The Greeting Farm - Just because I care

Hi guys, I had a massive surge of inspiration last night (woohoo!) which meant I got two cards made for my stores (links in sidebar)
This is the first of my two cards
For this one, I dug out one of my favourite Anyas - Cuddle Anya, coloured her up with my Spectrum Noir Markers, and cut her out. I used patterned papers from My Minds Eye and a no-name paper pad I bought at a discount store! I doodled around the edges, and mounted it to a grey card base. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up. I added some pearls, which I coloured with my Spectrum Marker to match

The Greeting Farm - Matilda

Hello Again! This is the last of my 'prepared' cards... I have a couple of images coloured, sitting patiently to make it onto cards... hopefully tonight and tomorrow!
This is Matilda... She has been stamped and coloured using my Spectrum Noir Markers (of course) and I have sat her on some patterned paper from My Minds Eye and layered some die cut (MFT die-namics) leaves at her feet. I have then attached all the layers to a Crumbcake (Kraft) base and done some doodling around the papers and card to add a little interest. The sentiment is one of my favourites from Stampin' Up!
Pretty basic card, I am entering it into the Retro Fresh Challenge at Splendid Stamping and the Splitcoast Stampers TGF sketch

Thanks for popping by!

Some Odd Girl - Sweet Thinkin' Mae

Hi Guys! Another card I made last week that I have to share. But first, have a gorgeous picture of my niece, who we celebrated her first birthday yesterday - she is giving a blow up giraffe a kiss and wearing the owl hat that I got her for her birthday present *SO CUTE!*
Anyway, on with the card.... I have a Sweet Thinkin' Mae card to share with you today!
I stamped the Mae stamp on watercolour paper and also on to some Echo Park - For the Record patterned paper for her bow and dress which I fussy cut and stuck onto the watercolour paper. I coloured her up using my markers and fussy cut her out. I used a black card base, layered up with some white card stock, which I stamped with the Lawn Fawn Chevron Backdrops in black ink (on my biggest acrylic stamp block, I have gotten a black permanent marker and a ruler and drawn straight lines along it 1cm apart to line up pesky stamps like this one, and make stamping straight easier!) and then layered it up with some Satin Single Frill black ribbon. I attached Mae using a whole bunch of Foam mounting tape, I then stamped my sentiment in black Memento ink and added some tiny red rhinestones to finish it off!
Thanks for joining us here, and don't forget you've still got a couple of days to play with our challenge spots this month!

The Greeting Farm - Just for You

Hi guys! I was on a bit of a crafty roll yesterday, I managed to get three (!) cards made. But, because I'm not sure when I'll be crafting next I'm going to schedule the posts on my blog for the next few days.... So, keep an eye out :) Here is one of the cards I made last night
I actually made up this card base for something else, and didn't particularly like it with the image I'd coloured, so I had it sitting on my desk ready for another image.... The patterned paper is from Echo Park ("This & That - Charming") and Bo Bunny. The ribbon is some from my stash, it is White satin ribbon and Olive scallop dots. The card base is Stampin' Up! Old Olive. I cut a nesties shape out of white card, stamped a sentiment from a retired SU! set  - The Best is yet to Be, and then stamped this cute little guy from The Greeting Farm (Just for You) onto watercolour paper and coloured him in to match the patterned papers. I think he turned out really well. I then fussy cut him out and popped him on a bunch of dimensionals.
I am entering this card into the Anyone For Anya? Sketch challenge this week. It was pure luck that I had popped the papers on the card this way from my previous attempt at a card... :-P
Thanks for popping by!

Stampin' Up! The Best is Yet to Be and I create a Retro Birthday Card

Hi guys! I made this card the other day, but couldn't post it (as much as I wanted to) until after it was released on the ICSketches challenge blog....
I used a Confetti White card base for this one, as well as some Peachy Keen (Kaisercraft) Patterned papers, which I cut and distressed using my Stampin' Up! Distressing Essentials Kit. I then got to colouring this Some Odd Girl stamp... I knew I wanted her to stand out, and not blend into the colourful background, so I decided she needed to be black and white... then came the fun of colouring and shading using one colour... It wasn't as difficult as it sounds. I used my Basic Grey Stampin' Write Marker and a blender pen, then in the parts I wanted darkest, I used the fine end of my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker. I added 3 tiny little black pearls to her barette in her hair. The sentiment is stamped on Whisper White, and it is from the retired hostess set The Best is Yet to Be, I layered it on a scalloped circle and added some black satin ribbon to finish off this card.
This card was inspired by the sketch at ICSketches, and by Annmaree, who showed some lovely cards using this paper as well :) Oh, as a heads up, because I have a serious back log of cards to move (over 150!) I have created a MadeIt page. There will be stock reaching there periodically, with a big sale over on my closing Facebook Page

Thanks for popping by!

Stampin' Up! Contempo Christmas, French Foliage and The Best is Yet to Be combined to make a Christmas Card

Hi guys! It's been a super busy week, as work has asked me to come in 4 days a week instead of my usual 2, and on the midweek break that I usually have, I had stamp club, so all craft had been put on hold... I got into the craft room last night though, and made up this card
I have used a Crumbcake (Kraft) base, which has a piece of Not Quite Navy card stock, which I have run through the Big Shot using a new embossing folder (for me anyway), called Stripes. I then got a piece of Vanilla card stock which I have stamped the little leaf from French Foliage in Old Olive, and then stamped the ornament from Contempo Christmas in Not Quite Navy and Rich Razzleberry. I then drew a border using my black Stampin' Write Marker and a ruler. The sentiment is from The Best is Yet to Be, and has been stamped in Rich Razzleberry. I mounted it to a scallop circle of Old Olive, and punched some tiny holes in the petals.
I am entering this into two challenges, the first is the Freshly Made Sketches challenge, and then into the Embellish Magazine colour challenge, which also must use Leaves
Thanks for dropping around!
Don't forget, that my Blog Candy finishes on Thursday!

Stampin' Up! Snow Swirled and I create an Elegant Christmas Card

Hi guys, I'm back again with a Christmas Card to show you :)
This is a Basic Grey card base which has been layered with Island Indigo and piece of foil patterned paper from KaiserCraft. I then stamped the tree image from Snow Swirled on to a piece of white card in Island Indigo, and popped some rhinestones on top. The ribbon is actually Stampin' Up!'s Very Vanilla Seam Binding which I coloured using a little bit of silver Smooch Spritz. The sentiment is from the retired hostess set, The Best is Yet to Be.
I am entering this into two challenges, the first is the Freshly Made Sketches challenge. I have to be honest, I don't quite understand what they mean by clean cards, but no one has said anything about my cards not fitting the bill, so I'll continue to enter... If someone could clarify, that'd be awesome :) The second challenge I'm entering this into is the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger, I used the colours as inspiration, as well as the damask pattern on the dress...
Well, that's all from me... Now, it's bed time...
Good night, and Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Awash with Flowers and I create a Just for You, all occasions card

Hi all! At the moment, I'm trying very hard to get used to this new blogger format, and it is very difficult! I'm not sure I like it, but it is change after all! I have crafted tonight, so I do have a card to show you, not just my ramblings :)
Ok, so fairly basic here... a Basic Grey 4.25" Square card which I have layered Rich Razzleberry onto. For the main image panel, I have randomly stamped images from Awash with Flowers in Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry with outlines in Basic Grey. I mounted the image panel on top of the Rich Razzleberry layer and then stamped a sentiment from The Best is Yet to Come (a retired hostess sentiment set) in Basic Grey, cut it out using my circle punch and layered it on an Old Olive Scallop Circle. I added a piece of retired Kiwi Kiss ribbon (I don't have any Olive ribbon!) to finish of this card.
I am entering this into 2 challenges tonight, the first is The Paper Players colour challenge, which was surprisingly easy for me, usually I struggle a bit with purples :) The second challenge is the new challenge blog Freshly Made Sketches which has a sketch this week
As always, thanks for dropping in, it makes my day seeing all the lovely comments you guys leave me :)
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! The Best is Yet to Be (retired) and I create Baby Cards

Evening... I wanted to say a big "Hello and Welcome" to my new followers, it is such a nice surprise to see that number moving, and moving quite a bit lately... I find it such a thrill still that people visit my blog, and are interested in what I'm doing... So, thank you to all my followers I can see and also to those I know follow me via an email subscription.... Today Mark bought me a craft magazine, it had 6 free acrylic stamps with it, so when I got home, I had to play!
To start with, I stamped this little giraffe and embossed him in black. (Anyone that knows me well, knows I love giraffes... it's only a small obsession...) I then coloured him using my Stampin' Write Markers in So Saffron and More Mustard, he is holding flowers and I have coloured those in Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery. I have cut him out of the water colour paper and stuck him on to a piece of Very Vanilla, then with my Blender Pen and Basic Grey ink I created a shadow for him. As I had my Basic Grey out, I stamped a sentiment, which is from the retired hostess set The Best is Yet to Be. I used a piece of Crumbcake Cardstock for the base, and layered it with some patterned paper from My Minds Eye, I then embossed a piece of Peach Parfait using the big shot and stuck it down. A piece of Sahara Sand which has been cut with the scallop border punch and a piece of Daffodil Delight ribbon finishes this off.
I am entering this into two sketch challenges, which seemed eerily familiar... The first is the Inkspirations Challenge, and also the There She Goes Sketch Challenge
Thanks for stopping by, as always, it is much appreciated.
Until next time, Happy Stamping!

Curtain Call Colour Challenge

Back again,
Mark has gone to work, and I'm home alone, bored... the house could do with a tidy, but that seems like a little too much like work... So, it didn't get done, instead, I've spent the day procrastinating! One of my procrastination methods is card making, so even though I really didn't feel like sitting and crafting (cause it's a bit of a mess too...) I did....
This card fulfils the Curtain Call Colour challenge, which you can see below....
I love the Stampin' Up! Designer series papers, that match with the colour groups! I bought the Brights collection at my last stamp club... and I honestly don't know how I survived without them before! They may seem expensive at $37.95 for a pack of patterned paper, but, you do get 40 sheets, which brings them down to 95c a piece! Very reasonable I think, as it co-ordinates perfectly with everything else SU! If you'd like to order some designer series paper, or anything else send me an email to jessidee86@gmail.com, or call me on 0405173237.
Thanks, and Happy Stamping!

Happy Valentines Day!

Hi all! Happy Valentines Day!
Here is a rose for you all! :D
I made it using this tutorial that I found online... it looks a lot more in depth than it actually is! It's just another reason to get your hands on the Stampin' Up! Owl punch!
Anyway, I had a good day yesterday with papercrafting. My house mate and I couldn't decide what we wanted to do (we usually do something every Sunday) So, we stayed at home, and I spent a lot of time in my craft room. I made the rose, I made this card, and then after dinner, I asked Mark to pick four colours for me.... he picked Concord Crush, Tempting Turquoise, Real Red and Basic Grey... (talk about an eye for colour!) I paired 'his' colours with the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge
And, here is my card!

I love this colour combination.... and wasn't originally going to use "Bliss" but, it kept calling to me.... I love it!
Anyway, have an awesome Valentines Day with your special someone..... Or, if you're single like me, treat yourself to something nice, make you feel good about you today!
Happy Stamping!

Stamping Vacation - All Designer Papers

Hi all, just a quick post before I have to go to work!
This is a challenge card for Stamping Vacation, which was to create a card using only designer papers, except for the base of the card. This is what I came up with... I used all designer papers, from various places... they are mainly scraps from this project I did the other day! Even the sentiment circle is a designer paper, a piece of Basic Grey, the back of one of their Christmas Papers, it has a weathered look to it.... I made this for my house mate, to remind him how much I appreciate him....

Congratulations Card

This evening, my little sister found out that she will be heading into university this year, to study a bachelor of arts, so, to help celebrate, I made this card for her
It is pretty much a direct case of a card that I found here. I love my owl punch, but it I find I don't have the patience some people have for piecing together 101 small punched shapes... I loved the penguin as soon as I saw it, as Bec "Hi Bec" loves penguins... she has a whole room full of the things...
I am also entering this into 2 challenges tonight, the first being the Simon Says Stamp Bingo challenge, which was to pick 3 techniques/items on the list... I used Punches/Diecuts, Wet and Dry Embossing and Ribbon.
The other challenge I'm entering this into is the Stampin' Royalty Anything with Wings Challenge.
I'm going to pop this in the mail tomorrow, so hopefully she receives it before the weekend!
Congratulations again lil one :-)

Another UStamp Project!

I'm back again with another UStamp project! This one I've been looking at for a few days... trying to figure out what I want to do with it... Not that the project Tammy created wasn't beautiful, unfortunately the stamp set she used has not been released in Australia yet.... *sad face*
Anyway, unbelievably, this entire project came out of one 12x12 piece of cardstock! Unfortunately, I cannot show you how on my blog, but go join UStamp, if only for this wonderful project!

Something else that is awesome is this Colour Coach online that I found today! I used one of their suggestions to create my colour palette for this project... Go, have a play and find an awesome colour combo!
