Stampin' Up! Last Chance- Silhouette Sentiments and I create a Gift Card Holder

My second last week as being a Guest Designer at Just Add Ink, and boy did I struggle with this one!
I started by masking off most of the Vanilla base with a circle cut out, and sponged Peach Parfait and a touch of Cajun Craze in the corner, I then used the other part of the mask to cover the sun so I could sponge the sky. It is mostly Bashful Blue, with a touch of Night of Navy. I removed the mask and stamped the bird from Silhouette Sentiments (Hostess set) and the sentiment from the same set. I layered it on Cajun Craze and Peach Parfait.
Then, it went all on a small base of Very Vanilla, which had a piece cut out and folded up for a gift card to be held.
ETA: I wanted to link you all to Andrea's blog, as I found there was a very similar cards on Splitcoast Stampers, I realise I probably saw it and used the general idea, in that case, I apologise Andrea, I didn't mean to CASE your card with out linking back to you...
I didn't really decorate the inside, but you get the idea... Anyway, head over to the Just Add Ink website and have a play with the new colour challenge!

Stampin' Up! French Foliage and I make Masculine Cards

Hi Again Guys!
It feels like such a long time since I have update my blog (it's only been 3 days....hmmmm) Anyway, I wanted to share with you a card that I made today with my good friends Sue and Kim who came over to play today. It seems that one of the few times I craft is when these guys are around.... it's not true, not really, I do craft alone.... hehe... anyway, Sue brought along a few of the new stamp sets from the Autumn/Winter mini catalogue. One of the sets she brought along was French Foliage (page 20, $39.95 for wood mount, $31.95 for clear mount). Here is the card I created:
This card was created using Early Espresso, More Mustard, Cajun Craze and Whisper White. I was really nervous about making this card, as I wasn't sure I liked the set, but now I've used it, I will definitely have it in my order tomorrow!
Hopefully the girls will upload their versions on this card soon. Check over at Sue's and Kim's blogs....
Until next time, Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Natures Nest makes Masculine Cards easy!

Hi all, another few quiet past days, but... I have been crafting! I had a short but fun filled craft morning with Kim and Sue, my wonderful team mates. The first card we made was using the stamp set Natures Nest, which I do not own, but after using it, will have to put it on the wishlist.
I hate to admit it, but when Kim pulled out these colours, I groaned.... I generally don't use Green, or Cajun.... but the colours here are - Cajun Craze, Garden Green, Not Quite Navy, and Whisper White. After making my card though, I love the colour combo, and even more the card that came out of it.....
Thanks for looking, hopefully the girls will have a chance to pop their cards up soon.
Until then, Happy Stamping!

Miss You Card

Hi all,
I was supposed to be having a craft morning today, but it got cancelled *sadface*, so not letting the morning go to completely to waste, I decided to bare the heat in my craft room and create anyway,.....
This was made using inspiration from two challenges, the first being the Mojo Monday sketch,
and the Curtain Call Colour challenge
Now, this was a difficult one for me... I struggled a bit with it (the challenges lately are doing that to me) and I just realised my 'wave' is going in the opposite direction to the Mojo sketch...  The colour combo was an odd one, and I had to dig through my retired colour stash to find almost amethyst.... Also, it turns out, I've got no Choc Chip cardstock... must rectify that....
Anyway, go participate in some challenges, and as always, have fun!

Cards

Hi All! Hope you all had a fantastic Australia Day! I know I did, we had a few friends over for a barbecue... We had good intentions of sitting outside to eat, but it was just much too hot! It was still 36 degrees Celsius (about 97 in Fahrenheit) at 2am when I was trying to sleep.... thankfully not long after, a southerly change came through, cooling the place down a little...
Now, onto some cards!

The first I made a few days ago, but didn't get round to posting. It is for the ColourQ challenge, which this week was an interesting colour combo for me! You all know how much I love orange... or in this case 'peach'...
The second card was for a couple of challenges...
The first challenge was the Colour Throwdown, which was to use

I don't have any thing with Kiwi Kiss, so I substituted with Pear Pizzazz. It's hard to tell in the photo, but the trees do actually have Old Olive leaves... I swear! The other challenge I'm entering this into is the Stamping Vacation White Space challenge... while my card has a lot of empty space.... it's not exactly white.... but before doing this card, I did double check the meaning of White Space, and this qualifies.... The other pre-requisite of this challenge was to use three of anything... and that is my 3 trees...
I love the sentiment stamp, (it arrived in the mail today!) I don't have enough "just because" stamps.... So, this Basic Grey one was a welcome addition....
Thanks for checking in....
Go check out some challenges, and as always have fun!

Crafty Challenges

Hey all, a few cards for you, for a bunch of different challenges. First up is this card
This is for the Curtain Call colour challenge, which was another difficult one... It is also for the Stamping 411 Saturday sketch.

The next card is:
This one is for a few challenges as well... A new one that I've found is CR84FN which was to use light pink, peach and yellow. This also falls into the Just Add Ink Summer challenge. The truth is, I'm not entirely happy with either of these, but I think I'm just being unreasonably harsh...
On a personal note, today I got all my hair cut off! It was down to my bra strap before getting it cut.... so.... here is the new cut....
