Kraftin' Kimmie - Clara Valentine's Day Card

I've been at the craft desk once again! I have a whole range of Valentine's cards up in store now! And, just for being a blog reader, you can get 20% off until Monday, just use coupon code BlogLove on checkout!
Here is the card I have to share today -
I actually started this card a couple of days ago, and it just wasn't working for me... I had coloured Clara (from Kraftin' Kimmie) three times before I was happy with her, then because it had taken so long, I wasn't happy with the papers, or the style for the card. So, left Clara on my desk, to come back to. I used a mix of really old My Minds Eye patterned paper and new Pink Paislee, doodled around the edges, wrapped some seam binding ribbon and some new pink satin ribbon, I picked up at Spotlight a week ago, and tide a big bow. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up, and is the heart punchie.

The Greeting Farm - Birthday Card Polaroid!

Hi Ya!
I submitted my assignment for uni yesterday, so this morning, I had time to hit the craft desk *happy dance*
Here is the card I made -
I started by grabbing The Greeting Farm stamp set, and inking up this cutie... I coloured her up using my Spectrum Noir markers in grays, every thing that is, except her skin... I then trimmed her out, and grabbed a polaroid frame (mum bought them at K-mart a while back), I added a bunch of glitter card stock behind her. Then I set the frame aside, and focused on building the card.
I used patterned papers from Amy Tan, Teresa Collins and Sn@p (spreading the love a little)... I mounted everything on to slightly larger black cardstock and built up the card. I added a strip of velvet black ribbon, and a sentiment, which is from two different My Favourite Things stamp sets. I finished off the card by doodling borders (without a ruler). Here is the close up

Tickled Pink - Masculine Pirate Card

Hi guys! Sorry for the delay in posting, it's been another busy day! I have a birthday card to share today, that I made for a male friend...
I've had this tickled pink image stamped, and coloured in my stash, since I got my Spectrum Noir markers last year... Annoyingly, not long after this, I decided I didn't think I'd use him very much, so passed him on to someone else... Now, that I want to use him again, I don't have it... Anyway, he's been in my box of coloured images for well over a year! I decided to dig him out and make a card. The black and white spotted paper is from Kaisercraft, After 5 Collection (from way back), the moustache paper is from My Minds Eye, and the other two patterned papers you would have seen quite recently, on this card from last week. I used the two scrap pieces, mounted everything on black card stock, and added doodling around the edges. The pirate is popped up on dimensionals, and I added a spiral paper clip next to the sentiment...

Annabelle Stamps - Tomorrows Dream; Get Well Card

Hi guys! Sorry for the lengthy delay in blog posts!
I've had my operation, and I'm recovering well. Just a brand new learning experience.
I crafted last night, after returning home (from my parents house). I had a whole bunch of new stuff arrive while I was away, including a parcel from Annabelle Stamps, from my challenge win there recently! I chose to get another one of their addictive stamp sets, and ended up with this one in my cart... So, I inked her up for the Annabelle Stamps most recent challenge - Licorice and White
Here is my card -
I stamped and coloured the image, using the Ice Grey colours from my Spectrum Noir Makrers, and then fussy cut the chicky out. I embossed two pieces of white card stock, using a new addition (to my craft stash) the cloud embossing folder, from Stampin' Up! and mounted them on to black card. All my borders were doodled before embossing. Before adhering the layers together, I added a strip of black satin ribbon between them. I then added a diamond shape and my sentiment, which is from MFT. I finished it all off with three black rhinestones.
Here is the close up
I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches and the Annabelle Stamps Licorice and White challenge for inspiration
My MadeIt store is back open as well, so, pop on in and take a look :)

Stampin' Up! En Francais for an Anniversary card.

Hi guys! I have another quick post before I go to bed... I haven't done a card with no colouring for a while, so here it is -
It's really hard to photograph white on white cards.... :-/ I used a couple of different embossing folders on various layers to give some dimension and texture... maybe this photo shows it better -
The sentiment is computer generated, because I don't have any Anniversary stamps in my collection! I cut out the hearts using patterned paper from Echo Park, and the doily from my stash. There is a little bit of ribbon behind the circle, but it is hard to see too...
I used inspiration from a couple of sources for this one, first up was the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger, I was inspired by the delightful white on white with just a touch of colour, as well as the stool (which I have represented with my gold background stamping), as well as the base boards, which I have tried to replicate with my embossing on the bottom portion of the card. I was also inspired by the Mojo Monday sketch this week.
Thanks for popping around, I'll be back sometime later to share a circle card I made, with my markers getting another workout!

Spectrum Noir Markers in Monochrome and Sarah Kay Stamps

I stamped my Sarah Kay Picnic of Daisies in Memento Black Ink  and coloured her up using all 6 of the colours from the Cool Greys Marker Pack. The great thing I found with these markers is you can start with either the lightest or darkest colour and are able to blend them together by going back over them with the lightest marker (I don't know if that made any sense... hehe) I fussy cut her out at then attached her to a vanilla Spellbinders Label 10 which I had pierced around the edges using a needle. I then set to making my card, I started with a Grey card base and layered it up with some divine patterned paper from Cosmo Cricket, Baby Jane paper pad. I stitched all around the edges, added a strip of silver/grey grosgrain ribbon, then with my hot glue gun, attached three paper flowers and a yellow button. I finished off this card without a sentiment, but added three little mint green rhinestones to balance it all out :)
This card fits the requirements of this months challenge, yellow, grosgrain ribbon and buttons -

The Greeting Farm - Tank For a monochromatic Boys Birthday

Hi guys! I hope you all had a fabulous Mothers day! I spent the weekend at my mum's house, and had stamp club on Sunday :) Apart from that, there wasn't a lot of crafting done, so when I got home, it was time to get inky! Here is my effort this afternoon -
I started by colouring Tank (by The Greeting Farm) using my Basic Grey Marker and blender pen, with some very subtle highlighting in Basic Black, and fussy cut him out... I picked out this glossy patterned paper from Kaisercraft On the Move patterned paper stack, and cut it to be a 1/4 of an inch smaller than my card base. I then flipped it over and drew a curve using a pencil, and followed the curve using my sharp scissors. I attached it to the card base, and drew a border using my Black Stampin' Write Marker and the sentiment from Grunge Rock (Stampin' Up!) I layered some black bakers twine over the patterned paper as well as some buttons and then popped Tank up on dimensionals....
I used inspiration from iSpySketches and also from the Splendid Stamping monochrome challenge.

Thanks for dropping around :)

Stampin' Up! So Happy For You and I create a Monochromatic Birthday Card

Hi! I have spent the last few hours in my craft room water colouring... I find it is such a relaxing past time, now that I'm getting my head around using the Stampin' Write Markers as watercolour markers.... Here is one of the images I have coloured and made into a card...
This little cutie is from My Favourite Things and it was great fun colouring her in... I don't know why I chose greens, but any way... The Stampin' Write Markers I have used are: Blush Blossom, Chocolate Chip, Crumbcake, Basic Black, Old Olive, Wild Wasabi and Certainly Celery. I have cut her out and mounted her on Very Vanilla cardstock with a piece of Certainly Celery shaped using my Scallop Border punch and a piece of Wild Wasabi Ribbon (this one is retired now) I have mounted the image panel onto some Wild Wasabi Card and before attaching it to my card base, I stamped the sentiment from So Happy For You, a retired Sale-a-bration set in Wild Wasabi.
I am entering this into three challenges, the first is the Less is More challenge, to use Ribbon or Buttons on a CAS card, the second is the Jac-inks Monochrome Challenge and the Card Patterns Sketch (below)
Well, it's almost 2am here, so I'm calling it a night....
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! I {Heart} Hearts is perfect for Monochromatic Friendship Cards

I have been in the craft room a while today (I have a stockpile of cards to show you) but, these two I thought I'd post together, they are from the same stamp set, and colours, so why not hey?

Ok... So, these are made using the I Heart Hearts stamp set, from Stampin' Up! I was given this set from a good friend, and love using it because of this. I have a used monochromatic colour scheme for both, using Real Red and Poppy Parade with Whisper White. The first card was made using masking, and is a one layer card, with a sentiment from Well Scripted (which is retired *sad face*) The second, I have used my circle scissors to cut a circle and mounted it using mounting tape, the hearts have been stamped and fussy cut out to "pop" them. I have used a Real Red ribbon and a retired button.
I am entering both cards into Less Is More Monochromatic Challenge and just the second card into Hand Stamped Sentiments which is Paper Piecing.
I also wanted to share with my blog readers that my sister has had her baby, almost a week ago now. She had a very healthy little girl on Sunday last week. They named her Brianna Regina, and she is absolutely gorgeous!
This is Brianna with her older brother Samuel and their "Grumpy" which is what they call my dad, their grandpa. She weighed in at 8lb 9oz.
Anyway, I'm sure I'll be back again tomorrow, to share some of the other cards I have been making, until then, Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Elegant Lines and Beautiful Wings with the Bigshot makes cards easy!

Hi guys! Hope all you mums out there have had awesome Mother's Day, both here and in the States. I spent mothers day with my mum. We crafted, it really was win win! We both decided we were going to make white on white cards for the Less is More challenge blog. Here is my version

I used Whisper White cardstock and some vellum in this card. This came together quickly and easily, because I used the Big Shot! which my mum got for Christmas last year. Mum has the Elegant Lines embossing folder, which I didn't like in the catalogue, but after using it, find it easy and fun to work with. I also used the Beautiful Wings Embossolit for the Big Shot, which cuts and embosses all in one! At the bottom of this card, I have added a strip of non Stampin' Up! lace which just finished this card off perfectly. Head on over to my mum's blog to see her 3 (!!) uploads to the white on white challenge!

Stampin' Up! Curly Cute paired with Hope & Strength makes cute Thank You Cards

I've had quite a productive day today, not only making up 2 cards, but getting a good portion of uni work done... I headed back into the craft room this evening, and whipped this up
Anyway, this was made using the Strength & Hope stamp set from the Autumn/Winter mini catalogue, and also the Curly Cute sentiment set. I have stamped the swirl in Pear Pizzazz and then stamped it a second time without re-inking it. I have then stamped the Thank You in Old Olive. I have paired this with Old Olive Designer Series Paper (Brights Stack) and rounded the corners. I added a bow made out of Very Vanilla grosgrain ribbon.
This card is actually being entered into 3 challenges (a lot for me...) the first one being the Clean and Simple stamping card sketch, the brand new CAS-ual Friday Challenge blogs Texting Skills and the Less is More Thank You or Congratulations challenge.
Happy Stampin!

Just Add Monochrome

I'm absolutely loving white on white cards at the moment, so, when I saw that the newest Just Add Ink challenge was to just add monochrome, I knew exactly what colour I was going to reach for! I made this card the other night, instead of sleeping... a very stupid move as I had to be up at 630am for a 10hr work day.... but, I love how it turned out, and while the work day was long, it was over quick enough to come home to a roast that my awesome house mate had made!
Now, on to the card!
See those flowers? They were originally pink and blue! I just got out some white paint and painted over them until they were white.... I finally got my sewing machine working enough for this card to have the very wonky stitched border!

Wedding/Valentines Card

Like I said last night, I have another card to show you from the Mojo Monday Sketch! I am also entering this card into two other challenges, the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger, and Simon Says Stamp New Beginnings challenge.
Now, the card I have made could be used for a wedding card, or for a Valentines Day card.
This card came together so easily, I love the monochromatic look. The heart and sentiment were embossed in silver. The thin panel at the back was embossed with clear embossing powder, and the square panel with my BigShot and Polka Dots embossing folder.
