Non-Traditional Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day! I hope your day is filled with love, whether it be from your significant other, kids, pets or even a little bit of spoiling yourself! I have a non-traditional Valentine's card to share today, one that will probably go to a friend...
For this card, I raided my stash of off cut papers, that were sitting in my "scrap" file. I grabbed the green and yellow and then decided on my stamp, which is from Kraftin' Kimmie. I stamped her, and coloured her, using my Spectrum Noir Markers. Then, I built up the card. The yellow paper, is from Echo Park, and the Green is from Lawn Fawn, I used a piece of blue card stock behind the main image, and added some ribbon (from Spotlight) tied in a bow. The sentiment is from the same stamp set as the main image (I can't think of the name of it right now!)

Scrapbooking - Washi Wednesday

All washi tape has been reduced to $1.50 for today only! So, pop in store and grab some at this low price, be quick though, some styles may sell out!
I've got a scrap page to share today, using some of my favourite products from The Stamp Spot Store! We're featuring Washi Tape creations on The Stamp Spot Blog today, so pop over for a look!
Here is the main view of the page -
I started out by wrapping three different washi tapes, I used these three -
*#30 15mm and
the third one I can't find in store, but is similar to this one
I then layered up the photo, and a photo mat from the Sn@p Vintage Bliss 4x6 Paper Pad
I stuck down a Jillibean Soup Sticker (Wise Words) and a mistable Pink Paislee Arrow which I sponged with some blue ink, letting the ink run out towards the end of the arrow. I layered a Finding Nana button on top of a paper bloom and added a 2Crafty chipboard butterfly.
This section shows my title, made from Alphabet stickers, I love the look of mixed fonts, so have used Jillibean Alphabeans and Kaisercraft Mini Alpha. I also added a Remember This sticker, which matched my colour scheme, as well as more paper bloomsSilver glitter paper and a strip of denim ribbon. I added more rhinestones, and another 2Crafty Butterfly.

In opposite corners, I added three strips of the co-ordinating washi tape, some more rhinestones and a final 2Crafty butterfly. The corner or the photo has a rhinestone frame and a denim bow.

Kraftin' Kimmie Tinkerbell Christmas Card, Take 2

Hi Again! I have another Chirstmas card to share today! This one is going to be heading out to a family member by the end of next week hopefully! Have you started sending Christmas Cards yet? Check out my MadeIt store, if you need a few more to send :) Here is the last Kraftin' Kimmie Christmas card I made... I think Tinkerbell is a fab, sassy, little angel/fairy, perfect for Christmas cards! Here is my latest -
I had some left over patterned paper on my desk from this card, as well as some red, Christmas paper from Stampin' Up's stamp club this month, so I combined them together with some more patterned paper from My Minds Eye, and pulled them all together using some doodled borders. I coloured up Tinkerbell using my Spectrum Noir markers, and glittered her wings using Stardust Stickles. I added a few rhinestones to her hair accessory, as well as belt. I stamped the sentiment, (from SU!) and cut it out using my nesting circle dies...
I am entering this into three challenges, the first being the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches, next up the Festive challenge for Kraftin' Kimmie, and finally the anything goes challenge at Simon Says Stamp.

Some Odd Girl - Romantic Gwen

Hi guys! I have been crafting, just haven't been blogging much! Sorry! Anyway, here is the card I made last night -
I used Romantic Gwen, from Some Odd girl, and coloured her up with my Spectrum Noir Markers, and added some doodling on her clothing using a white gel pen. I have used patterned papers from Echo Park, and tied a big bow out of Kraft coloured Vintage Seam Binding ribbon from Ribbon Carousel. I added some stitching around the circle patterned paper and three little rhinestones.
Here's a close up -
I used the sketch from Deconstructing Jen #75, turned on it's side.

My Favourite Things Pure Innocence Stamp

Hi Again, I said I'd be back with another card to share :) So, here it is -
I started with patterned paper from Echo Park, layered up with more patterned paper, and of course, a little bit of glitter never hurt! I coloured my image using Spectrum Noir markers and also drew the clouds and sky in using my markers as well. The sentiment is from another Pure Innocence stamp set, called Water Lily, which I cut apart to position on each of the banners. I attached some paper flowers and a resin rose and some bling to finish it off.
I am entering this into the MFT Splitcoast Stampers Sketch challenge.
Thanks for dropping by :)

Some Odd Girl Dancin' Mae

Hi Again! My mojo is back! *happy dance* I created two cards last night that I'm quietly happy with.... Here's the first one -
I got an envelope of goodies from Annmaree the other day, and in it was some patterned paper American Craft- Amy Tangerine Sketchbook. As soon as I saw them, this pattern jumped out at me, and got me all inspired :D I started off colouring Dancin' Mae with my Spectrum Noir markers. I wanted to try black hair, because I feel like I'm forever colouring light brown hair... I must admit, I struggled a bit with the idea of leaving part of her hair uncoloured.... But, I do like the outcome :) The patterned paper was layered on some black, then on to the card base, the main image panel also has a thin black border... The sentiment is one that comes with Dancin' Mae and is layered up on some Satin Horizontal Stripe Ribbon and a few black rhinestones finish this card off.
I am entering this into three challenges, the first up is the sketch challenge from Some Odd Girl, next up is The Corrosive Challenge - Sentiments and finally Make it Monday, anything goes

Some Odd Girl Digital Stamp - Beach Babe Kaylee

Hi Guys! I'm back with a new card to share. This is one that came together exactly as it was in my head. Don't you love it when that happens? Here it is -
I actually sat on the computer, on facebook while colouring this digi image... I had printed her out, and knew that I wanted to use her in a Polaroid frame... So, didn't worry about colouring much below her bikini top... I then coloured the background using the Copic Colouring Tutorial for clouds that was posted on the Some Odd Girl Blog the other day, I just changed the colours to Spectrum Noir colours... I then cut her out, mounted her on black cardstock, and then white and stamped the sentiment from Hey Kaylee. The main card is Melon Mambo, layered with black card and patterned paper from Kaisercraft's Hippy Girl collection. I then put some black rhinestones in each valley of the scallop circle and added some glossy accents to her glasses.
I am entering this into two challenges, first up is the Sketch from Mojo Monday, I clearly picked the circle option, for something a bit different. I am also entering this into the Addicted to Stamps Challenge, to use Markers.

Feeling Sketchy Week 9 Scrapbook Sketch

Hi guys! It's that time of the week again! Brand new sketch over at Feeling Sketchy! This week is a scrapbook sketch, but if you're not a scrapbooker, feel free to edit it to a card :)
F-Sketchy Scrapbook 2
And here is my version -
This is my adorable niece Brianna she recently celebrated her 1st birthday (see yesterdays post) I started off with some aqua blue Bazzill and some Fancy Pants 12x12 patterned paper and went with the colours in the paper as my starting point. I have stamped a piece of Pretty in Pink cardstock with the En Francais background stamp and sponged the edges. My photo is matted on some Crumbcake card stock and my cluster of embellishments is a bit of mix -
I've used a Christmas transparency and layered it up with a crochet doily a bottle cap, and some yellow roses. The bottle cap is one I bought a while ago, but I didn't particularly like the image that was underneath, so I pried off the resin top, cut out a circle that fit (from Stampin' Up! patterned paper) and stuck it back down using clear drying glue. The mini flag says Pretty Little Girl and is from My Minds Eye. The main title is a chipboard title I've covered (quite a lot) in Liquid Pearls to add a bit of bling. I finished off the page with a corner of rhinestones to balance the corner of embellishments.
Recently at our Feeling Sketchy facebook page, we reached 200 (!) fans, and it was such a buzz for the sketchettes! Feel free to pop over and 'like' the page!

Some Odd Girl - Gifty Gwen and I make a For You Card

Hi guys! Sorry I have been a terrible blogger lately... I've been quite busy house hunting and working. So, I haven't had a lot of time in the craft room, and when I've been in there, my mojo has gone walk a bouts... I did get a flash of mojo this afternoon though and created this card -
This is a Daffodil Delight (Über bright!) and layered it with Basic Gray and some fun, ticket patterned paper from My Minds Eye Dilly Dally 6x6 paper pad. I then set to colouring Gifty Gwen (The Stamp Spot stocks a range of Some Odd girls!) I coloured her with my Stampin' Write Markers, and a blender pen, cut her out and added her to some white card with some foam dimensionals. I tied a Island Indigo bow around the white card and layered it onto some Daffodil Delight and Basic Gray card. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up, and finished off the card with some bright red rhinestones.
I am entering this into two challenges, the first is the Ribbon Carousel Challenge, which this week was to use bright colours.... Surprisingly, I really struggled with this.... I think it's the lack of mojo! And next up is the Card Patterns Sketch which I put extra layers on... I'm not usually an excess layer person, at all!

Hi again! I have my next card for the challenge blog Feeling Sketchy go live this morning, but, because I had to go to work, I didn't get a chance to post it, until now
A plain white card base, layered with Basic Gray and paper by My Minds Eye, beautiful Satin Pleated ribbon from the Ribbon Carousel and a stamp by Paperific, stamped, and coloured with my Stampin Write Markers, in Rich Razzleberry, Pool Party and Lucky Limeade. I popped it up on dimensionals and added some light pink rhinestones to finish it off.

Some Odd Girl

Hello! I have my DT post for The Stamp Spot going live today! Here is my card -
I started off with a Vanilla Cream card base, layered it up with some Lavender card stock and a piece of Eskimo Kisses patterned paper by Basic Grey. I stitched the patterned paper to the Lavendar with my sewing machine and white thread. I then layered up a MFT Die-namics woodgrain embossed fence in Kraft card and some pretty Herringbone Ribbon. The image is the Some Odd GirlsSmell the Flowers Tia and has been coloured using watercolour markers before being cut out with my Nesties. I added some Stickles to her barrette and the flower centres. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up from Just Believe stamp set. Behind the Kaisercraft paper flowers, I have cut out some leaves using this die. I added some plain silver rhinestones to finish off the sentiment, and the card.
This card fits all the criteria for this months challenge - Brown, Ovals and Stitching.  I love the different interpretations of this challenge, as none of them are even remotely similar! I can't wait to see what you do with it!

Stampin' Up! Bird on a Branch and I create a Springtime Blank Card

Hi Guys!
Back again with another card to share before bed! :)
This is a fairly basic card, I have used a Confetti White card base, layered with patterned paper from Kaisercraft, although, I felt it was too bright for this card, so I toned it down using plain vellum. I added a small piece of So Saffron card stock, layered with some Confetti White card which I'd run through the Bigshot with a woodgrain embossing folder. I added some pretty pink ruffled ribbon, and tied a bow. The main image is from the retired Stampin' Up! set Bird on a Branch and has been stamped using Stampin' Write Markers and sponged with Bashful Blue. I added three little Rhinestones and left this card blank, with no sentiment.
I am entering this into three challenges, the first is the Embellish Magazine challenge, next up is the Freshly Made Sketches challenge, and finally The Paper Players Spring Challenge.
Thanks for popping by!

Stampin' Up! Friendly Phrases and I create a just because card.

Hi guys! I'm back again with another card... At the moment, I'm trying to use more patterned papers on my cards, I have a whole bunch of the 6" x 6" paper pads from various companies, so I figured I should start using them! I also need to keep using the ribbons I've got, as I have a slight obsession in buying new ribbon from The Ribbon Carousel! Anyway, on to my card!
I've used a Baja Breeze card base, layered it with Confetti White card and a piece of Daffodil Delight (with a littl punched border of Baja Breeze) The patterned paper on this card is from My Minds Eye and I've cut it into one and a half inch squares, the spent ages lining them all up and glued them down. Before attaching the Daffodil Piece to the Confetti White piece, I added some Stampin' Up! Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon and tied a bow. The sentiment (from Friendly Phrases, Stampin' Up!) is stamped in Night of Navy, and is set off with 3 blue rhinestones.
I am entering this into the CardPatterns sketch challenge.

The Greeting Farm and I create a 'Sweet' Card

Hi Guys! I had a pretty terrible day, with some bad health news. So, to take my mind off it for a little while, I sat and created a card to share with you all.
This is a Crumbcake/Kraft card base, which I have layered with Pink Pirouette card stock and some patterned paper. I wrapped some white lace and some lovely 5/8" Light Pink Sheer Ruffled Edge Ribbon, from the Ribbon Carousel, then I coloured my Greeting Farm image with Stampin' Write Markers and a Blender Pen. I cut out a Spellbinder Nestabilities and sponged it lightly with Blushing Bride Ink, stamp the sentiment and made up a swirl of diamante.
I am entering this into 3 challenges, the first is the Anyone For Anya Treats challenge, I went for something 'sweet' (with the sentiment). Next up, is The Stamp Spot Sketch challenge, and finally the Friday Mashup Inspiration photo.
Thanks for popping by!

Stampin' Up! Scrapbooking using Timeless Type in 2012

Hi guys! I have a scrapbook page to share today. It's a great way to start the new year...
The photo I have scrapbooked is one I took on my mobile phone of myself, just to show my new glasses I think it was... I really like how the photo turned out, so I printed it out and decided to scrapbook it. 2012 is going to be as big year for me, as I have decided to take control of my weight loss and look into gastric sleeving surgery, so this page is dedicated to the first steps I will need to take this year to get the ball rolling. I have used papers from American Craft, and October Afternoon, as well as Thickers and alpha's from Kaisercraft. I have cut out the 2012 using the Timeless Type sizzlet (again) and glittered them up. I also added a few basic rhinestones to counter the bling :)
Below, I have added a few close ups :)

I am entering this into the Just Add Ink Scrapbook challenge, which they will be running monthly, which is to include a first or one... Secondly, I am entering this into the new challenge Daring You to Scrap which was to use scraps to create a background. I actually only used scraps apart from the base layers, so I have a few less scraps in my pile and finally into the Unstampabelles anything goes challenge
