Stampin' Up! Elements of Style

Well, it's the start of another month in the Feeling Sketchy Calendar, which means we've got a new sponsor! This one is definitely one of my favourite stores (I'm sure I say that every month!) You've probably seen me link to this store a bit recently.... D-Lish Scraps! These guys have some of the yummiest scrapbooking / cardmaking embellishments out there, and they are über cheap! Head on over and take a peek! (You can blame me when you become addicted!)
Now, on to this weeks sketch, a clean and simple offering from Annmaree -
As always, this can be rotated, and the oval switched out for another shape, just make sure we can see the sketch in there... Here is my card -
I dug out a bunch of Stampin' Up! Stuff for this card! I used my Polka Dot embossing folder, as well as my new loved Fancy Fan embossing folder, I used Elements of Style and my Spectrum Noir markers to colour in the flower image. The sentiment is from A Word for You Stampin' Up! stamp set as well. I die cut the main image panel using my nestabilities, and drew a border using a fine tip pen. The card used in this is Pink Pirouette and Certainly Celery. I added some stickles to some of the flowers, which you can see below.
Thanks for popping by! I hope you find time to play this week at Feeling Sketchy!

Stampin' Up! Elements of Style and I create a Birthday Card

Hi Guys! Today I had a wonderful crafty day, with the girls from my stamp club, we all got inky and made up some cute frames, and a matching card.... I forgot to take a photo of my frame before I gave it to my sister, and I will save the card to show later.... I have a different card to show you today :)
I used a Basic Grey card base, which I layered with Wisteria Wonder and a piece of Very Vanilla. The Vanilla card has been masked with some post it notes, and stamped with the floral image from Elements of Style and coloured using the Wisteria Wonder, and Lucky Limeade ink pads. I then drew some thin lines using the pen tip of the Basic Grey Stampin' Write Marker and a ruler. The sentiment is from an unknown stamp set, and was stamped using Lucky Limeade. The hummingbird was stamped a few times on the vanilla, with out re-inking to get a faded appearance, then I stamped one separately and cut it out and attached it using dimensionals. I added a few rhinestones, and finished off this card.
I am entering this into two challenges, the first is the Freshly Made Sketches challenge, and next up, the CR84FN colour challenge
Thanks for popping by :)

Stampin' Up! Curly Cute and Elements of Style paired to make a Birthday Card

Hi Guys, I had a good weekend just gone, with Stamp Club on, and getting to spend time at home not doing much, I finished reading another good book too :) I did make a couple of cards last night before bed, here is the first
So, this is a Crumbcake base, which has been layered with Sahara Sand, and Very Vanilla. The vanilla piece has been stamped with the Elements of Style rose branch in Sahara Sand and the sentiment from Curly Cute in Crumbcake. After attaching the image panel, I tied some Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon around the card, and tied a bow. I cut out the little leaves using the Big Shot and some scrap Old Olive card and attached it. I made some rolled scallop roses from Wisteria Wonder and attached them to the leaf. I'm really pleased with how this card came out... :)
I am entering this into four challenges, the first is the sketch from Stamping 411, which I have flipped the embellishment to the other side, next up is the Embellish Magazine colour challenge, to be paired with Die Cuts, next up is the Wee Memories Brads, Buttons OR Bows challenge and finally Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes
Thanks for dropping by,
And don't forget, I have Blog Candy on offer here
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Elements of Style and I create Monochromatic Birthday Cards

Hi Guys! I have been playing with Elements of Style again today. I absolutely love this stamp set, and can't believe I waited so long to get it!
I made this quite quickly, I masked off the plain area using some scrap paper, scored it using my Scor Pal and then stamped the base section using the flowers from Elements of Style. I have gone for a monochromatic colour scheme on this one, using Night of Navy. I have then stamped a sentiment from Well Scripted which is sadly retired. I have then stamped the hummingbird from Elements of style in Bashful  Blue, this has been cut out using the Decorative Label Punch in Night of Navy and Very Vanilla. I have popped some Night of Navy Ribbon on the card and tied a bow with some non- Stampin' Up! Seam Binding, and three little pearls in the bottom right hand corner finish this card off.
I am entering this into two different challenges, the first is the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger, and the second is Card Patterns Sketch 117.

Until Next Time, Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Elements of Style makes elegant Birthday Cards

I told you I'd be back! I got a Stampin' Up! order in the mail this morning, and in it was a stamp set I have had on my wish list for a while, but seriously had to get after my Upline held a class using it! I bought Elements of Style, and this is the first card I inked it up for....
This is a 5" square Whisper White card, which is layered with an embossed piece of Whisper White, using the Big Shot, and the Vintage Wallpaper Impressions Folder, I have lightly sprayed it with some Glimmer Mist, but I don't think it is visible in this picture. I have stamped the flowers in Staz On Black and coloured with my Stampin' Write Markers, Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery and Wild Wasabi. I have then sponged the square with Bashful Blue, and Baja Breeze. The sentiment is from Upsy Daisy, and fits well in the corner.
I am entering this into the Less is More Sketch Challenge, while the proportions are off, I think it still fits in with the sketch. I am also entering this into The Paper Players Anything Goes challenge.
I have another card to show you, using this same set, but a completely different outcome! So, come back in a few hours, to see it
Until then....
Happy Stamping!
