The Greeting Farm - Digital Stamp Birthday Card

Hi ya! I'm back to share another little guys birthday card!
This one is in my store as well, as I seem to go through boys cards way quicker than any others!
The other week, I printed off a bunch of digital stamps, ready to colour up. This one, is from The Greeting Farm, I coloured him, using my Spectrum Noir Markers, and then cut it out, using a circle die in the Big Shot. I used patterned paper from October Afternoon (a really old collection), and some Baja Breeze, Limeade and Basic Gray card stock, from Stampin' Up! I embossed the blue, and green pieces and doodled around the edges of all of them... The sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie and I've added a paper clip and enamel dot.
Here's the close up

Stampin' Up! Friends Never Fade

Hiya! I have another card to share today, that doesn't feature my coloured people stamps!!! I'm trying to re-broaden my crafty horizons, and stretch myself a bit... So, here it is -
I started with a plain piece of Very Vanilla card, faintly drew a curving line, and stamped the flower images from Friends Never Fade, and the circle from Just Believe, in a range of inks - Baja Breeze, Certainly Celery, Wisteria Wonder and Rich Razzleberry. I then zig zag stitched around the edge, and embossed another piece of Vanilla, and attached it. The main image panel is the "sentiment stamp" from Friends Never Fade, and I have cut around it. To finish off the card, I used a bit of stickles on the main image panel, the last Razzleberry flower on the right and the first Wisteria flower on the left.
Here is a close up -
I was inspired by the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger, and took the colours, texture, stitching and theme of flowers/circles. The Tuesday Morning Sketches had me thrown for a bit, but I think I've made it work, with a rotation... And, to top it all off, I'm popping this into the Anything Goes Linky at Simon Says Stamp
I have popped a few cards into my Madeit Store, as well as keeping everyone updated on my Facebook Page (check to see if you're the giveaway winner!)

NEW My Favourite Things - PI Giraffe Girl!

Hi guys! Just a fairly quick post from me this evening.... I got happy mail the other day from The Stamp Spot, gotta love happy mail! It included a must have for me... Giraffe Girl from My Favourite Things... If you've been following me for a while, you would probably know I have a massive obsession with Giraffes... I have a pretty big collection of giraffes, so when I saw this stamp.... It had to be added to that collection!
I stamped and coloured her up using my Spectrum Noirs (are you sick of hearing about how much I love these yet?)  I paper pieced her top (because MFT stamps are easy to paper piece) and then made up my card. I used a Baja Breeze card base, cut at 5.75" square and then layered it up with this fabric looking paper from Fancy Pants. My middle skewed panel is Baja Breeze Designer Series Paper (retired from SU!) The Label and Circle were cut using my big shot and nesting dies and then I stamped my sentiment, which is part of the Giraffe Girl set and added a few rhinestones and paper flowers. It all looked a bit incomplete, so I added some doodling around the edges and love how it turned out with that finishing touch!
This one is being entered into the Splitcoast Stampers MFT sketch challenge I was a bit thrown at first by the square at an angle, but now love the sketch! Funny how that happens!

Balloon Kaylee for a cute, bright birthday card

So, I was on a bit of a crafting buzz last night, as I want to use all my 'scrap' patterned paper, and I spied the iSpy Sketches challenge and thought it'd work perfectly for using some scraps...
I had picked out this patterned paper, from Echo Park to play with. I loved the colours on it, and decided to colour up Balloon Kaylee to match. I used my Stampin' Write markers and a blender pen. When she was completely dry, I went over her balloon using my VersaMarker and put clear embossing powder with holograhic glitter over the top, and heat set it. I layered up my patterned paper and some Baja Breeze card stock and stuck them on to my card base. I stamped my sentiment, and then cut a nestabilities shape for Kaylee to sit on.
I am entering this into the iSpy Sketches challenge which can be seen below or at the link.
Thanks for popping by!

Some Odd Girl - Tweet Kaylee for a Hello Card.

Hi again!
Yesterday, I went into work early, so I was home by midday (wooh!) and after napping, decided I really needed to craft.... So, I printed out a digi image that has been in my stash a while and coloured her up -
This is Tweet Kaylee, and she was printed directly on to my watercolour paper. I then used my Stampin' Write Markers to colour her in, being careful to avoid the printer ink (it will smudge.) I then fussy cut her out and set her aside to create the rest of my card. The base is White card, layered up with bright yellow paper from Echo Park and some retired patterned paper from Stampin' Up. I then tied a big bow using Ivory Horizontal Stripe ribbon from Ribbon Carousel  *swoon* and stamped my sentiment "hello" using my Basic Black Marker. I added some red rhinestones to finish off the panel and popped Kaylee up on a whole bunch of dimensionals!
I am entering this into three challenges (cause I needed a lot of help with this one) the first is the Ribbon Carousel Sketch which I have edited slightly to fit my image, next up is the colour challenge for The Paper Players and last but not least is the Bright Colours challenge over at Some Odd Girl.

Kaisercraft Butterfly stamps and Patterned paper on a Blank Card

Hello! Day 2 of my 4 days off of work, and I had a quiet one at home, with watching movies and lazing around... I got into the craft room this evening, and created, although, I'm not overly happy with the results, I think my mojo has gone walkies... So will be getting out of the house tomorrow, and clearing my head
This is a Baja Breeze card base, layered with Lucky Limeade and some patterned paper by Kaisercraft. I cut out the circles using my Big Shot and layered them in Basic Gray and White. I stamped, and coloured my butterflies, the first two in Gray and the final one with Baja Breeze, which I covered in sparkly holographic embossing powder to make it 'pop' I added a strip of Celery Grosgrain Ribbon and tied a bow.
I am entering this into three challenges, the first is the sketch from iSpy Sketches, next up is the colour combo from The Play Date Cafe, and finally, the Ribbon Carousel Spring Challenge.
Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to head on over to Feeling Sketchy and join in with our first ever sketch, you have until 6am (AEST) Monday to enter!

The Greeting Farm - Birthday Ian and I create a birthday card for a little boy.

Hi Guys! Another quick post to show you a card I made as a reward for getting through some studying today. I also have some exciting news, I was picked as the "Cream in the Coffee" again, last week for the Play Date Cafe with this card. I was also picked as one of the top three over at Anyone for Anya? with this Masculine Card. I always get a wonderful feeling being recognised for my cards :) Anyway, on to todays card
This is a Baja Breeze card base, which has been lightly sponged, then I have layered Pear Pizzazz card stock and some white cardstock. The squares were cut out of various scraps in my collection and glued down. The ribbon is one I bought a while ago, but don't remember where I got it from. I stamped the Birthday Ian in Staz On and coloured him with my Stampin' Write Markers (pic of colours below). I then fussy cut him out, and attached him using dimensionals. The sentiment is from Grunge Rock and the two is from Timeless Type.
I am entering this into three challenges, the first is the Freshly Made Sketches challenge, which I'm just scraping in with. Next up is The Play Date Cafe colour challenge, which I felt leant itself to a card for a little boy... And, the TGF Farm Fresh Challenge, Anything Goes
Thanks for popping by! If you'd like any more info about my card, leave me a comment :)

The Greeting Farm New Parents and Stampin' Up! Sincere Salutations and I create a Birthday Card

Hi guys! I'm back again today to show you a card that I made up :)
I used a Basic Gray card base and layered it with Calypso Coral and some patterned paper from KaiserCraft
and some twine with a random button from my stash. The Lil guy is the dad from The Greeting Farm's New Parents stamp set, and has been coloured using my Stampin' Write Markers on watercolour paper. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up!'s Sincere Salutations and has been stamped in VersaMark and heat embossed using white embossing powder. The Brads are from Stampin' Up!'s Sale-a-bration freebies :)
I am entering this into two challenges, the first is the Colour Q challenge, which included the retired colour Dusty Durango, which is a colour I don't have so, I tried matching it with the closest that is a current colour.... Next up is the Cardabilities Sketch, which I have put a bit of a spin on.
Thanks for popping by!

Stampin' Up! Friendly Phrases and I create a just because card.

Hi guys! I'm back again with another card... At the moment, I'm trying to use more patterned papers on my cards, I have a whole bunch of the 6" x 6" paper pads from various companies, so I figured I should start using them! I also need to keep using the ribbons I've got, as I have a slight obsession in buying new ribbon from The Ribbon Carousel! Anyway, on to my card!
I've used a Baja Breeze card base, layered it with Confetti White card and a piece of Daffodil Delight (with a littl punched border of Baja Breeze) The patterned paper on this card is from My Minds Eye and I've cut it into one and a half inch squares, the spent ages lining them all up and glued them down. Before attaching the Daffodil Piece to the Confetti White piece, I added some Stampin' Up! Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon and tied a bow. The sentiment (from Friendly Phrases, Stampin' Up!) is stamped in Night of Navy, and is set off with 3 blue rhinestones.
I am entering this into the CardPatterns sketch challenge.
Thanks for dropping by!

Stampin' Up! Lattice embossing folder and I create a Wintery Christmas Card

Hi! I'm back again... I know I keep going AWOL, but I haven't been idle, I've been preparing card stock and cards from my Stamp Club which meets on Wednesday :) I also made this card, just because...
This is a Marina Mist card base, which is layered with a piece of Basic Grey which I ran through the Big Shot, using Stampin' Up!'s Lattice Embossing Folder. I then got three pieces of Whisper White, and brayered one piece using Bashful Blue, Baja Breeze and Marina Mist. I then stamped some trees from SEI set WinterSong and some deer from the same set, using Basic Grey ink. I sponged a little bit of Basic Grey underneath the deer to ground them, and stamped a sentiment from SEI in Basic Grey, and attached all three panels on to the card base.
I am entering this into the Freshly Made Sketches challenge. I am also entering this into LaurensGlitzyB Blog Candy, to show your style... this card is totally my style, clean, crisp and simple :)
Don't forget, if you haven't already entered my Blog Candy, you have 11 days left to enter :)

Stampin' Up! Upsy Daisy and I create a Vintage Thank You Card

Ok, so I'm not really a vintage card maker, it has something to do with the fact that I like my cards to have nice clean lines and not overly embellished.... but, I made one that I'm quite happy with :)
This is a Soft Suede card base, which has been sponged around the edges, I have added a strip of Daffodil Delight Pattern Stack Designer Series Paper which was also sponged with Soft Suede to tone it down a bit... I then focused on my main image panel, which has been embossed and sponged, using the Emboss Resist technique, which has come back into fashion :) I used the Upsy Daisy silhouette and sponged it in Peach Parfait, Daffodil Delight, and Soft Suede. The text stamp is from my stash, and I thought it worked well with the vintage theme I was going for. I stamped my sentiment, using my Stampin' Write Markers to selectively stamp only half the sentiment, from Upsy Daisy. I attached a little bit of vintage vanilla lace, and a button to finish this card off.
I am entering this one into two challenges, the first is the sketch challenge over at The Sweetest Thing, and secondly to a new one for me, Simply Stampin'  Challenge, which was the colourse Peach Parfait, Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla
I also have another card to show you in this post, one that has Stampin' Up! card stock, but the rest from other companies on it...
This is a Whisper White card base, which I have layered with Baja Breeze and Crumbcake. The teddy is my favourite, he is a Tatty Teddy stamp I bought a while ago, but this is the first time he's made it onto a card! The wording is from one of my dear craft friends, who owns a Cricut...
I am entering this card into the Card Patterns sketch... which, I think if you turn it on it's side, it kind of looks like... I sat there with the sketch next to me, so I tried :)
Ok, that's all from me for tonight...
Happy Stamping! And, don't forget my Blog Candy!

Stampin' Up! Up, Up, & Away and I create a Birthday Card

I made this card last night before bed... yesterday I must have been in the right frame of mind to create... Everything just seemed to work... Here is the card I made
This is a Crumbcake base, with a piece of Baja Breeze, which I sponged to make clouds, and a piece of Old Olive, which I had stamped on using Short and Sweet (I've recently rediscovered this set in my collection.... can you tell?) I stamped my hot air balloons from Up, Up, & Away in Baja Breeze, Old Olive and Crumbcake and cut them out. I stamped the baskets on the sky and then attached the balloons. The ribbon is a scrap off of a shirt, and I think it works really well with this colour scheme :) The two little blue dots? they are buttons made using the Sweet Buttons Embossolit and then they were covered with some Crystal Effects.
I am entering this into three challenges, the first is the Freshly Made Sketches,  which I love this week, it's such a versatile sketch! Next up is the Color Throwdown challenge, which I really liked as well... And finally is the Simon Says Stamp Buttons challenge.
Thanks for dropping round :)
Don't forget the blog candy!

Stampin' Up! Dasher and Delicate Doilies create a Christmas Card

Ok, so yesterday I promised you a second card, but I got caught up doing a whole bunch of other stuff, so didn't get around to posting it... I didn't forget about you all though :)
So, this has a few of my favourite things on it... One of the newest Stampin' Up! released ribbon, Seam Binding, the Delicate Doilies stamp set, and of course my favourite Christmas stamp, the a la carte, Dasher....
This is a Very Vanilla card base, layered with a piece of Baja Breeze which has been stamped randomly with the Delicate Doily that I thought looked most similar to a snowflake. I then wrapped a piece of Vanilla Seam Binding around the Baja Breeze and tied a bow, while incorporating my sentiment (Basic Phrases), which has been stamped in Baja Breeze. I stamped Dasher on a scrap piece of Vanilla, in Versamark, and heat embossed him using Silver Embossing powder. I then trimmed it down, and glued it on to a scrap piece of Baja Breeze. I attached it to the card front using dimensionals.
I am entering this into the Stamping 411 Sketch challenge, which came together super easily for me yesterday. I am also entering this into the Wee Memories favourite technique challenge, mine is of course embossing, whether dry embossing or heat embossing... I love the look of it.

Thanks for dropping by!

Stampin' Up! Up, Up, & Away (new stamp set) and I create a Birthday card

Hi guys! I have been eagerly stalking my postman, I knew he was going to arrive today with a new stamp set for me to play with, and sure enough he showed up with a Stampin' Up! box under his arm! I got the new stamp set Up, Up, & Away, from the 2011-2012 Ideas Book and Catalogue, so of course I had to go ink it up straight away :-D
Ok, so the main image panel has been sitting on my desk for a few days since I was playing with my brayer, and I'm so happy that this worked as well as I wanted it too... I have found the trick is to use Glossy Cardstock, as opposed to flat Whisper White... So, I brayered the background using Bashful Blue, Baja Breeze and a touch of Marina Mist. The masked section I sponged with a little bit of Bashful Blue to create snow peaks... Then with the new stamps in hand, I stamped the hot air balloons and pennant in Staz On. The sentiment is one of my favourites from the retired Basic Phrases. The card base is Baja Breeze with a piece of Whisper White that has some non Stampin' Up! Glitter stuck on it with Sticky Strip. I have then pop dotted the whole main image using some Dimensionals.
I am entering this into the There She Goes  Birthday Pizzazz Challenge and the Less is More anything goes challenge and Wee Memories no patterned paper challenge :)

Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Medallion and I make matching Christening cards

Hi there! My wonderful Nephew (Samuel) and Niece (Brianna) are getting Christened this coming weekend, and of course I needed to make them a card each!
So, I used Baja Breeze for Sam's card and the medallion stamp inked in Versamark and some non- Stampin' Up! Holographic clear embossing powder. For Bree's I used the same stamp and embossing powder, but used Rose Red as the base and sentiment stamp. I think "Happiness Always" is appropriate for a Christening, but I have never been to one, other than my own.... so, correct me if I'm wrong! The sentiment is from Whimsical Words, and is one of my favourites!
Here are some more pictures...
I am entering these in to the Less is More anything C/Simple goes....
Thanks for dropping by!

Stampin' Up! Thanks for Caring and Beautiful Wings Embossolit make Get Well Cards easy!

I have been sitting in my craft room today, avoiding doing work for university, I succeeded in doing any study, and used a set that I haven't used as much as I wanted to when it first came out.
There is a couple of things on this card that will be retiring on the 31st of July, the first is the sentiment which is from Thanks for Caring and the script background which is from my favourite stamp set from the Autumn/Winter Mini catalogue, French Foliage. This card started off as a plain Whisper White card base, I have then used some Designer Series Paper from Elegant Soiree (these papers will leave us on the 31st of August.) I have used some Perfect Plum card and the Eyelet Border Punch which I have tied some Pretty in Pink Grosgrain Ribbon around. The sentiment is coloured using my Stampin' Write Markers in Perfect Plum, Pretty in Pink and Baja Breeze. The Decorative Label Punch has been used on some Perfect plum card which has been stamped with the script stamp from French Foliage. I have cut out some butterflies using my Bigshot and the Beautiful Wings embossolit in Pretty in Pink and sprayed them with a mixture of rubbing alcohol and Shimmer Paint in White, to give them a little glitter. I think the sentiment works really well for a card for someone who is feeling a little under the weather.
I am entering this into three challenges, the first is the Stamping 411 Sketch which I actually struggled a little bit with this week, the next challenge is the SUO Challenge blogs Get Well Theme and finally, my colour inspiration came from Moxie Fab's Tuesday Trigger.
Anywho... Thanks for dropping in!
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Sew Suite and I create a Because I Care Card

Hi Again! Today I decided I wanted to play with the Less is More Challenge again, and to use a set I don't use often enough....
This is a fairly basic clean and simple card, I have used a Crumbcake base, which I have stamped the mannequin from Sew Suite on to three times, twice using Crumbcake the third one is in Basic Black. I have then stamped a sentiment from KaiserCraft (I really like this set) and have cut out some Newsprint DSP (which will retire at the end of August, so if you like this Patterned Paper, you need to get it quick!) I have wrapped some Baja Breeze striped ribbon around the Newsprint DSP and tied a bow... The main mannequin has been stamped on a piece of Very Vanilla and wrapped with a small piece of Marina Mist Grosgrain Ribbon and a little button has been added.
I am entering this into a few challenges, the first being the Less is More Buttons and/or Ribbon challenge, secondly the Jac-Inks Monochrome challenge and the Simon Says Stamp Use Newspaper Challenge.
Anyway, I might head back into the craft room in a little while, after I cook dinner....
Have a great night!
