Some Odd Girl - Hello

Hello again!

I’ve been back in the craft room, over a couple of sittings, to create this bright and fun card to share.

So to start this card, I coloured this stamp from Some Odd Girl with my copic markers (list below) and set her aside until I had time to make the card.

I had time this evening, after putting Amy (the baby girl) to bed. I used a white card base, layered with black and then white, before popping on some bright patterned papers, these are all from my box of offcuts!!

I then used a sticker from Jillibean Soup layered with more black cardstock, and fussy cut out. I have of course popped the main image up using dimensional adhesive and done my signature doodling all around the edges of each layer.

Here’s a close up for you

Scrapbooking my Newest Nephew

Hi guys! I've been busy creating more custom cards!
To order custom cards, pop over to my facebook page
On Sunday, I needed a break from cards, so I hit the craft desk, and started my youngest nephews Scrapbook!
For this page, I went through my paper stash, and discovered a bunch of papers by Bella Blvd, that would work perfectly for a boy page! So, I grabbed those out, cut a giant star (using the program paint to draw one, printed it, and traced around it, onto my patterned paper), and then some small circles, using my big shot. I added stickers from My Minds Eye next to the photo, as well as a wood veneer heart (coloured using my spectrum noirs) as well as a flair button (Life in Bokeh)
The title is "So Happy to have you in our Family" and is made up of stickers, from My Minds Eye and Jillibean Soup. I added a small cluster, using a Sn@p sticker, another wood veneer heart, a star button and a grey resin star

Scrapbooking!

It's April 1st, and that means April Fool's Day! It's not a joke, I am actually posting something! I know it's been a little over a week, since I posted anything, I've been a bad blogger!
But, to make it up to you, I do have a scrapbook page to share!
I started out with printing my photos, and then looking through my paper stash for the colour purple... of course, I had nothing! So, I decided on this chevron paper from Webster's Pages and, cut it in a sunburst pattern from the corner. It's a bit "off" as I just cut it using scissors! I then went through my stash, and found some die-cuts from Teresa Collins, for the frame, etc, and notes.
I used other stickers, from My Minds Eye, Bella Blvd, and Jillibean Soup. I used a bunch of flowers, paper and resin, as well as a resin birdy, from D-Lish scraps

Scrapbooking my Birthday!

Hello! I've been in a bit of a creative slump recently, nothing has been interesting me. One of my favourite ways to get out of a slump, like that is to grab some photos, and all my pretty embellishments and do a scrapbook page.
This page features a photo of me, all dressed up and ready to hit the town for my birthday last month.
I grabbed my photo, and went through my paper stash. The background paper is from Simple Stories, while the rest of it is by Websters Pages. I didn't really have a set colour theme or anything for this photos, as you can tell, it's quite a neutral photo.
I then went through my stash of embellishments. I used a polaroid frame (wow chipboard) and layered on top of it a big bloom flower, a flair and a bunch of resin roses and pearls. The Title runs up the side of the photo, and is from Jillibean Soup.
In the opposite corner, I added a prima flower, more resin roses and some paper flowers from D-Lish Scraps. I also found a tiny silver heart and added it in...

Scrapbooking!

Hi guys! I've been SUPER slack getting on here to blog, or even to photograph my cards/layouts....
I haven't even been crafting much!
I did scrapbook a photo I printed the other night though -
I started by going through my piles of 6x6 patterned paper pads, and came up with the colours in using the EPP - Sweet Girl Collection. For the long pink piece, I trimmed two pieces and joined them together, as I wanted them to peek behind my 6x4 photo. The join is behind the photo, so I didn't need to worry too much about making everything line up perfectly! As usual, I doodled around the edges, using my BH PL Journalling marker, as it has a super fine nib!
I have a box filled with lovely embellishments, including stickers, stamps and of course wooden flourishes, so I grabbed my box out, and went digging through it....
In this corner, I made up the sentiment, using JIL Soup Stamps - HelloKaisercraft mini alpha stickers, and a big JIL Wise Words - Friends. I then trimmed out some left over patterned paper, from EPP - Sweet Girl and attached them in staggered lengths. I added a Studio Calico cork arrow, a sticker from MME - Cut & Paste Tiny word stickers, and a speech bubble from October Afternoon. The last addition to this little cluster was a SC Wood Veneer Heart.
Now, I had some space to fill below the photo, and I wanted to leave it less embellished than the bottom corner, so, I whipped out my washi tapes, and layered some black chevron (not currently in store, but contact Michelle, to see if she can get more in!) I attached it onto some light aqua card stock, and trimmed it down, so it looked like an arrow. I then added a Date sticker, from  MME Cute & Paste, and wrote the date of the photo on to it. I attached it below the washi, and then attached another Studio Calico Arrow, and wood veneer heart. At the end of the washi tape, I added a Pink Paislee Mistable Star, which I'd inked up in pink, and a circle label from Sn@p Life Labels, which I'd stamped an Elle's Studio "smile" stamp on to. I finished off the entire layout with a smattering of sequins (to fill some of the white space)

Kraftin' Kimmie - Goldilocks Thank You card

Hi guys! I'm back today to share a card I made last night (I rewarded myself after finishing my lectures, and unit readings, with a bit of craftiness). I actually made two cards, so keep an eye out for the second one!
Here is my card -
I have a small obsession with Kraftin' Kimmie stamps at the moment... This was my first ever stamp from them... I stamped and coloured Goldilocks on to Xpress It card stock, coloured her up with my Spectrum Noir markers. I then gathered the rest of my supplies. For this card, I used some really old My Minds Eye patterned papers, and doodled around the edges. I then stuck everything down, and added a swirly metal paper clip, and some paper and resin flowers. The sentiment is from Jillibean Soup, and was stamped onto a MFT Die-namic banner.

The Greeting Farm - Surfing Anya "Hello" Card

Hi guys!
I started this card a couple of days ago, as in, Tuesday... But, I couldn't get it to work for me... So I sat it aside and left it... I came back to it on Friday night, and pulled most of the elements off, leaving just the middle red paper, and the ledger paper at the top... This is what it became -
I was totally inspired by my awesome bloggy buddy Annmaree to create something summery, to warm up in this winter weather!
I stamped Surfing Anya in light yellow ink (So Saffron) and then coloured her up using my Spectrum Noir markers, to achieve a no-lines look.. This is the first time I've done this style, and been happy with how it turned out! I then grabbed some scrap papers from the paper holder on my desk, and made up the other two panels on the bottom. I added a strip of aqua ribbon and then mounted it all on Poppy Parade card before attaching Anya, the sentiment (Jillibean Soup) and a couple of enamel dots. The card base is Kraft...

Scrapbook Page - Laugh as much as you breathe...

Hi guys! I have had a serious lack of mojo lately, so decided to try and get some scrapbooking done, to try and bring it back....
I printed my photo, which is from my nieces 2nd birthday party (held at the end of last month), and decided to scrap it, using the bright colours in the photo as inspiration! I grabbed some really old Echo Park Paper (Splash range) and used it as my main paper, I layered it up with some darker blue, and lighter blue card stock, and doodled around the edges. I then mounted my photo on some white card stock, and layered up a couple of pieces of washi tape, specifically #3 and #30. I then selected my embellishments -
I grabbed some paper blooms, as well as a Prima Pleated Flower, which I removed the pearl from and added a Finding Nana button instead. I added a wood veneer heart, from Freckled Fawn Wood Chips, as well as a Resistable Arrow, from Pink Paislee, which I inked with pink ink. To finish off this cluster, I added a Chic Tag and a couple of enamel dots.
This small embellishment cluster contains more Pink Paislee mistable shapes, which were sponged using pink ink, more enamel dots, and another Freckled Fawn wood chip.
My title of the page, is made up of lots of bits and pieces, alphas (I seriously love the look of mixed font titles!) I used pieces from Jillibean Soup Wise Words, Kaisercraft black and white mini alphas, Jillibean Soup Navy Alphabeans, and some random thickers that have been in my stash FOREVER! You can also see, on this photo, I've added an arrow paperclip from Freckled Fawn as well.
I used inspiration from two different places for this layout -

Kraftin' Kimmie - Tinkerbelle, Smile Card

Hi guys!
Back again today... to share a card I made yesterday.
I started out stamping and colouring Tinkerbelle, from Kraftin' Kimmie using my Spectrum Noir markers, and fussy cutting her out. I then gathered my patterned papers I wanted to use... I used the grey paper from American Craft My Girl Collection, and a piece of scrap My Minds Eye My Girl paper, mounted them all on white card stock, and doodled a border around the edges. I used some yellow grosgrain ribbon and embossed a piece of Pool Party card using the Hexagon embossing folder (From SU!) and mounted it on white card as well. The sentiment, "Smile" is from Jillibean Soup. I die cut a circle, and popped Tinkerbelle on it before adding some stickles to her wings.
Here is the close up
I'm linking this up to the Kraftin' Kimmie Embossing challenge, and the Sketch from Deconstructing Jen #99
Thanks for popping by!

Scrapbooking - My Niece

Hi guys! I'm procrastinating today, and one of the things I did while procrastinating, was scrapbook.... I've been meaning to print out some photos of my niece from earlier in the year, and scrapbook them...
I started by printing my photos in black and white, trimming them down to 10cm x 10cm and layering them on some bright pink bazzil card. The main layout is Black card stock, with patterned paper by Bella Blvd, which I zig zag stitched a border onto. I then collected a range of Project Life 3x4 cards from my stash, which I think is Echo Park (I could very well be wrong), the Remember Card is from Sn@p
This is at the base of the journalling card, it has a sticker from Jillibean Soup, a Finding Nana Button and a little Wood Veneer Heart.
This section is up next to the top left photo, and has a chipboard flower (from Bella Blvd), a speech bubble stamped and die-cut (MFT) and a little pink button.
Another wood veneer hear, and a die cut tab (MFT) which has Brianna, 18 months on it.
On the bottom photo, I've added a Typo heart, another button and some words from this My Minds Eye Stickers. In the centre of the photos I've popped a Pink Paislee Artisian Chipboard Star, another Bella Blvd Chipboard flower, and button.
I've used the sketch from the MFT Scrap Sketch #7 and I'm also entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Challenge!
Thanks for popping around!
