Scrapbooking my Newest Nephew

 On Sunday, I needed a break from cards, so I hit the craft desk, and started my youngest nephews Scrapbook! 

For this page, I went through my paper stash, and discovered a bunch of papers by Bella Blvd, that would work perfectly for a boy page! So, I grabbed those out, cut a giant star (using the program paint to draw one, printed it, and traced around it, onto my patterned paper), and then some small circles, using my big shot. I added stickers from My Minds Eye next to the photo, as well as a wood veneer heart (coloured using my spectrum noirs) as well as a flair button (Life in Bokeh)

The title is "So Happy to have you in our Family" and is made up of stickers, from My Minds Eye and Jillibean Soup. I added a small cluster, using a Sn@p sticker, another wood veneer heart, a star button and a grey resin star

Scrapbooking my Selfies

Hey guys! I've been scrapping, because it's almost always guaranteed to get my craft mojo back! I decided I should scrapbook some more of my selfies, and instagram pics... So, did some printing, and this is the page I created - 

 

I wanted to scrapbook the search for the "perfect" going out top... How my best friend and I spent all day, going to different shops, trying to find a top that I could pair with jeans, and go to dinner and drinks in, and still look dressed up. I didn't find anything I loved, which was a bit disappointing, until, the next day, we went to K-Mart to get cardboard for her daughters school assignment, and I spotted this top! It totally fulfils my requirements for the dressy top to wear out! 

On this page, I've used patterned paper from Carte Bella, and Amy Tangerine, from 6x6 paper pads, and a paper doily, I've added a cluster of embellishments, including a Freckled Fawn frame, a Prima Flower, chipboard bird (painted turquoise), Kaisercraft roses and a flair button. On the other side, next to the journalling, I've used a transparency from Maya Road and a sticker from Amy Tangerine.

The Greeting Farm - Masculine Birthday Card!

Hi Again! 

I've been busy creating for both my stores, to get a good range of cards back in, including kids birthday cards, as it's something that one of stockists wipes me out of, every time I supply her with cards! So, pop on over to my Madeit, and Etsy stores if you need a card for a special birthday! 

Anyway, onto todays card! 

For this one, I used the digital stamp, from The Greeting Farm (present Ian, I believe) I have had him printed out, with a whole bunch of other digital images, ready to be coloured up for weeks! I decided he needed to be on a card, and coloured him using my spectrum noir markers. I used patterned papers from Teresa Collins (love this paper), and teamed it with a piece of Sahara Sand card stock, which I'd run through the big shot with my embossing folder - hexagons. I doodled all around the edges (surprise surprise!) and then stamped the sentiment, from Technique Tuesday in Poppy Parage ink, and added a resin star from Freckled Fawn and some enamel dots.

Valentine's Card (last one, I swear!)

Hi guys! I really need to stop making Valentine's cards! But, I have got them all up in my Etsy and Madeit Stores, so pop over and take a gander ;) 

Anyway, onto my card -

For this card, I stamped my image (Kraftin' Kimmie), and coloured it up to start, using my Spectrum Noir Markers. I then doodled around the edges and grabbed a paper pad, from My Minds Eye, and cut, layered and doodled. I the stamped a sentiment, from My Favourite Things, and die-cut a gray doily to match the background paper (MFT Die-namics). For the embellishments, I grabbed my box of D-Lish Scraps flowers and grabbed a daisy, and rose, and of course, a star from Freckled Fawn (I'm obsessed with these at the moment) and some tiny rhinestones.

The Greeting Farm - Thanks to you, for being Wonderful!

Hi guys! I'm back again today,

and letting you know, that I've got a few journal/diaries back in stock, over in my store... I've only got a few diaries, so, once stocks are gone, I'm not sure when I'll get them back! 

I have a card to share today!

This little owl (the Greeting Farm) has been coloured, on my desk for a couple of days, he was originally going to go on to a new baby card, but I couldn't make it work... So, he sat there, looking at me... I fussy cut him out, attached him to a white base, with "Thanks to you, for being" stamped on it (Some Odd Girl) I then grabbed some patterned papers, both from Echo Park, and trimmed them down. I added my usual doodling, and some rhinestones, as well as some wood hearts, from Freckled Fawn.

Masculine Birthday Card - No Colouring!

Hi guys! I made another card the other night, for a friends birthday.... 

I wanted to make a card that wasn't overly "cutesy" as it was for a male friend, and didn't want it to be too over the top either... 

Here is the outcome -

I started out, going through my stash of 6x6 patterned papers, and selecting a few that went ok together... Starting from the top, we've got Sn@p, 24/Seven, then Authentique, then the orange-y one is by Kaisercraft, and is the Homemade collection. I used a piece of white, confetti cardstock in the middle, before repeating the papers down the page again. I looped some black grosgrain ribbon around the side, before attaching a bow, with a button, and a twine bow tied through the holes. I then stamped my sentiment, which is made up using The Alley Way Stamps, Jibber Jabber set. I stamped it using the rock and roll technique, using two shades of orange ink.
The rock and roll technique is simple, dab your stamp in the lighter colour first, than either rock the edge (or roll, depending on how you want it to blend) into the second ink. I just rocked the bottom edge slightly into my darker ink. I then pressed it down on to a piece of Confetti card, and die cut a circle. 

I added a trio of sequins to the bottom right corner of the card, and added an arrow paper clip, from Freckled Fawn to the sentiment circle, to finish the card off...

The Greeting Farm - Owl Birthday Card

Hi guys! Uni has started back for trimester 2, so I have hit the books again, which means, I may go quiet on here around assignment time.... 

I had a chance to craft the other evening... Here is my card  -

I started out by stamping the owl from the retired The Greeting Farm set, Forest Friends, on my X-Press it blender card, and lightly drew a circle for a moon. I then coloured up the owl, and moon using my Spectrum Noir Markers, doing the background using a spotted background technique. (see this awesome tutorial for how to!) I then trimmed my main image panel down, and selected my patterned paper, from Echo Park Scoot Paper Pad, and also some glitter paper from Freckled Fawn. The little circle, between the main image panel, and the glitter banner is from the same Echo Park patterned paper, it is the reverse side of the diamond one I've used on the patterned paper panel. I doodled all around the edges (except the glitter layer) using my Project Life journaling pens, and then mounted everything onto some navy blue card, (based with white and stone coloured card). The sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie, which I then cut out with an MFT Die-namic, I added a navy button and some Lemondrop Twine from The Twinery to finish off my card!

Scrapbook Page - Laugh as much as you breathe...

Hi guys! I have had a serious lack of mojo lately, so decided to try and get some scrapbooking done, to try and bring it back....

I printed my photo, which is from my nieces 2nd birthday party (held at the end of last month), and decided to scrap it, using the bright colours in the photo as inspiration! I grabbed some really old Echo Park Paper (Splash range) and used it as my main paper, I layered it up with some darker blue, and lighter blue card stock, and doodled around the edges. I then mounted my photo on some white card stock, and layered up a couple of pieces of washi tape, specifically #3 and #30. I then selected my embellishments -

I grabbed some paper blooms, as well as a Prima Pleated Flower, which I removed the pearl from and added a Finding Nana button instead. I added a wood veneer heart, from Freckled Fawn Wood Chips, as well as a Resistable Arrow, from Pink Paislee, which I inked with pink ink. To finish off this cluster, I added a Chic Tag and a couple of enamel dots.

This small embellishment cluster contains more Pink Paislee mistable shapes, which were sponged using pink ink, more enamel dots, and another Freckled Fawn wood chip.

My title of the page, is made up of lots of bits and pieces, alphas (I seriously love the look of mixed font titles!) I used pieces from Jillibean Soup Wise Words, Kaisercraft black and white mini alphas, Jillibean Soup Navy Alphabeans, and some random thickers that have been in my stash FOREVER! You can also see, on this photo, I've added an arrow paperclip from Freckled Fawn as well.
