Some Odd Girl - Hey Kaylee and I create a "Hello" Card

Hi guys! Not that long ago, Some Odd Girls held a blog hop for their newest releases, and I was lucky enough to win a prize! I won this lovely stamp set
Isn't it just the cutest stamp set ever? Well... I finally had a chance to ink her up this evening... and created this card
A Crumbcake (Kraft) card base layered with patterned paper from My Minds Eye, Wisteria Wonder card stock which I have run through the Big Shot with an embossing folder, and another piece of Crumbcake which I have wrapped some thin Calypso Coral ribbon around and made a multi-looped bow with a brad securing them together. The Kaylee looks incredibly pale in this photo, but I will try to get a better one in the sunshine tomorrow, she was coloured with my Stampin Write Markers.
I am entering this in to the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week, which is the sketch below flipped to make a vertical card...

The Greeting Farm New Parents and Stampin' Up! Sincere Salutations and I create a Birthday Card

Hi guys! I'm back again today to show you a card that I made up :)
I used a Basic Gray card base and layered it with Calypso Coral and some patterned paper from KaiserCraft
and some twine with a random button from my stash. The Lil guy is the dad from The Greeting Farm's New Parents stamp set, and has been coloured using my Stampin' Write Markers on watercolour paper. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up!'s Sincere Salutations and has been stamped in VersaMark and heat embossed using white embossing powder. The Brads are from Stampin' Up!'s Sale-a-bration freebies :)
I am entering this into two challenges, the first is the Colour Q challenge, which included the retired colour Dusty Durango, which is a colour I don't have so, I tried matching it with the closest that is a current colour.... Next up is the Cardabilities Sketch, which I have put a bit of a spin on.
Thanks for popping by!

My Minds Eye Paper Pad paired with some pretty roses and Coral Ribbon and I create a Birthday Card

Hi guys! I created this card last night, and because it was getting super late, decided I'd post it today... I got distracted, but here it is!
I started off going through the My Minds Eye papers, trying to decide which one I wanted to use. I settled on this one, as I was also keen to use some scrap card I had left over from a workshop I did. The card base is Stampin' Up! Always Artichoke and layered the paper down on top. I then used some gorgeous 5/8" Coral Satin Grosgrain Double Band Ribbon from The Ribbon Carousel, as luck would have it, it matched perfectly to the flowers on the My Minds Eye paper! I then cut out a Spellbinders Nestabilities Label in Always Artichoke and a Oval in Whisper White. The sentiment is one from an unnamed stamp I bought a while back, that hasn't seen nearly enough love, and was stamped in Stampin' Up!'s Calypso Coral. I added three little white roses (which are from D-Lish Scraps
I am entering this into the Ribbon Carousel Anything Goes challenge and the Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge, which I followed fairly loosely. I couldn't get the 'tickets' to work for me, so I omitted them from my design...
Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration Sneak Peek Everyday Enchantments and Friendly Phrases

Hi guys! I have a couple of cute projects to share with you today. First up is a desk calendar
And, there is a matching card! This is super unlike me, I don't usually make anything so matchy matchy...
So, these are made with the same "ingredients", Poppy Parade card bases, Everyday Enchantments Designer Series Paper (A sneak peek at Sale-a-bration 2012!), Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon, Beautiful Wings Embossolits and the stamp set I used is Friendly Phrases. The designer series paper is absolutely to die for! I looked at it in the Sale-a-bration catalogue, and I didn't particularly like it, the colours seemed a bit weird together, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, Peach Parfait, Calypso Coral, Poppy Parade, Very Vanilla and Soft Suede. But, when I saw it in real life, it exceeded my expectations!
So, how do you get the Everyday Enchantments Designer Series Paper? Well, just spend $100 between the 24th January 2012 - 31st March 2012, and you can receive it for free! It is limited release, so once Sale-a-bration is over, it's gone for good! So, get out your wishlists, and let me know if there is anything I can help you with!

Stampin' Up! Tree Trimmings and I make a non-traditional Christmas Card.

I know I'm not the only person who isn't a big fan of red and green Christmas cards (not that you can tell from my previous card :) ), So, this card isn't a big surprise for me, but I love the colour combo, and can see myself using it again...
This is a Confetti White card base, which has been layered with a piece of Wisteria Wonder which I have run through the Big Shot with a non Stampin' Up! Embossing folder (it's hard to see in this picture, but it's all flourish-y in real life) I have then layered some Sahara Sand card on top, with a piece of Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon. The main image panel is again Confetti White, which I have stamped the ornaments on from Tree Trimmings in Wisteria Wonder, Calypso Coral and Sahara Sand, the strings are stamped in Early Espresso and have been lined up using my Stamp-a-majig. The sentiment is from the retired hostess set, The best is yet to be. I have then popped some rhinestones on the corner of the Wisteria Wonder piece and rounded the corners.
I am entering this into three challenges, the first is the sketch from Stampin' Royalty, which while my proportions are off, this is the sketch I tried to stick to...  The second challenge is the Wee Memories theme challenge of Holidays, and lastly the Moxie Fab World Texture challenge.
Thanks for popping in!
Happy Stamping.

Stampin' Up! Delicate Doilies and Newsprint Designer Series Paper decorate a 3D Letter

Ok, so I promised I'd be back with something different to show you, not just another card or scrapbook page.... and true to my word, here I am....
My mum gave me a Papier-mâché J for my birthday last year, for me to decorate, she knows me well :) But, it has been sitting on my shelf for almost a year looking at me, I couldn't decide what I wanted to do with it... So, the other day I painted it cream in preparation of doing "something" with it... Here is how it ended up
I laid the J down and drew around it on some Newsprint DSP (retired) and cut it out using a sharp pair of scissors. Once it was cut out, I stamped randomly the doilies from Delicate Doilies in Calypso Coral, Early Espresso, Pool Party and Island Indigo. I then covered the whole thing in a thin layer of Crystal Effects, using a paint brush to spread it. I set it aside to dry for around 3 hours. Once it was dry, I tied a piece of ribbon around the "stem" of the J. I am really happy with how this turned out, and it's taking pride of place on my display shelf :)
I am entering this in to the Wee Memories patterned paper challenge.
Thanks for dropping in :)

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Wings Embossolit and Curly Cute make a Birthday card!

Hi guys, I've had quite a crafty day, I have this card to show you, plus a 3D item, but it can wait till tomorrow :)
Another fairly basic card here, a Very Vanilla card base layered with some gorgeous My Minds Eye patterned paper. I cut out some butterflies in Calypso Coral, Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz and layered them on a second piece of Very Vanilla. I stamped the sentiment, which is from Curly Cute, in Calypso Coral and tied some non- Stampin' Up! ribbon around the base, I then cut out a scallop border in Pear Pizzazz and Calypso Coral and using Dimensionals, attached this to the card base. I finished this off with a few stick on diamantes.
I am entering this into two challenges, the first is from the CardPatterns sketch, instead of the fourth element, I stamped my sentiment. The second challenge is the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger, I was inspired by the colours, and the wooden board.
Thanks for dropping by!
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Delicate Doilies makes a Thank You card

Hi guys, I had a bit of time to spare this evening, so decided I really needed to get my mojo back, and get back into my craft room... Here is the card I made
Ok, so this card is almost completely Stampin' Up! Everything but that adorable lil girl.... she's from My Favourite Things and a small strip of patterned paper, which is almost a perfect match for Calypso Coral, it is from My Minds Eye. The card base is New In Colour, Wisteria Wonder, layered with some Pear Pizzazz and some Calypso Coral and patterned paper. I stamped the doily on a piece of Whisper White, in Pear Pizzazz and Poppy Parade, then set it aside. I stamped the little girl on Watercolour paper in Staz-on and then coloured her using my blender pens and ink pads, in Poppy Parade, Wisteria Wonder, Daffodil Delight, So Saffron and Blushing Bride. Once I'd finished colouring her, I cut her out and stuck her on the whisper white piece with a sentiment (from Just Believe) peeking out from behind her. To finish off this card, I used some Calypso Coral Ruffled ribbon and also added a cute scallop rolled rose  and a leaf from the 2 Step Bird Punch.
I took inspiration from two challenges, the first was the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches, which was a great sketch this week (see below), and the second was the ColourQ Challenge, which I don't participate in weekly, but try to have a play when I am inspired :)
Ok, that's all from me tonight,
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Trendy Trees and I create a Thank You card

Well, it is my last week of being a guest designer over at Just Add Ink, and I just want to say a massive Thank You to the wonderful ladies over there! This weeks theme is Just Add - Something that has been in your stash for ages without use... I decided on the Trendy Trees stamp set, which hasn't seen much ink lately...
I started off with a piece of white card stock, brayered So Saffron, Peach Parfait, Calypso Coral (new in colour), Real Red and a teensie bit of Cherry Cobbler. I then sponged some hills using Lucky Limeade (new in colour) I stamped the tree and sentiment (both from Trendy Trees) in black and sponged some Old Olive underneath for shadows... I layered the image panel on Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla, and mounted it on Lucky Limeade card base, I finished it off with some vanilla ribbon that has been in my stash since I first started card making!
Be sure to head over to Just Add Ink, and check out what the other designers have created!
Happy Stamping!
