From the Heart Stamps - Easter Card

Hiya! I've been busy creating, but not so busy photographing and blogging my creations (oops!)
I have had a couple of custom card orders, so have been busy completing those.
If there are any cards, you'd like custom made, for a special occasion, pop over to my Facebook page, and send me a message!
On to the first card for today -
For this card, I started with the bunny and girl image, from "From the Heart" stamps, printed her out, and coloured it up with my Spectrum Noir Markers. I die-cut the image, and set it aside, then built my card. I used patterned papers from a non-branded paper pad (from a discount store) and layered them up on Night of Navy, Stampin' Up card stock. I then doodled around the edges, and stamped a sentiment (from SU!) I then added a purple flower as well as a couple of buttons, a resin rose and some silver wire, which I'd wrapped around a pin, to give a curly effect.

Stampin' Up! Friendly Phrases and I create a just because card.

Hi guys! I'm back again with another card... At the moment, I'm trying to use more patterned papers on my cards, I have a whole bunch of the 6" x 6" paper pads from various companies, so I figured I should start using them! I also need to keep using the ribbons I've got, as I have a slight obsession in buying new ribbon from The Ribbon Carousel! Anyway, on to my card!
I've used a Baja Breeze card base, layered it with Confetti White card and a piece of Daffodil Delight (with a littl punched border of Baja Breeze) The patterned paper on this card is from My Minds Eye and I've cut it into one and a half inch squares, the spent ages lining them all up and glued them down. Before attaching the Daffodil Piece to the Confetti White piece, I added some Stampin' Up! Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon and tied a bow. The sentiment (from Friendly Phrases, Stampin' Up!) is stamped in Night of Navy, and is set off with 3 blue rhinestones.
I am entering this into the CardPatterns sketch challenge.

The Greeting Farm and Stampin' Up!'s Up Up and Away! create a Masculine Birthday card

Hi guys, we had a power outage for a little over an hour today, so, armed with a couple of challenges I'd written down earlier, and a bit of inspiration, I headed into the craft room....
So, this is a Basic Grey card base, which I have layered with papers from My Minds Eye and a piece of Always Artichoke Denim Ribbon (I think it looks more grey than artichoke) and the set aside the card base. I took my colours for this little guy from the patterned papers, and coloured him with Stampin' Write Markers and my Blender Pen (on watercolour paper), I then cut him out. I cut out a square of Whisper White, stamped the sentiment which is from Up Up and Away, and then layered it on to some Poppy Parade. I put a whole bucket load of dimensionals on the little guys back and stuck him on to the card base. The card looked a little unfinished, so I dug out 3 tiny red rhinestones and rounded the corners.
I am entering this into three challenges :) The first is the Anyone For Anya recipe challenge - 3 patterned papers, 2 embellishments (ribbon + rhinestones) and 1 image, next up is the sketch challenge from Card Patterns, it's been a little while since I played over there, but loved this sketch, and had to play. And finally, the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Challenge.

Stampin' Up! Because I Care, with Stampin' Write Markers

Hi guys,
I'm back again with a new card to show you :)
A very clean and simple, one layer card... makes me just a little happy.... I used Crumbcake base, stamped the hydrangea from Because I Care, which is a retired hostess set I didn't ink up nearly enough when it was current! I stamped the image and sentiment using Staz-On. I then got my Stampin' Write markers out in Bashful Blue, Marina Mist, Night of Navy, Certainly Celery, Wild Wasabi and Old Olive and coloured in the flower and leaves layering the colour from lightest to darkest. When the image was coloured, I went over some of the sections with my white gel pen to give a little bit of highlighting.
I am entering this into the OLW Challenge which is to make a one layer card using colouring in on your card. Thanks for dropping by!
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Lovely as a Tree and I create a Christmas Card

I'm back, and I have a Christmas card to show you!
I started this card with the circle, cut with my Circle Scissors, stamped the tree line using Staz On and the Lovely as a Tree stamp, I then got my brayer out (which I'm slowly making friends with), and brayered Pool Party ink, followed by Island Indigo and Night of Navy. When that was done, I got my VersaMarker out, and used it to add 'snow' to the ground with white embossing powder. I then layered the circle onto a piece of Pool Party, stamped the sentiment from Snow Swirled and added Basic Rhinestones in the corners. I set that aside and moved onto my card base. I cut a Whisper White card base, and layered it with some Night of Navy card which I had run through the Bigshot with the Square Lattice embossing folder. I wrapped some Island Indigo Ruffled Ribbon around the Night of Navy, and tied a knot, before mounting the image panel using Dimensionals.
I am entering this into the Stamping 411 Sketch challenge, as it has been quite a while since I've entered one of their challenges :)
Thanks for dropping in,
Happy Stamping :)

Stampin' Up! Morning Cup makes Thinking of You cards.

Hi guys, I'm back again... and this time it is another Clean and Simple Card
This is a Real Red card base with some Confetti White layered on top. I have stamped and embossed two images from Morning Cup in Black and then coloured them with my Stampin' Write Markers and a Blender Pen. I have used Real Red, Night of Navy and a touch of Sahara Sand. I have stamped the sentiment which is a KaiserCraft one in Night of Navy. To finish off this card, I used a touch of Crystal Effects on the heart.
This is being entered into the Less is More colour challenge, to use the colours of your national flag... of course, here in Australia, it is red, white and blue.

Thanks for dropping in
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Little Leaves, Scallop Roses and Tiny Tags for a Thank You Card

Hi, I made this card with someone special in mind. Someone who has done a lot for me over the past few (very) stressful days. So, here is the card
So, this is another Crumbcake base, which has been layered with Not Quite Navy, sponged around the edges in Night of Navy. I have sponged a background for the little girl (which was coloured with Stampin' Write markers and a blender pen) using So Saffron and a touch of Peach Parfait. I sponged a piece of card in green then sprayed it with water, after it was dry, I ran it through the Big Shot with the Little Leaves Sizzlet. I layered that on the side of my card on top of some Peach Parfait strips. I tied a piece of twine around the border, looped my Tiny Tag in it and tied a bow. I then made some Rolled Scallop Roses, which I have made a tutorial for here, I then stuck them on using some dimensionals.
I am entering this into The Sweetest Thing sketch challenge. I made it a rectangle card, as I don't work well with squares....
Thanks for dropping in!
Happy Stampin'!

Stampin' Up! Just Believe and Silhouette Sentiments create lovely Thank You cards

Hi guys! I have a quick card to share with you today, before I pop it in the mail to go to a special someone!
For this card, I have used Confetti White cardstock (my new go to card) I have masked a strip using post it notes, then with some sponges and my Stampin' Up! Inks, I have created this background. The colours are layered lightest to darkest, starting with Bashful Blue, then Baja Breeze, Pacific Point and a little bit of Night of Navy. While the masks were still in place, I stamped the leaf image from Just Believe in Basic Black, stamping off some of the images to get a fuller shrub line.... Once I'd done that, I peeled off the masks and stamped the bird from the hostess set Silhouette Sentiments in Staz On Black for a deeper black (sounds weird I know) and then I stamped the sentiment below the image panel. The sentiment is one of the cute ones from Just Believe. Now, I am going to write in this card, address it, and send it on its way.
I am entering this in to two challenges, the first being Just Add Ink's Inspiration Challenge (see below) and the Less is More One Layer "Legs" Challenge.
I know I've seen a card out there very similar to this one, but silly me forgot to bookmark it, so if this is very similar to a card you have made, I apologise, but I can't find out who it was now that I was going to mention I cased this from.
Until next time,
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Tree Trimmings and Shimmer Paint make very pretty Christmas Cards

Hi Guys! I run a stamp club on the Central Coast every second month, and next Wednesday is our next one. I really wanted to showcase a technique I learnt not that long ago. Faux Mother of Pearl, using Stampin' Up! Shimmer Paint. Also, I wanted one of the cards to be a Christmas in July card, to get my ladies starting to think about Christmas.... So, here is one of the cards we will be making at Stamp Club.
I have used a Whisper White base, then popped a piece of Baja Breeze through my Bigshot with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, once it was embossed, I rubbed a White Craft ink pad lightly over it, to highlight the embossing. The main image is Glossy White card which has had White Shimmer paint "splodged" (nice terminology?) on it. Once it was dry, I sponged some Baja Breeze on top, I didn't particularly like the colour, so went over it again with a light coat of Night of Navy sponging. I then stamped the ornaments from Tree Trimmings in Night of Navy and Pacific Point, drew their strings using a Black Stampin' Write Marker, and layered it onto the card base with some dimensionals. The sentiment is from Basic Phrases, stamped in Baja Breeze, cut out using the Modern Label punch and popped with more dimensionals.
I am entering this into The Paper Players Christmas in July Challenge, and hope the girls like this and the other cards we will be making :-)
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Awash with Flowers and I create a bright Birthday card.

I spent today celebrating with my house mate, as it was his 28th birthday, but after he went to bed (he has to work early tomorrow), I went into my craft room and had a play around. I found a great video online on awesome backgrounds here. Here is my take on this card
I have only used white cardstock for this card! The coloured panels are made using my Stampin' Up! Inks and some sponges.... I have used Tempting Turquoise and Night of Navy for the blue section, then the pink section is Melon Mambo, and a touch of Poppy Parade. I then stamped my flowers from Awash with Flowers on a separate piece of card and coloured them using my Stampin' Write Markers, in Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi and Certainly Celery. I have popped the leaves using dimensionals and the sentiment is from the retired set Whimsical Words. I am entering this into the Card Patterns Sketch Challenge...
Until next time,
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Tree Trimmings and I create a Christmas card in non-traditional colours!

Hello Again! I got this set from a fellow demonstrator not that long ago, and of course had to ink it up for some Christmas cards in July!
The base is Baja Breeze with Night of Navy Matting, then a piece of Whisper white with the ornaments stamped in Bashful Blue, Baja Breeze and Night of Navy.  I added some Crystal Effects and sprinked some silver glitter over the top. The sentiment is from Contempo Christmas, and is stamped in Baja Breeze.
I am entering this into the Less Is More Shades Of Blue Challenge. I'll be back a little later with the other card I created last night.

Stampin' Up! Sail Away and I create a Masculine Card

Hi All! Back again. This time with a masculine card to share. I started this card with something completely different in mind, but this is what eventuated...
This card is fairly basic.... Not Quite Navy card base, layered with Cherry Cobbler and a piece of Night of Navy, wrapped in some twine.... The I punched a few holes and added three mini silver brads. I stamped the Sail Away image in Basic Black and mounted it on the Cherry Cobbler piece. I have intentionally left a sentiment off of this card, as I couldn't decide what I wanted it to be....
I am entering this into two challenges, the first is the Stamping 411 Sketch, and the second is the Create, Ink! colour challenge.
Until next time!
Happy stamping!

Stampin' Up! Elements of Style and I create Monochromatic Birthday Cards

Hi Guys! I have been playing with Elements of Style again today. I absolutely love this stamp set, and can't believe I waited so long to get it!
I made this quite quickly, I masked off the plain area using some scrap paper, scored it using my Scor Pal and then stamped the base section using the flowers from Elements of Style. I have gone for a monochromatic colour scheme on this one, using Night of Navy. I have then stamped a sentiment from Well Scripted which is sadly retired. I have then stamped the hummingbird from Elements of style in Bashful  Blue, this has been cut out using the Decorative Label Punch in Night of Navy and Very Vanilla. I have popped some Night of Navy Ribbon on the card and tied a bow with some non- Stampin' Up! Seam Binding, and three little pearls in the bottom right hand corner finish this card off.
I am entering this into two different challenges, the first is the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger, and the second is Card Patterns Sketch 117.

Until Next Time, Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Sense Of Time makes Wonderful Male Cards

I have been patiently waiting Kim uploading the cards from our craft day last week, but now that she has started, I want to show you some of the cards I made. We found we work best issuing colour or stamp challenges to each other, as we both have a similar card style... It is always really interesting to see the differences in card while using the exact same ingredients... well, here is my card
The colour challenge for this one was Early Espresso, Night of Navy, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede. I have used the Sense of Time stamp and the sentiment is from Well Scripted. The ribbon is non-su, and the shape next to the clock, is a not yet released SU! item... come back on the 1st to find out the details on it...
Check out Kim's version of this colour combo/stamp set here
Don't forget, that you only have 16 days to get your hands on the beautiful Well Scripted set, for more info, call me on 0405 173 237 or send me an email
