Some Odd Girl - Digital Stamp - Grands - Anniversary Card

Hi guys! I've got free postage (worldwide) in both my etsy and madeit stores this weekend! Just use coupon code MUMSDAY to checkout, with free shipping!
Anyway, I was asked to make an anniversary card, for a sixtieth (!) wedding anniversary...

I started out, by buying, printing and colouring the Some Odd Girl digital stamp - Grand Couple. As usual, I used my Spectrum Noir Markers, and then fussy cut the image out. I then grabbed some patterned papers, from American Crafts, and a no named brand pad and trimmed them down. I mounted the patterned papers on some Island Indigo SU cardstock and doodled around the edges. I created the sentiment, by using my printer and some number stamps, and gold embossing the 60. I added a smattering of sequins to finish off the card.

Some Odd Girl - Sweet Thinkin' Mae

Hi Guys! Back today to share my most recent DT post for The Stamp Spot
I used Sweet Thinkin' Mae and coloured her up using my Spectrum Noir Markers
I then set to making my card. I used patterned paper from the Cosmo Cricket Baby Jane 6x6 paper pad, as well as Dot Textured Yellow Cardstock and Grosgrain Ribbon in Aqua for the little ribbon loops a button from my stash and two tiny little tags all tied up with some Twine. I layered it all on some Aquamarine cardstock and called it done :)

If you have any questions about the Spectrum Noir Markers, leave a comment, and I will try to answer. I should also take note of what colours I have used.... lol
This card fits in with the 'Spots Challenge' for this month a The Stamp Spot and also for the Some Odd Girl colour challenge, and the Simon Says Stamp Summer Inspiration challenge
Thanks so much for popping by!

Magnolia "Relax" Card

Hello Again! Back today with the newest Feeling Sketchy post which should have gone live the same time this post does :) Don't forget to pop over to our Facebook page, and 'like it' as there will be a giveaway at 200 fans! Here is this weeks sketch -
And my interpretation -
This is my first ever Magnolia card....! I coloured her using my Stampin' Write Markers and blender pen, and then cut her out. I used a Crumbcake base layered up with papers from My Minds Eye, and a Spellbinders nestie scalloped circle, and normal circle. I stamped "Relax" which is from Unity in Island Indigo ink and sponged a grounding for Magnolia. I layered everythin up, and then popped Liquid Pearls around her jewellery and the scallops. The butterfly punch is by Martha Stewart, and has been punched twice, once in patterned paper, and once in Vellum.
Thanks for dropping around, and we'd love to see your creations over at the Feeling Sketchy Blog!

Some Odd Girl - Gifty Gwen and I make a For You Card

Hi guys! Sorry I have been a terrible blogger lately... I've been quite busy house hunting and working. So, I haven't had a lot of time in the craft room, and when I've been in there, my mojo has gone walk a bouts... I did get a flash of mojo this afternoon though and created this card -
This is a Daffodil Delight (Über bright!) and layered it with Basic Gray and some fun, ticket patterned paper from My Minds Eye Dilly Dally 6x6 paper pad. I then set to colouring Gifty Gwen (The Stamp Spot stocks a range of Some Odd girls!) I coloured her with my Stampin' Write Markers, and a blender pen, cut her out and added her to some white card with some foam dimensionals. I tied a Island Indigo bow around the white card and layered it onto some Daffodil Delight and Basic Gray card. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up, and finished off the card with some bright red rhinestones.
I am entering this into two challenges, the first is the Ribbon Carousel Challenge, which this week was to use bright colours.... Surprisingly, I really struggled with this.... I think it's the lack of mojo! And next up is the Card Patterns Sketch which I put extra layers on... I'm not usually an excess layer person, at all!
Thanks for dropping by!

The Greeting Farm and I create a Masculine Thank You Card

I was in a total colouring mood this evening, and decided to have a play....
I decided from the offset that this lil guy was going to be a "Ginger Ninja", so set to work colouring his hair. I started with So Saffron as the base, then a fair bit of Pumpkin Pie and finally a touch of Tangerine Tango on the ends and blended it all up with my blender pen... I love his hair! I used patterned papers from two different My Minds Eye 6x6 paper pads and some of the Stampin' Up! Denim Ribbon (I need more of this!) I mounted the lil guy on a white circle cut out with my nesties and attached him using mounting foam. The sentiment is from the Stampin' Up! set, Kindness Matters, which has been stamped with Island Indigo. The whole shebang has been mounted onto some Tangerine Tango card stock.
I am entering this into the TGF Farm Fresh Challenge, to Case Rachels card and the colour challenge from the Play Date Cafe colour challenge.

Brayering with Stampin' Up! Inks for a Get Well Card

Hi guys, I had a lovely relaxing weekend at my parents house this past weekend, and I have a card to share with you, which I made up for a dear family friend who is awaiting surgery.
I did some brayering while at mums, and it was nice to get back into it, after not doing it for a few months. I used Pool Party, Tempting Turquoise and Island Indigo on Gloss Cardstock. Then, with some new stamps bought from Lincraft :) I stamped the grass (?) images in Staz On. The sentiment is one from mums stash cut out with my nestabilities and trimmed down and mounted on black cardstock. The patterned papers are Tempting Turquoise from Stampin' Up! It's a fairly basic card, but I like how it turned out.
I am entering this into the Freshly Made Sketches sketch. :)

Stampin' Up! Stampin' Write Markers and I colour some cute images for Birthday Cards

Hi guys, I do actually have a couple of cards to share with you... Are you surprised after seeing scrapbooking/beyond the page items? I kind of lost my card mojo for a little while, so focused on other things... Here is the first one for you
I made this one for my first full Design Team post, over at Inspirational Card Sketches which this week was to use a sketch from another site. So, my sketch comes from Pretty Patterns Sketch #41, which I turned on its side. The stamp is from Bugaboo Stamps, and is a digital stamp. I just printed him on Watercolour Paper and coloured it in with my Stampin' Write Markers. The patterned paper is from My Minds Eye, and the sentiment is from Grunge Rock from Stampin' Up! I am also entering this one into the Simon Says Stamp something New challenge, as this card was for my first design team sketch, and also the first time I've used a digital stamp on a card.

This second card is really cute too
Now this little guy is from The Greeting Farm, (isn't he adorable?) and he was coloured using my Stampin' Write Markers on watercolour paper. I cut him out and popped him on some white which was layered with Old Olive. The other colours in this card are Sahara Sand and Island Indigo. I also used the Square Lattice Embossing Folder on this and some more patterned paper from My Minds Eye. I'm not entirely satisfied with this card, I think it's because of that skewed piece behind the main image... it bothers me that it's not straight, but the challenge from Tuesday Morning Sketches called for a skewed back piece....  I am also using inspiration from Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger and entering this into the Ribbon Carousel Anything Goes Challenge (there's a touch of twine on this card)
Thanks for dropping by!

Stampin' Up! Snow Swirled and I create an Elegant Christmas Card

Hi guys, I'm back again with a Christmas Card to show you :)
This is a Basic Grey card base which has been layered with Island Indigo and piece of foil patterned paper from KaiserCraft. I then stamped the tree image from Snow Swirled on to a piece of white card in Island Indigo, and popped some rhinestones on top. The ribbon is actually Stampin' Up!'s Very Vanilla Seam Binding which I coloured using a little bit of silver Smooch Spritz. The sentiment is from the retired hostess set, The Best is Yet to Be.
I am entering this into two challenges, the first is the Freshly Made Sketches challenge. I have to be honest, I don't quite understand what they mean by clean cards, but no one has said anything about my cards not fitting the bill, so I'll continue to enter... If someone could clarify, that'd be awesome :) The second challenge I'm entering this into is the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger, I used the colours as inspiration, as well as the damask pattern on the dress...
Well, that's all from me... Now, it's bed time...
Good night, and Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Delicate Doilies and 2 Step Bird Punch create a Birthday Card

Hi Again!
I have a super bright birthday card to share with you today :)
This is a white card base, layered with pieces of Island Indigo, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry and Wild Wasabi. I stamped these pieces in VersaMark using Delicate Doilies and the Medallion Background stamp and then embossed them using white embossing powder. I then cut a piece of Marina Mist and layered a piece of white on top, I stamped the sentiment (from Upsy Daisy) and then using my 2 step bird punch, cut out the bird in the same colours as the background. A little bit of twine finishes off this card. I am entering this into the Card Patterns Sketch
Thanks for dropping by!
I have another card to show you, a much more CAS card, so be sure to come back a bit later :)
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Delicate Doilies and Newsprint Designer Series Paper decorate a 3D Letter

Ok, so I promised I'd be back with something different to show you, not just another card or scrapbook page.... and true to my word, here I am....
My mum gave me a Papier-mâché J for my birthday last year, for me to decorate, she knows me well :) But, it has been sitting on my shelf for almost a year looking at me, I couldn't decide what I wanted to do with it... So, the other day I painted it cream in preparation of doing "something" with it... Here is how it ended up
I laid the J down and drew around it on some Newsprint DSP (retired) and cut it out using a sharp pair of scissors. Once it was cut out, I stamped randomly the doilies from Delicate Doilies in Calypso Coral, Early Espresso, Pool Party and Island Indigo. I then covered the whole thing in a thin layer of Crystal Effects, using a paint brush to spread it. I set it aside to dry for around 3 hours. Once it was dry, I tied a piece of ribbon around the "stem" of the J. I am really happy with how this turned out, and it's taking pride of place on my display shelf :)
I am entering this in to the Wee Memories patterned paper challenge.
Thanks for dropping in :)
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Lovely as a Tree and I create a Christmas Card

I'm back, and I have a Christmas card to show you!
I started this card with the circle, cut with my Circle Scissors, stamped the tree line using Staz On and the Lovely as a Tree stamp, I then got my brayer out (which I'm slowly making friends with), and brayered Pool Party ink, followed by Island Indigo and Night of Navy. When that was done, I got my VersaMarker out, and used it to add 'snow' to the ground with white embossing powder. I then layered the circle onto a piece of Pool Party, stamped the sentiment from Snow Swirled and added Basic Rhinestones in the corners. I set that aside and moved onto my card base. I cut a Whisper White card base, and layered it with some Night of Navy card which I had run through the Bigshot with the Square Lattice embossing folder. I wrapped some Island Indigo Ruffled Ribbon around the Night of Navy, and tied a knot, before mounting the image panel using Dimensionals.
I am entering this into the Stamping 411 Sketch challenge, as it has been quite a while since I've entered one of their challenges :)
Thanks for dropping in,
Happy Stamping :)

Stampin' Up!'s newest In Colour Island Indigo is Divine!

Hi Guys, I have had a really bad week mojo wise, nothing is appealing to me, at all! I think it is because I've not been feeling 100% and that I've been really busy... Tonight, I needed to get into the craft room and create, I was going stir crazy! Here is the fairly clean and simple card I came up with
The image is from The Greeting Farm, I've had this little guys head coloured in for a few days, just nowhere to put him.. I coloured him using my Stampin' Write Markers and a blender pen. I stamped his body onto a piece of white and also two patterned papers from My Minds Eye, cut them out, and layered them on to the stamped image. The sentiment is from Just Believe, and has also been stamped using my Stampin' Write Marker, I selectively coloured the For You, and left the Just off this one. I layered the image panel onto Crumbcake, and mounted it on dimensionals to an Island Indigo card base. I threaded some retired Kiwi Kiss ribbon underneath the image and tied a bow.
I am entering this into three challenges, the first is a new one for me, the OWH Stars and Stamp Sketch challenge, which was surprisingly very similar to The Paper Players Sketch. I am also entering this into The Pink Elephant paper piecing challenge.
Thanks for dropping by,
Don't forget, that the new catalogue is launched very soon (Thursday) so, pop back then and have a looksee!
