The Greeting Farm Just for You and I create a Boys Birthday Card

Hi guys! I had some time last night to create, so I headed into my craft room armed with a bunch of challenges.... This is what I came out with.
This is a Tempting Turquoise card base, layered with Confetti White and patterned paper from Stampin' Up!'s Brights collection Paper Stack. On top of that is another piece of Confetti White, which I ran through the Big Shot with an embossing folder to create big polka dots. I then added some gorgeous seam binding ribbon from the Ribbon Carousel store and tied a bow. I cut out two nesting labels and stamped my sentiment, which is from Stampin' Up! in Tempting Turquoise ink. This lil guy is another from The Greeting Farm, (I have an ever expanding collection) and is from the Just for You set, I've coloured him with my Stampin' Write Markers and blender pens.
I am entering this into four challenges, the first is the "Case Study" over at the TGF Farm Fresh Challenge blog, which was to case the below card. Next up is the Anyone For Anya? inspiration challenge, I took my inspiration from all the blue in the picture. And finally, I'm entering this little card into 2 Anything Goes challenges, the Ribbon Carousel and Simon Says Stamp.
Thanks for popping by! Don't forget, I do have Blog Candy up for grabs here, and also, there is a 15% off all cards for sale at my MadeIt Store.

Stampin' Up! I heart Hearts and I create a bright, fun Valentines Day Card

Hi guys, I'm on a bit of a Valentines Day kick at the moment, trying to get more stock in to my MadeIt store, as cards for Valentines Day are moving quickly! So, another card to share with you :)
This is a Pacific Point card base, which I have layered with Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo cardstock/patterned paper. I have also cut a border from Pacific Point, and layered it on top of the Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight. I have the cut some Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon and tied a triple bow. The main image panel is mounted on Melon Mambo, and has three hearts stamped onto it, and then the Lucky Limeade one is popped using dimensionals. The sentiment is from My Favourite Things. I added three little rhinestones to finish off this card :)
I am entering this into 3 challenges, the first is Ribbon Carousel Non-Traditional colours challenge, next is the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches, which I have turned on it's end, and I'm also entering this into the Simon Says Stamp and Show Stamp a Song Title. I chose Lindsey Ray's You Make Me Happy it's not quite my sentiment, but just....

Stampin' Up! Shimmer Paint Scrapbooking with Bonus Sketch!

Hi guys! Sorry it has been a few days, I have spent the last week cramming as much as possible for my final exam for the year... But, I do have a scrapbook page to share that I snuck into do last night before my brain turned completely to mush!
This is page is fairly basic, as I waned the beautiful surrounds to be the stars... I have used a Crumbcake (Kraft) 12x12 base, and layered it with some Pacific Point card and then stuck down my photos. I added my title, which is the place name Wangi Wangi which is pronounced Won Gee Won Gee. I added a leaf chipboard shape, which I painted using Stampin' Up!'s Shimmer Paint and a touch of Bashful Blue... Only after it dried did I notice that it looks a bit similar to a silver fern, which reminds me of New Zealand... ah well! Here are some close ups for you!
This photo is just to show where I've hidden my journalling (and terrible hand writing). It is a Kraft Tag and the rounded tag punch from Stampin' Up! in Bashful Blue
And a quick close up of the title and embellishments...
I am entering this into the Kraft It Up Journalling challenge, I hope to do a bit more scrapping soon, I've got a whole bunch of new embellishments on the way!
I have also added a copy of the layout sketch, you can find more by clicking the tab above titled 'Scrapbook Sketches' I'd love to see layouts made using them :)
Don't forget my Blog Candy!
Thanks for dropping by!

Stampin' Up! Grunge Rock, and Extreme Elements make a teenage birthday card

Today has been an epically long day... I had to go to work this morning, and open the shop, which meant being there by 4am (yup, 4am exists as a time....), so after getting home and napping, I had most of the day free... So, I made a couple of cards to share with you. Here's the first :)
Ok, so this is a Basic Grey card base, which I have layered with Real Red (which was run through the Big Shot with the Polka Dot embossing folder) I then stamped two scrap pieces of Basic Grey using the diamonds from Grunge Rock, and glued them in place. I then turned my attention to my main image panel. I have used stamps from Extreme Elements and Grunge Rock, in Real Red, Lucky Limeade, Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight and Basic Grey. The Guitar has been popped on dimensionals. I layered this panel on another piece of Basic Grey and then glued it to my embossed piece. I wrapped a piece of Real Red ribbon around the card and popped on a retired Basic Grey Corduroy button to finish it off.
I am entering this into the Stamping 411 sketch challenge which closes soon, so head over and have a go...
Thanks for dropping by!
Happy Stamping! :)

Stampin' Up! Sweet Buttons Embossolit and I create a fun note card

I have jumped back into my clean and simple cards this evening, this idea has been floating in my head since late last night....
This is a fairly basic card, it consists of a Basic Black base with Whisper White layered on top, I started by stamping the sentiment which is a cute one from KaiserCraft, then I drew a border using my Black Stampin' Write Marker... Then the Bigshot came into its own... I had a bunch of scraps in my scrap drawers and I ran each colour (Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, Pacific Point, Rich Razzleberry, and Regal Rose) through the Bigshot using the Sweet Buttons Embossolit... it cuts and embosses at the same time, and is only available until the 31st of July, when the Mini Catalogue ends...
I am entering this into two challenges, the first is the Less is More Circles challenge, and the second is the Colour Throwdown Rainbow Challenge.
I think that's all I needed to tell you this evening, so until next time...
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Just Believe and Silhouette Sentiments create lovely Thank You cards

Hi guys! I have a quick card to share with you today, before I pop it in the mail to go to a special someone!
For this card, I have used Confetti White cardstock (my new go to card) I have masked a strip using post it notes, then with some sponges and my Stampin' Up! Inks, I have created this background. The colours are layered lightest to darkest, starting with Bashful Blue, then Baja Breeze, Pacific Point and a little bit of Night of Navy. While the masks were still in place, I stamped the leaf image from Just Believe in Basic Black, stamping off some of the images to get a fuller shrub line.... Once I'd done that, I peeled off the masks and stamped the bird from the hostess set Silhouette Sentiments in Staz On Black for a deeper black (sounds weird I know) and then I stamped the sentiment below the image panel. The sentiment is one of the cute ones from Just Believe. Now, I am going to write in this card, address it, and send it on its way.
I am entering this in to two challenges, the first being Just Add Ink's Inspiration Challenge (see below) and the Less is More One Layer "Legs" Challenge.
I know I've seen a card out there very similar to this one, but silly me forgot to bookmark it, so if this is very similar to a card you have made, I apologise, but I can't find out who it was now that I was going to mention I cased this from.
Until next time,
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Pun Fun makes Childrens Cards Easy!

I've had a busy few days, and with Stamp Club coming up on Wednesday, it is set to be a good week! I have been struggling for a little while as my mojo seems to have deserted me, perhaps because it is so cold in my craft room compared to the rest of the house... I have borrowed a stamp set from my mum, and wanted to play with it a little more before returning it tomorrow... Here are some clean and simple cards for you
Ok, so this first one is using the cutest little rocket ever! It is from the Pun Fun stamp set, and is coloured using my Stampin' Write Markers in Pumpkin Pie, Pacific Point, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight and Sahara Sand. You probably can't see it in the picture, but the window has been glossed using Crystal Effects. For both cards, I have used the Confetti White card stock to add a little bit of interest.
This little hippo has to be my favourite stamp from Pun Fun, she looks so happy! I have coloured her again using my Stampin' Write Markers, in Sahara Sand, Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry. Her balloon has a small amount of Crystal Effects to make it shiny. I am entering this little hippo card in the Less is More One Layer "Legs" Challenge.
Have fun and Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Tree Trimmings and Shimmer Paint make very pretty Christmas Cards

Hi Guys! I run a stamp club on the Central Coast every second month, and next Wednesday is our next one. I really wanted to showcase a technique I learnt not that long ago. Faux Mother of Pearl, using Stampin' Up! Shimmer Paint. Also, I wanted one of the cards to be a Christmas in July card, to get my ladies starting to think about Christmas.... So, here is one of the cards we will be making at Stamp Club.
I have used a Whisper White base, then popped a piece of Baja Breeze through my Bigshot with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, once it was embossed, I rubbed a White Craft ink pad lightly over it, to highlight the embossing. The main image is Glossy White card which has had White Shimmer paint "splodged" (nice terminology?) on it. Once it was dry, I sponged some Baja Breeze on top, I didn't particularly like the colour, so went over it again with a light coat of Night of Navy sponging. I then stamped the ornaments from Tree Trimmings in Night of Navy and Pacific Point, drew their strings using a Black Stampin' Write Marker, and layered it onto the card base with some dimensionals. The sentiment is from Basic Phrases, stamped in Baja Breeze, cut out using the Modern Label punch and popped with more dimensionals.
I am entering this into The Paper Players Christmas in July Challenge, and hope the girls like this and the other cards we will be making :-)
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Pun Fun and I create a kid's easel card

I have finally got my craft room back into a working order! I had to pull it all apart to take a table to my mum and dad's combined 50th Birthday party... I popped in there tonight, and made 4 cards.... here is the first one.

Ok.... So, this is the first time I've ever successfully made an easel card! I have used Crumbcake for the base, and then added a piece of Real Red DSP (designer series paper) to the bottom part of the card. The main panel of the card is Pacific Point with the Classic Stars Jumbo Wheel stamped in VersaMark with clear/holographic embossing powder (non-Stampin' Up!) I have tied a piece of Daffodil Delight Ribbon, and then added the Rocket ship from Pun Fun, which I have watercoloured using my Stampin' Write Markers and an Aqua Painter. The sentiment is from Look Who's Turning and the yellow star is another Non- Stampin' Up! Product.
I really like how this turned out... I am entering it in to the Just Add Ink, Blog Hop....
Thanks for looking, I'll be back soon with more cards to share!

Stampin' Up! Awash with Flowers and I create a Thank You Card

Just a quick one before I head to bed....
This card was made tonight, purely because I was bit annoyed, and water colouring helps me deal with stress, I must admit, it is something I need to improve upon, as my technique isn't very good (read non-existent), so although it relieved the stress, I'm not overly happy with this card... I have used the 2 step stamping set Awash with Flowers, which comes with outlines and a solid stamp, but, for this, I have used only the out lines.  I coloured the images with my Aqua Painter and my Stampin' Up! ink pads, in Wild Wasabi, Pacific Point, Real Red and Rich Razzleberry. I have also used the Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper Stack in the Brights collection, which is a great buy at only $37.95 for 40 sheets, what's even better, is it matches with all the Stampin' Up! colours perfectly!
I am entering this into the Stampin' Royalty colour challenge,
I think I will have another play with these colours at a later date...
Thanks for stopping by, and as always,
Happy Stampin!

Stampin' Up! French Foliage and Top Note Die are awesome for Scrapbooking!

I had a very early work morning today, with my shift starting at 4am *yawn* but, I'm home now, and not quite tired enough to sleep just yet.... Maybe when all the caffeine wears off? Anyway, I wanted to create when I came home, so into the craft room (which is currently a mess!) I went
I love to scrapbook, but generally find I don't do it very often, as 12x12 layouts daunt me a little... all that empty space... So, I decided to try something a bit different, I went with an A4 sized layout, which isn't nearly as daunting! In this page, I have used a cute photo of my cat Toby, who is a little 'special', we picked him up from a rescue centre about this time last year. It took him a good 3 months to be okay with me in the same room as him, and still isn't a huge fan of me, or people in general. He adores Mark, and will happily go for a scratch. This was Toby about 6 months ago, chilling in a re-usable bag in the lounge room. He loves to be in things, he doesn't sleep on the bed, but in the bed, under the covers with his head on the pillow (he's a bit of a princess)
For this layout, I have taken my colours from the actual photo, using Crumbcake (Stampin' Up!'s version of Kraft), Pacific Point and Basic Grey. I have used my Bigshot to create a frame out of the off cuts from a Top Note diecut, I have then stamped and embossed the splatter in silver from French Foliage which is in the new Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue. On the Crumbcake, I have used some Smooch Spritz in silver, which is a carryover item from the Summer Mini Catalogue, once this was dry, I stamped the text image from French Foliage in Basic Grey. To carry the blue from the picture, I used the Decorative Label Punch with Pacific Point and used it for a  fancy edging on the frame. The bling is from a piece of Prima flourish (I trimmed them down), and the smattering of buttons are from my stash.
I am entering this into the Kraft It Up! challenge blog which this month is to create a layout, using Kraft and No Patterned Papers.
Thanks for dropping by, and as always,
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Picture This and I create quick Thank You notecards!

Last night before bed, I wanted to create one more project... I had exactly what I wanted to do in my mind.... So, at the ridiculous hour of 1am, I went into the craft room and whipped these up....
A note of appreciation

Thanks for owl you do
These use the Picture This hostess set which is now retired, but which I received a little while ago as blog candy. This is the first time I've gotten them inky too. I have used colours from the brights collection, with Real Red, Pacific Point and Daffodil Delight. I have used my Stampin' Write Markers to colour the sentiments in black, and then picking out the punny picture in the matching colour.... I have drawn a simple black border around the white card front to frame it. These cards are 4 inch square, and would make a wonderful little gift for someone special... I might just hold on to them for now, and see what happens... :-)
I am entering these in to the Less is More Lucky Dip challenge, which is for Thank You or Congratulations Cards. I will definitely be entering again, before the week is up, thoughts are already running about what I want to create :-) Head on over to the Less is More challenge blog, and check out some more Clean and Simple goodness!
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Sew Suite and I make Thank You Cards

Second Post for today! In my last post, I told you that the new Autumn/Winter Stampin' Up! Mini catalogue has just been released.... So, in this post I thought I'd show you something cute I made with one of my favourite stamp sets from the new mini!
This clean and simple little card is made with Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Peach Parfait and Pacific Point. I have actually gone through my button stash and sewn three little buttons on the 'button card' that is available in this set (which I love love love....) I have stamped the tape measure on the Melon Mambo, added a strip of Pacific Point, and some Peach Parfait ribbon.
I am entering this into the Less is More Sketch challenge, which was one I actually made two cards for, but forgot to take a photo of the second one... *sigh*....
If you love the look of this card, why not get your hands on the limited release Sew Suite stamp set from Stampin' Up!, Just shoot me an email to jessidee86@gmail.com or give me a call on 0405 173 237
Thanks, and Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! I {heart} hearts and I create Mothers Day Cards

And, I'm back.... I have had a fairly slow evening, after a day filled with crafting! ("Hello" to my Stampin' Up! Workshop ladies!) so, I spent some time back in the craft room.
This stamp set, I {heart} Hearts is a new acquisition for me, as it was a gift from a very dear friend and fellow Stampin' Up! demo, Sue Poile (go visit her blog, she is one hugely talented lady!) Anyway, I've been itching to use this set... so I went looking for a challenge to play along with, as I've had my head buried in the sand on the challenge front over the last week or so.... I found the Tuesday Trigger over at Moxie Fab World, and decided to play along... I loved the clean look of the white space, and the design on the right side in orange with a touch of blue, so I have translated that look on to my card. I used Stampin' Up! colours - Peach Parfait, and Pacific Point. I have stamped the Peach Parfait off once for the first heart, but left the second heart as full strength Peach Parfait. The touch of Pacific Point has also been stamped off once to create a slightly subdued blue...
I love how this turned out! Don't forget to check back in the morning to see the new mini autumn/winter catalogue!
Until then,
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Circle Circus makes fun Thank you cards

Hi all! Been super super busy over the last week, and although it has all been with craft stuff, it hasn't been anything solid, all stuff for the Newcastle Show, which is happening this weekend! (We'll be in stall 386, if you want to come visit!) I do have a card to show you, yep.... you guessed it, another one from when Kim and I crafted together...
The colours for this challenge were Real Red, Pacific Point, Early Espresso and Pear Pizzazz. I went for a fairly clean and simple look for this card, randomly scattered the circles on my white card stock, and added a sentiment. Click Here to see Kim's example
I loved this set, and it made it onto my ever growing wishlist *sigh*
Anyway, if you're in the area over the weekend, drop in and say HI!
Cheerio for now!
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Looks Who's Turning Birthday Card

Hi Again,
I sat down to craft last night, to re-do the Less is More Challenge. As, I wasn't entirely happy with my previous entry.... I tried something a little different
The challenge this week, over at Less is More, was to use three squares. I think I forget about making kids cards, as it is not something I personally need a lot of... so, they just don't happen... So, out came my Look Who's Turning set, and some bright colours! I like this entry a whole lot more than the previous attempt....
Thanks for looking, and Happy Stamping!

I'm not dead....

Hi Guys... I know it's been a while since I posted.... I did make a few cards the other night but then when I went to take a picture of them and find out my cameras batteries had died! I didn't worry too much about it... I will upload those pictures in the next few days! I've been incredibly mojoless lately, due to falling ill with the horrid summer flu! I have had the worst sore throat and headaches, so I've been spending a lot of time asleep on the mattress under the air conditioner, and being looked after by the worlds best house mate and most awesome best friend in the world (just saying....)
I am feeling much better today, so after coming home from work, I decided to have a craft play!

This is for the Mojo Monday Card sketch challenge, which I try to participate in weekly.... This was one that threw me a little bit... But in the end I decided on using my completely neglected Totally Tool set...
.
This second card is a just because card... just because I was sitting at my desk, and the supplies were there.... Can you tell how much I adore the Sale-a-bration Bliss set yet? Want to get this stamp set for free???? Thank check out this post to find out how :-)

Kraft it Up! Challenge

A new month means a new Kraft it Up Challenge! This is the one Scrapbooking challenge site I actually participate in monthly.... might have something to do with my obsession with Kraft cardstock?
This months challenge was to use orange, blue and black all on a Kraft base... I despise orange, but had this idea and ran with it... originally it was just going to use plain Kraft background, but then I decided to stamp some animals from the Fox and Friends stamp set with Crumbcake (Stampin' Up! version of Kraft) to give some interest. All elements, except for the title are Stampin' Up! and what I like most is they all co-ordinate perfectly... I've kept the black to a minimum, and gone with the blue and orange as the main focus points....
Isn't my Nephew the cutest? We think he is! Sam-Wow is a nickname for him, that came about because my sister was shopping and there was a ShamWow! Guy in the centre, my sister said "Hey, look shamwow SamWow!" and it's just kind of stuck.....

JAI 53 - Just Add Inspiration

The Just Add Ink challenge this week is just add inspiration from this picture
I love the colours in this! Yellow! One of my favourite colours at the moment. It is such a summery colour.... a happy colour! So, when I saw this challenge, the first thing I grabbed for was my new Echo Park patterned paper. It is a very pretty yellow.... This card is actually being sent out today for a wonderful friends birthday which is coming up....
I hadn't used my Take a Sip wheel in a while, so dug it out to play with... I water coloured the image using my stampin' write markers.

Congratulations Card

This evening, my little sister found out that she will be heading into university this year, to study a bachelor of arts, so, to help celebrate, I made this card for her
It is pretty much a direct case of a card that I found here. I love my owl punch, but it I find I don't have the patience some people have for piecing together 101 small punched shapes... I loved the penguin as soon as I saw it, as Bec "Hi Bec" loves penguins... she has a whole room full of the things...
I am also entering this into 2 challenges tonight, the first being the Simon Says Stamp Bingo challenge, which was to pick 3 techniques/items on the list... I used Punches/Diecuts, Wet and Dry Embossing and Ribbon.
The other challenge I'm entering this into is the Stampin' Royalty Anything with Wings Challenge.
I'm going to pop this in the mail tomorrow, so hopefully she receives it before the weekend!
Congratulations again lil one :-)
