Some Odd Girl - Tweet Kaylee for a Hello Card.

Hi again!
Yesterday, I went into work early, so I was home by midday (wooh!) and after napping, decided I really needed to craft.... So, I printed out a digi image that has been in my stash a while and coloured her up -
This is Tweet Kaylee, and she was printed directly on to my watercolour paper. I then used my Stampin' Write Markers to colour her in, being careful to avoid the printer ink (it will smudge.) I then fussy cut her out and set her aside to create the rest of my card. The base is White card, layered up with bright yellow paper from Echo Park and some retired patterned paper from Stampin' Up. I then tied a big bow using Ivory Horizontal Stripe ribbon from Ribbon Carousel  *swoon* and stamped my sentiment "hello" using my Basic Black Marker. I added some red rhinestones to finish off the panel and popped Kaylee up on a whole bunch of dimensionals!
I am entering this into three challenges (cause I needed a lot of help with this one) the first is the Ribbon Carousel Sketch which I have edited slightly to fit my image, next up is the colour challenge for The Paper Players and last but not least is the Bright Colours challenge over at Some Odd Girl.

Hey Kaylee (Some Odd Girl) Card

So, it's my time to play again at The Stamp Spot, so here is my card -
I used some patterned paper from Basic Grey called Cherry Cobbler, and took my colours for colouring Kaylee from the paper. I coloured Kaylee, from the Hey Kaylee stamp set using my watercolour markers and cut her out (fiddly process.) I stuck the patterned paper onto some glitter cardstock and wrapped some stitched brown ribbon around, tying a bow. I stamped the Lawn Fawn Chevron Backdrops onto some white card stock, and the sentiment from the Hey Kaylee stamp set. I finished this card off by layering it on to a rich purple card stock, and rounding the top right hand corner.
This card can be used for the April Spots, her eyes as the ovals (ok, so I'm stretching it a bit....) the brown for her hair and stitching in the ribbon :)
I am also entering this into the Ribbon Carousel Anything Goes challenge, as well as the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes challenge as well.

Stampin' Up! Delicate Doilies and I create a card for a friend

I've been a little bit quiet again, but it's not for lack of creating, I assure you! I actually got my sewing machine out last night (replaced the needle) and sat down and did some sewing. It is the first time since I was in high school I've sewn anything other than paper! But, before I did that, I made a card. I've been longing to get back into my clean and simple cards, lately everything I make has had lots of layers, and stuff on it..... this one has big open white space... *sigh* "I'm home!"
It is a Very Vanilla card base, layered with Pink Pirouette and another piece of Very Vanilla, which has been stamped with the doilies from Delicate Doilies in Blushing Bride, So Saffron and Crumbcake. I then stamped the sentiment from Hello You in Crumbcajke and added three little pearls.
I am entering this into three challenges, the first is the sketch from Less is More, which was a super fun one, and one I will use again, I'm sure.... Next up is the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger, Winter Blossoms, which inspired me with the colours and the shapes and overlapping flowers, finally the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes challenge

Thanks for dropping around :)

Stampin' Up! Hello, You and I create a bright Friendship card

Hi guys! I have made yet another card to share with you all! This one is a bright, happy card, to send to a friend to brighten their day....
So, this card is a Whisper White base, layered with Basic Grey and a piece of patterned paper from Echo Park (this paper just makes me smile...), I have then stamped some American Craft Lanterns and coloured them in using my Stampin' Write Markers in Daffodil Delight, Basic Grey, More Mustard and So Saffron, I cut out the lanterns and put some Crystal Effects on the window of the Grey one, and set them aside. Using a scrap piece of Basic Grey, I used a border punch on both sides, and ran some Seam Binding Ribbon down the centre, but before tying a bow, added a length of twine and then tied my bow... I stamped the sentiment from Hello, You in Basic Grey and then lined up my lanterns to finish off this card.
I am entering this into three challenges, the first is the There She Goes Inspiration challenge, I love the colours! The second is the CardPatterns Sketch, which I have turned on its side, and last but not least the Ribbon Carousel Anything Goes challenge.
Thanks for dropping in!

Stampin' Up! Zoo Review and I create a note card for a friend

So, a lot of people know I like giraffes, I have a whole bunch of them in my house, mostly of the stuffed toy variety, including a handmade one from a wonderful friend... When I saw the 2011/2012 Stampin' Up! Ideas Book and Catalogue, and noticed there was a stamp set with a giraffe in it, said stamp set practically jumped into my hands! Now, what is a little bit sad is, that stamp set has been sitting looking at me all forlornly, begging to be inked up, and I've ignored it.... until today
I have started with a Very Vanilla card base, which I have layered with some Early Espresso, (which was run through the Big Shot, using a wood grain embossing folder), I then cut some scallops out of So Saffron and have them peeking out behind... I then focused on my image panel. I stamped the giraffe on Watercolour paper and again on a scrap of Vanilla. On the Watercolour piece, I coloured the giraffe using my Stampin' Write Markers and a Blender pen, and very carefully cut him out. On the Vanilla piece, I coloured the grass and created a shadow around my giraffe using a Sahara Sand marker. I then layered the coloured giraffe on to the vanilla piece, and finished off my image panel by sponging the edges on So Saffron and Peach Parfait. The sentiment is from the retired set, Hello, You and has been stamped using More Mustard and Pumpkin Pie Markers. This card was finished off with a piece of Vanilla Seam Binding (I love this stuff) and a bow tied.
I am entering this into two challenges, the first is the CR84FN Colour challenge, which is Yellow, Orange and Brown. The second challenge is the Mojo Monday sketch.
As always, thanks for dropping by!
Happy Stamping!
