The Greeting Farm - Glimmer Bean? Rainbow

Hi again! I crafted last night, and wanted to share my efforts -
I started out by colouring up my stamp using my Spectrum Noir Markers, and then trimmed out this cute TGF image out, and built my card, I used plain coloured cardstock to build my card, as I wanted the image to really stand out! I used a range of SU! colours (Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, Marina Mist and Wisteria Wonder) And cut out a bunch of circles, to create my border. I added a touch of glitter using some glitter cardstock, and a smattering of buttons, and bling/resins. Here is a close up
I am entering this card into three challenges, the first is the Double Take Tuesday challenge at Splendid Stamping, which is Rainbow, next up is the Anyone For Anya, Buttons challenge, and last but certainly not least, is the Mojo Monday sketch - 270, which of course, I've flipped.

Some Odd Girl, Dancing Mae and I create a fun card!

Hey Hey,
I know I've been quiet over here in blog land.... But, a lot has been happening behind the scenes.... I had a uni assignment due on Friday, and some exciting news is coming.... I was approached by an awesome crafty girl who lives in Victoria to discuss opening up our own sketch challenge blog.... Our site, Feeling Sketchy will go live on April 1st (no April Fools!)... We have put together a small, but awesome design team and can't wait to get started... so pop on over and have a looksee... Meanwhile, I do have a card to share...
This is my first time colouring Dancing Mae, and let me tell you... she is the easiest, most fun little chick to colour! I used my Stampin' Write Markers, and a Blender pen and then when I was done colouring her, cut her out and stuck her to a white nestie and then a Marina Mist nestie. Behind the Marina Mist shape, I have popped three Rich Razzleberry ribbon loops, the main image panel is attached with dimensionals, atop some patterned papers from My Minds Eye and KaiserCraft. I stamped the sentiment using alphabet stamps and on the inside, it has 'like no-one is watching'
I am entering this into two challenges. The Play Date Cafe colour challenge and the iSpy Sketches challenge

Thanks for popping by :)

Stampin' Up! Lattice embossing folder and I create a Wintery Christmas Card

Hi! I'm back again... I know I keep going AWOL, but I haven't been idle, I've been preparing card stock and cards from my Stamp Club which meets on Wednesday :) I also made this card, just because...
This is a Marina Mist card base, which is layered with a piece of Basic Grey which I ran through the Big Shot, using Stampin' Up!'s Lattice Embossing Folder. I then got three pieces of Whisper White, and brayered one piece using Bashful Blue, Baja Breeze and Marina Mist. I then stamped some trees from SEI set WinterSong and some deer from the same set, using Basic Grey ink. I sponged a little bit of Basic Grey underneath the deer to ground them, and stamped a sentiment from SEI in Basic Grey, and attached all three panels on to the card base.
I am entering this into the Freshly Made Sketches challenge. I am also entering this into LaurensGlitzyB Blog Candy, to show your style... this card is totally my style, clean, crisp and simple :)
Don't forget, if you haven't already entered my Blog Candy, you have 11 days left to enter :)

Stampin' Up! Elebration and I create a Birthday Card

Hi guys! I have a whole bunch of birthdays that need cards this month. This one was made for a friend to give to their grandma for her birthday.... I was asked to use an elephant on it.... So, here it is.
This is a small card, at only 4.25" Square. It is a Tempting Turquoise base, layered with Whisper White, some patterned paper from Echo Park, and some Basic Grey card which I ran through the Big Shot, using a non Stampin' Up! Embossing folder. I stamped the elephant, which is an รก la carte single stamp, that retails for $19.95 on some watercolour paper using StazOn. I then coloured him with my Stampin' Write Markers and a Blender Pen. I used Daffodil Delight, Sahara Sand, Tempting Turquoise and Marina Mist. I cut him out very carefully, and attached him to the card front. The sentiment is from Short and Sweet (one of the first sets I ever bought through Stampin' Up!)
I am entering this into three challenges, first up is the Mojo Monday Sketch, next is the Stamp Spot inspiration challenge, and once again, I'm linking this up to Simon Says Stamp anything goes.
Anyway, I hope to craft today, so there may be more to come :)

Stampin' Up! Vintage Vogue and I create a Thank You Card

I'm back! The postman arrived with some stamps I'd bought from a friend in the states, so I had to play with them... This card is my first time using anything by Papertrey Ink... *in love*
This is a fairly basic card.... I used a Crumbcake card base, layered it with some retired Stampin' Up! Designer series paper, and a piece of vellum. I stamped the sentiment from Vintage Vogue on a piece of scrap Vanilla, and Island Indigo ink. The butterfly is from Papertrey ink, and has been cut using the matching die, and stamped. I then water coloured him using Bashful Blue, Marina Mist and a tiny little bit of Tempting Turquoise with my Stampin' Write Markers and a blender pen.
I am entering this into the Clean & Simple sketch challenge, and the Simon Says Stamp anything goes challenge
I'll be back later with one more card :)
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! I {Heart} Hearts and I make a fun Hello! Card

I love cards to send out a quick hello, I'm thinking about you today... So, last night when I sat down to craft (instead of sleeping) I made this one
I have used a Marina Mist card base (not a colour I use very often!) and layered it with some Crumbcake (Kraft) and some patterned paper that has been in my stash for ever. I then stamped some hearts from I {Heart} Hearts in Marina Mist, Crumbcake and Sahara Sand, cut them out, and layered them on the patterned paper. I added some punchie hearts to fill. The sentiment is a new one I just received in the mail, and is a Hero Arts one.
I am entering this into three challenges, the first is the Freshly Made Sketches weekly sketch, which actually had me baffled for some time... The second challenge is the Play Date Cafe colour challenge, oh I liked this one :) and lastly, the Simon Says Stamp free for all, anything goes.
Thanks for dropping by!
You may have noticed, I've added a link to my etsy shop on the right, so if anything catches your eye, just pop over and have a look :)

Stampin' Up! Watercolouring using Stampin' Write Markers, and Just Believe create an Alice in Wonderland Inspired Card

Yup, that's one long saga of a title... But, I think it describes this card perfectly...
Ok, so I started off this card using the head from one The Greeting Farm stamp, and the body of another, I stamped them on Stampin' Up! Watercolour paper, and coloured them both using my Stampin' Write Markers a blender pen and one ink pad. (If you would like the list of colours, please just comment and I will update this post) I then spent ages looking through my stash for an appropriate patterned paper, turns out, I need to expand my collection of blue papers... I found this one, while not quite what I wanted pattern wise, was the right colour I was looking for. It is from a stack I split with my mum ages ago, so I can't tell you who it's by. I punched out a strip of Bashful Blue using the scallop border punch and layered it on either side. Before gluing it in place, I ran a piece of white Seam Binding Ribbon around it, and tied a double bow. I picked out the sentiment from Just Believe, as I thought it was a perfect match for Alice... I stamped it in Marina Mist, and cut it out using the decorative label punch.
You know those cards that turn out better than you could have imagined? Well, for me, this was one of them... I keep looking at it, and thinking about the Alice in Wonderland book, which is one of my favourites... (the original, by Lewis Carroll.)
Anyway, I am entering this into two challenges, the first is the Freshly Made Sketches challenge, yes, my card is a fairly loose interpretation of the challenge, but I hope you can still see the resemblance. The second challenge is the Simon Says Stamp inspired by nursery rhymes and fairy tales challenge.
Thanks for dropping by :)

Stampin' Up! Up, Up, & Away (new stamp set) and I create a Birthday card

Hi guys! I have been eagerly stalking my postman, I knew he was going to arrive today with a new stamp set for me to play with, and sure enough he showed up with a Stampin' Up! box under his arm! I got the new stamp set Up, Up, & Away, from the 2011-2012 Ideas Book and Catalogue, so of course I had to go ink it up straight away :-D
Ok, so the main image panel has been sitting on my desk for a few days since I was playing with my brayer, and I'm so happy that this worked as well as I wanted it too... I have found the trick is to use Glossy Cardstock, as opposed to flat Whisper White... So, I brayered the background using Bashful Blue, Baja Breeze and a touch of Marina Mist. The masked section I sponged with a little bit of Bashful Blue to create snow peaks... Then with the new stamps in hand, I stamped the hot air balloons and pennant in Staz On. The sentiment is one of my favourites from the retired Basic Phrases. The card base is Baja Breeze with a piece of Whisper White that has some non Stampin' Up! Glitter stuck on it with Sticky Strip. I have then pop dotted the whole main image using some Dimensionals.
I am entering this into the There She Goes  Birthday Pizzazz Challenge and the Less is More anything goes challenge and Wee Memories no patterned paper challenge :)

Thanks for dropping by!

Stampin' Up! Because I Care, with Stampin' Write Markers

Hi guys,
I'm back again with a new card to show you :)
A very clean and simple, one layer card... makes me just a little happy.... I used Crumbcake base, stamped the hydrangea from Because I Care, which is a retired hostess set I didn't ink up nearly enough when it was current! I stamped the image and sentiment using Staz-On. I then got my Stampin' Write markers out in Bashful Blue, Marina Mist, Night of Navy, Certainly Celery, Wild Wasabi and Old Olive and coloured in the flower and leaves layering the colour from lightest to darkest. When the image was coloured, I went over some of the sections with my white gel pen to give a little bit of highlighting.
I am entering this into the OLW Challenge which is to make a one layer card using colouring in on your card. Thanks for dropping by!
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Sew Suite and I create a Because I Care Card

Hi Again! Today I decided I wanted to play with the Less is More Challenge again, and to use a set I don't use often enough....
This is a fairly basic clean and simple card, I have used a Crumbcake base, which I have stamped the mannequin from Sew Suite on to three times, twice using Crumbcake the third one is in Basic Black. I have then stamped a sentiment from KaiserCraft (I really like this set) and have cut out some Newsprint DSP (which will retire at the end of August, so if you like this Patterned Paper, you need to get it quick!) I have wrapped some Baja Breeze striped ribbon around the Newsprint DSP and tied a bow... The main mannequin has been stamped on a piece of Very Vanilla and wrapped with a small piece of Marina Mist Grosgrain Ribbon and a little button has been added.
I am entering this into a few challenges, the first being the Less is More Buttons and/or Ribbon challenge, secondly the Jac-Inks Monochrome challenge and the Simon Says Stamp Use Newspaper Challenge.
Anyway, I might head back into the craft room in a little while, after I cook dinner....
Have a great night!

Cards

Hi All! Hope you all had a fantastic Australia Day! I know I did, we had a few friends over for a barbecue... We had good intentions of sitting outside to eat, but it was just much too hot! It was still 36 degrees Celsius (about 97 in Fahrenheit) at 2am when I was trying to sleep.... thankfully not long after, a southerly change came through, cooling the place down a little...
Now, onto some cards!

The first I made a few days ago, but didn't get round to posting. It is for the ColourQ challenge, which this week was an interesting colour combo for me! You all know how much I love orange... or in this case 'peach'...
The second card was for a couple of challenges...
The first challenge was the Colour Throwdown, which was to use

I don't have any thing with Kiwi Kiss, so I substituted with Pear Pizzazz. It's hard to tell in the photo, but the trees do actually have Old Olive leaves... I swear! The other challenge I'm entering this into is the Stamping Vacation White Space challenge... while my card has a lot of empty space.... it's not exactly white.... but before doing this card, I did double check the meaning of White Space, and this qualifies.... The other pre-requisite of this challenge was to use three of anything... and that is my 3 trees...
I love the sentiment stamp, (it arrived in the mail today!) I don't have enough "just because" stamps.... So, this Basic Grey one was a welcome addition....
Thanks for checking in....
Go check out some challenges, and as always have fun!

Blog Candy!

Today, I was flicking through the Summer Mini Catalogue, when I came across the scrap book layout on pg 22.
I don't have the stamp set used as yet, but may have to invest in it... Instead, I used Vintage Vogue, and Artistic Etchings. I don't currently own any SU! Alphabet stamp sets either, so I used a KaiserCraft set I bought forever ago!
Have a look through the catalogue and Summer Mini, and see if you can case anything.... I'd love to see what you create...!
I'm going to make this my blog candy! Show me something you have created using inspiration from the catalogues! You have until the 23rd of February 2011, and the winner will receive 1 pack of New Designer Series Paper - Island Oasis, valued at $16.95

Mojo Monday/Stampin' Royalty Challenge

Hi all,
Hopefully I will be able to post this before my internet runs out *sadface* I created a card tonight for two challenges tonight. The first was the Mojo Monday Sketch, which I tried out the other night.... And also the Stampin' Royalty Challenge.

Here is my card-
I added a neutral colour with Crumbcake, and white.... I used the Classic Stars Jumbo wheel from Stampin' Up! I have used it on the cluster of stars as well, just cutting out a few of the stars and laying them together.... The sentiment is from Party This Way stamp set.
Thanks guys!
