave this card sentiment-less for the time being... When I use it, I'll pop a sentiment on it!
I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches, and the challenge from Saturated Canary - Good vs. Bad... this chicky looks like she is so pure, and innocent... perfect for the "good" theme!

The Greeting Farm - You Rock!

Hi again!
I have another card to share today!
I think my craft mojo came back for a bit!
Here's the card I made -
I started out using this stamp from the Anya Lounge collection... I inked her up, and coloured her using my Spectrum Noir markers... I then picked out my papers, from Teresa Collins 6x6 paper pad, which I drew some doodled borders on to... I used some ribbon and twine with a button from my stash. The sentiment, is from The Alley Way stamps, and I added a few rhinestones and called it done :)

MFT - Thank You from the Bottom of my Heart

Hello! I have been on a bit break, I spent some time at my mums house, and chilled out. I did make a couple of cards (I'll share them soon).... But, here is the card I made last night...
I used some patterned papers from My Minds Eye, and some washi tape to decorate this card. The little MFT Pure Innocence chicky was coloured with Spectrum Noir Markers, and popped up on dimensional adhesive. The sentiment is computer generated. The button is from my stash.
I am entering this into two challenges, the first is the Tuesday Morning Sketches sketch from yesterday, and secondly, the Simon Says Stamp Heart challenge.
This little chicky will be up in my store soon :)

Kraftin' Kimmie - Angry Ballerina

Hi guys, I've been a bit quiet on the old blog again! I had a friend come visit for four days, and we walked around Sydney on Saturday, and then around Newcastle on Monday... I coloured up an image, and it's been on my desk since! I finally popped it on a card this evening...
Isn't this little chicky THE most adorable little one, she is so full of attitude! Love it! Anyway, as always, I coloured her up using my Spectrum Noir Markers, and the made my card. For the patterned papers in this one, I used Cosmo Cricket, and an unnamed paper. I also used my dies to create the main image panel, the background piece and the sentiment strip. I added buttons from my stash, and some pink rhinestones on the sentiment :) Here is a close up

Some Odd Girl - Warm Wishes Tia

I have a Christmas Card to share today, using the Some Odd Girl stamp set - Warm Wishes Tia. Here's my card -
I started off by stamping Tia on X-PressIt Blender card and coloured her up using my Spectrum Noir Markers. Once I was happy with how she was coloured, I added some white highlights using a white gel pen, and fussy cut her out. I layered her up onto a bunch of patterned papers from My Minds Eye, and doodled around the edges of all the papers using a fine tip black pen. I layered everything up, stamped a sentiment, then added a couple of buttons and some Charcoal Twine
I received my birthday present to myself in the mail yesterday...  Now, I have the full set of Spectrum Noir Markers, and let me tell you... It makes a WORLD of difference... I love them, and can see them getting oh so much use! I think I might actually learn to love purple... hehe... Anyway, ere is a close up of little Tia -
Thanks for popping by! Don't forget, our challenge this month is Tags, just use something from the shop in your creation! I also used inspiration from Mojo Monday, and their sketch. I was thrown a little as to what to do about the circle, so just made it work for me :)
