Stampin' Up! Tropical Party and I create Summer inspired cards

Hi all!
I'm back again with some more summery cards... as we are moving into Autumn here, it seems weird that I've had a sudden flash of summer inspiration... I blame the weather, it isn't autumny yet, still quite summery
I am entering this card into the Less is More challenge, which was to make a one layer card which was off the edge. I have used a few ink colours with the leaves, and the masking technique to get the leaves to sit 'behind' the flowers. The sentiment is from Upsy Daisy, and is a very versatile in what style it can be used on. I like how this card turned out.
The second card I have to show you, utilising the stamps from Tropical Party, is one I made on Wednesday with Kim, it is actually an almost direct case on a card I made a little while ago.
This time, I embossed the trees in black, and chalked instead of inked the background. The sentiment is also different, this time using the Sale-a-bration set So Happy For You, which I don't use nearly enough... Anyway, the football is going to start soon, and I have to get some uni work done before settling down to watch the game... so, until next time
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Tropical Party makes fun birthday cards!

I have had a really productive day today, I completely cleaned the house, mopped and vacuumed throughout! so, after cleaning the entire house, I decided it was time to spend some me time...
I made a few cards, the first one is for the Colour Q Challenge that I told you I was going to show you the other day....
I loved the design of the first one of these I did, so I made another one.... The second card I have to show you is one that is almost a direct case from one of my favourite cardmakers, Danielle Daws. Over at Just Add Ink this week, the challenge is to case work from either Danielle or Amanda, as their parting gift from running the JAI challenge blog! I have also used the Tuesday Trigger from Moxie Fab World, which was so bright and cheery, the other challenge I am entering this into is the Play Date Cafe Colour Splash.... Here is my card, and the link to Danielle's card that I cased...
So, that's the two cards I have made with Stampin' Up's Tropical Party, come back a bit later for a few more cards... Thanks, and Happy Stamping!

Another UStamp Project!

I'm back again with another UStamp project! This one I've been looking at for a few days... trying to figure out what I want to do with it... Not that the project Tammy created wasn't beautiful, unfortunately the stamp set she used has not been released in Australia yet.... *sad face*
Anyway, unbelievably, this entire project came out of one 12x12 piece of cardstock! Unfortunately, I cannot show you how on my blog, but go join UStamp, if only for this wonderful project!

Something else that is awesome is this Colour Coach online that I found today! I used one of their suggestions to create my colour palette for this project... Go, have a play and find an awesome colour combo!

Colour Challenge Cards

Feels like a while since I posted anything, but in retrospect it has only been 3 days... I have been crafting though... I have made four cards. I made two on Friday night, one I'm not going to share, because I really don't like it... the other is this one for the Moxie Fab World Gray is the new Black Challenge.
I used a retired colour with this card, one I didn't even know I owned... Taken with Teal. I have paired it with Basic Grey, Whisper white and vellum. There was supposed to be another rhinestone, but it fell off somewhere.... "hmmm..."
The next two cards, I created last night, they are also for colour challenges.
The first of the two is for the Just Add Ink colour challenge,
I found that I sat looking at these colours together for a long time before deciding on something... When I did decide, it was to make a card that Danielle Daws had a tutorial for on UStamp. I loved the simplicity of the card she created, and the wow factor that went along with it.... so here is my interpretation
The last card I have to show you is for the Inkspirations most recent colour challenge, which is another doozy...
This is a colour combo I had massive issues with! I'm not a huge fan of Peach Parfait, or Orange in general.... The card I'm not showing you was made with this colour combo... Anyway, here is the card for this challenge
As you can see, I've fallen back into my safe colour of Kraft/Crumbcake... If all else fails, pull out the crumbcake....
