Cornish Heritage - Kitty Stamp Thank You Card

Hi Guys! Back today with another card from the Tuesday... This one is a card especially for my little sister ("Hi Beck") and in a way for my Dutch cousin Joan, who really wanted to see some cat cards on my blog...  I have avoided doing anything with cats for a couple of reasons, but the big one recently is, Mark took the cats when he moved out, so apart from seeing their adorable faces on the fridge door as magnets, I don't get to see them anymore. When he moved, this was one of the toughest things for me. The kitties were definitely my babies, but I know they are being loved, and looked after at least... On with the card hey?
My dear friend Annmaree sent me this image last week, and it was actually the first time I've coloured an animal stamp (in a very long time at least) I used my Stampin' Write Markers on watercolour paper, and a blender pen. I then cut the main image out using my spellbinders nestie Ovals and a Nestie Label 4 in Soft Suede. I stamped my woodgrain stamp on the Bashful Blue base and Soft Suede label in coordinating ink. I then wrapped some Moss Green Seam Binding ribbon around the blue base and tied a big bow. I layered it all onto a Crumbcake base and added three Blush Blossom Mini Rolled Roses  and a sentiment in Soft Suede to finish it all off.
I am entering this into two challenges, the first is the sketch over at Tuesday Morning Sketches which grabbed me as soon as I saw it. I think its the ribbon treatment to be honest, I love that it frames the card nicely... Next up is the Fancy Flowers challenge at the Ribbon Carousel.

Thanks for popping by :)

C.C. Designs paired with Kaisercraft Hummingbird Collection creates a Summery For You card

Hi Hi! I had the house to myself again tonnight, so, I got to do my favourite thing in peace... Craft! I also went to Spotlight today, and came back with the Kaisercraft Hummingbird 6.5"x6.5" paper pad, which I had to use straight away! So, here is one of my efforts:
This is a Poppy Parade card base, layered with some Hummingbird paper (the red pieces are foiled, and oh so shiny!) I coloured this C.C. Designs Honey - Summer using my Stampin' Write Markers and then fussy cut her out and popped her on a distress inked circle. I placed the diecut circle on a pretty white doily and wrapped some red and white bakers twine around with a tag that says 4 you.
I am entering this into two challenges, the Anyone For Anya Sketch challenge and the Ribbon Carousel Twine challenge

Stampin' Up! Fresh Vintage and Friends Never Fade

Hey Hey! (I recently went back through a bunch of my posts, and realised most of them start with "Hi There", so changing it up a bit!) I have a quick layered card to share today! I rarely use more than two or three layers on my cards, so this one was a bit of a deviation for me! Including the ribbon, there is 10 (!) layers on this card!!
.
I started off with a Crumbcake base, layered with Blushing Bride and then some heavily stamped Vanilla. I stamped it with the flower image from Sale-a-bration set Fresh Vintage, and the En Francais Background stamp in Crumbcake and sponged the edges. Next I cut out a scallop circle in Crumbcake, and a Circle Nestie in Very Vanilla, which got the same treatment as the background. I added two layers of ribbon, the bottom layer is the Ribbon Carousel's Vintage Seam Binding ribbon in Leather Tan, and some pretty pink ruffled ribbon. The next layers are the image/sentiment which is from Friends Never Fade, and has been stamped in Wild Wasabi and layered on to Vanilla and then Crumbcake, this was popped on with a bunch of dimensionals. I added three paper roses in pink and three pearls to finish off this card.
I am entering this into three challenges, the first is the sketch over at The Ribbon Carousel, next is the Tuesday Trigger from Moxie Fab World and finally, the Bit O'Green challenge at Simon Says Stamp challenge blog.

We're about half way until my blog candy is drawn, so do get in before the 31st :)

The Greeting Farm and I create a 'Sweet' Card

Hi Guys! I had a pretty terrible day, with some bad health news. So, to take my mind off it for a little while, I sat and created a card to share with you all.
This is a Crumbcake/Kraft card base, which I have layered with Pink Pirouette card stock and some patterned paper. I wrapped some white lace and some lovely 5/8" Light Pink Sheer Ruffled Edge Ribbon, from the Ribbon Carousel, then I coloured my Greeting Farm image with Stampin' Write Markers and a Blender Pen. I cut out a Spellbinder Nestabilities and sponged it lightly with Blushing Bride Ink, stamp the sentiment and made up a swirl of diamante.
I am entering this into 3 challenges, the first is the Anyone For Anya Treats challenge, I went for something 'sweet' (with the sentiment). Next up, is The Stamp Spot Sketch challenge, and finally the Friday Mashup Inspiration photo.
Thanks for popping by!

Stampin' Up! Delicate Doilies and I create a card for a friend

I've been a little bit quiet again, but it's not for lack of creating, I assure you! I actually got my sewing machine out last night (replaced the needle) and sat down and did some sewing. It is the first time since I was in high school I've sewn anything other than paper! But, before I did that, I made a card. I've been longing to get back into my clean and simple cards, lately everything I make has had lots of layers, and stuff on it..... this one has big open white space... *sigh* "I'm home!"
It is a Very Vanilla card base, layered with Pink Pirouette and another piece of Very Vanilla, which has been stamped with the doilies from Delicate Doilies in Blushing Bride, So Saffron and Crumbcake. I then stamped the sentiment from Hello You in Crumbcajke and added three little pearls.
I am entering this into three challenges, the first is the sketch from Less is More, which was a super fun one, and one I will use again, I'm sure.... Next up is the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger, Winter Blossoms, which inspired me with the colours and the shapes and overlapping flowers, finally the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes challenge

Thanks for dropping around :)

Stampin' Up! I {heart} Hearts and Basic Phrases make Anniversary Cards

Hi again! Sorry it has been quiet around here again, it is peak uni assignment season, so I have spent my time doing my assignment.... This evening as a reward for getting more than half way through my Japanese assignment, I spent sometime in the craft room...
This is a Very Vanilla card base, layered with some KaiserCraft flocked paper (beautiful) I have then wrapped some pink satin ribbon around the patterned paper. I stamped three hearts from I {Heart} Hearts on some scrap Vanilla, in Daffodil Delight and Blushing Bride. I stamped the sentiment from Basic Phrases (which is retiring in 7 days!) in Basic Black and then stuck down the hearts, the Blushing Bride heart has had a  touch of dimension added, using a pop-dot. The image panel was mounted on a Blushing Bride piece, slightly bigger, and then it was all adhered to the front of the card.
I am entering this into two challenges, the first is The Paper Players sketch, which is quite a clean and simple one, but in my take, the white space element has been covered in patterned paper. The second is the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger, which I have used the bold pattern on the floor as my inspiration, as well as the pink and yellow touches.
Anyway, thanks for dropping by!
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Artistic Etchings paired with Upsy Daisy and I create a Thinking of You card.

Evening! I crafted last night after going to my little sisters house to celebrate her birthday (she's not so little any more, at 20....) It was a lot of fun, and I came home a little tipsy and with some inspiration... Here is the card I made
This is a Crumbcake card base which has a piece of Blushing Bride which I have run through the Big Shot using the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. Once it was embossed, I swiped some white ink over the top to make it stand out. I then embossed a piece of Crumbcake using the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, and it too got the white ink treatment. I stamped the Eiffel Tower from Artistic Etchings in Crumbcake and the sentiment from Upsy Daisy in Basic Grey, I then sponged Crumbcake along the edges and mounted it on Blushing Bride and some scallop border punched Basic Grey. To finish this card off with a piece of pink ribbon that was in my stash.
I am entering this into two challenges, the first is the Inkspirations Sketch challenge (below) and The Lollipop Ladies Embossed Cupcake challenge, I used the colours and embossing as my inspiration.
Thanks for dropping by :)
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Morning Cup and I create a cute spinner card!

I made this card last night, before bed, but due to giving it to someone who reads this blog, I couldn't show it until I knew she had it in her hands!
I have used the Stampin' Up! Morning Cup Stamp set, and masking to have one cup 'sit behind' the other. I have coloured these using my Stampin' Write Markers, and stuck two identical circles together with a piece of twine between them. This gives you my spinner. I have then stamped tone on tone a coffee bean onto some Blushing Bride and stamped the "Perk Up!" sentiment in Staz On. I then punched a scallop circle out of the Blushing Bride and Whisper White Card and layered the Blushing Bride onto the card base with the string from the spinner underneath.
I have given this card to a good friend who has been a bit down lately, and hopefully it has brightened her day considerably!
I am entering this into two new challenges (for me anyway). The first is the Dream Valley Challenge- Stamp Something, and the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - CAS.
I'll be back in a little while to show you the two cards I created today :-)

Stampin' Up! Awash With Flowers and Strength & Hope make very pretty Mothers Day Cards

Hi all,
Just a quick one before I duck out to work...
This card was made using a couple of different stamp sets, Awash With Flowers, and the new Strength & Hope stamp set. I have used some pastel colours with So Saffron, Certainly Celery, and Blush Bride, which I have paired with Very Vanilla. The back ground stamp is from Strength & Hope, and I have just stamped it tone on tone. The flower is from Awash with flowers, and I have stamped it in Black ink and coloured it with my Stampin' Write Markers.
I am entering this into a few challenges:
Moxie Fab World - Tuesday Trigger
Simon Says Stamp- Embossing
The Sweetest Thing - Sweet Sunday Sketch
Stampin' Up! Only - Mother's Day Cards
Just a reminder... $2 AUD/NZD from the purchase of the Strength & Hope stamp set goes to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation!  If you would like to order this, or anything else, just click here to send me a message, or call me on 0405 173 237
Thanks, and as always,
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Easter Blooms is makes Beautiful Easter and Mothers Day Cards

I have to admit, when I first saw this stamp set... I really wanted to dislike it... I didn't think I'd be able to make anything from it.... anything I liked anyway.... But.....After Kim brought it to our play day last week (are you sick of hearing about the wonderful Kim yet?) I also admit to loving this stamp set....

For the first one, the colour combo was Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White.... The second we made yesterday over a catch up coffee.... Its colours were Early Espresso, Not Quite Navy, Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz. On both cards, I used a soon to be released item (check back 1st of April) for more info. On the second card, I used a recently acquired tool, an Aqua Painter. I love this, and will definitely be using it again... It does take a bit of practice... but, it's a lot of fun!
I am a bit disappointed I didn't discover how much I like this set earlier! I will be buying it before the mini ends on the 31st of March, and if it is something you like, and would like to order before then, give me a call 0405 173 237, or shoot me an email on jessidee86@gmail.com

Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration Sweet Summer and I create a Mothers Day Card

Hi all, I'm back again with another card from my play day with Kim, this time, I cracked out the sale-a-bration set, Sweet Summer, and had a play. I have only just received this set, and I love it!
I coloured the little blossoms with my Stampin' Write Markers, added a thin strip of Blushing bride and white satin ribbon, stamped a mothers day sentiment, and called it done.... I am entering this into the Less is More challenge, which was Pastels this week. I think it fits the bill....  Unfortunately, I was too late to upload it... so, I will just leave it....
Don't forget, you have under 3 weeks to get your hands on this stamp set for free! Just click here to find out more.
Thanks for looking, and happy stamping!

Stampin' Up Sale-a-bration Stamp set Bliss

Recently, I have started doing more and more clean and simple cards, so the discovery of the Less is More challenge has been a god-send! I love clean and simple stamping, and with the Mothers Day cards for the Troops drive, the simpler the better, as I can set up a production line to create the maximum amount of cards in the smallest amount of time as possible...
I created another two this evening using the Less is More latest challenge, which is a theme challenge - SPRING. Spring to me is new flowers, and Mothers Day. These cards use the Sale-a-bration stamp set Bliss, which has to be my favourite Sale-a-bration set. I love the butterfly and damask in the set, but this is the first time I've used this little flower. It reminds me of a cherry blossom, especially the lighter of the two....
I will be participating in this challenge again, I'm sure.. So, head over, and have a look at the other entries (there are some amazing artists participating in these challenges!)
Happy Stamping Guys!

Welcome Baby!

Hi all!
I woke up feel good this morning, and after a quick browse on the internets, I decided I would make a card!
This card fulfils two challenges (gotta catch up somehow!) The first being the colourQ challenge, which for once was a major struggle, which is weird.... coz its pink.....
I usually struggle a lot to use pink, but this card came together fairly easily.... maybe it was the sketch I used from Clean and Simple Sketches?
I'm not sure what it is, but if it means I produce a card I'm really happy with, then I don't want to question it....
Thanks for checking in....
Have fun and happy stamping...

Exploding Purse Gift Bag

Hi all!
I found a wonderful tutorial online tonight, and thought I'd use it to make something! I'm thinking of filling it with some small sized bottles of moisturiser, or something, and sending it to some one special!

I used the colours from the Colour Q Challenge,  but once again, there was a retired colour that I don't have, so I substituted with Regal Rose, I don't think it looks right... but it was the closest I had....
Anyway, thanks for looking! I hope there aren't many more pink colour challenges! Kids colours would be awesome!

Amour Card

I know I said I hate pink, but it seems to be the colour I'm reaching for at the moment! This is another pink card.... I had a look at my front page of my blog, and there quite a few pink cards on there at the moment!

This one was inspired by the Inkspirations Sketch challenge, which was one I struggle a little with... but I do adore the concept and look of...
This is also going to be entered in to Stamping Vacations Occasions Oasis Challenge - Valentine. I don't know where the sudden onset of Valentines cards have come from.... But, I can't complain... just so long as I'm crafting hey?
All products used in this card are Stampin' Up!
Stamp Set: Artistic Etching
Inks: Melon Mambo, Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride, Soft Suede
Card Stock: Regal Rose, Blushing Bride, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla.
Other: Newsprint DSP, Basic Rhinestones, Circle Scissors and Dimensionals

JAI 52

A quick share with you today!

This card came together really easily after I knew what I wanted to use. The sketch was one that was taunting me.... So, I had to participate. The Just Add Ink sketch seemed to be a lot harder than it actually was to pull together...

I knew I wanted to use the colour combo of Perfect Plum, Very Vanilla and Crumbcake, so the card took off from there, with the addition of some non-SU ribbon and a Blushing Bride sentiment. I'm pleased with how this card came out, not my usual colours, but something that came out of left field and bowled me over.... (enough sports metaphors?)
Come back during the week, to enter my blog candy that is coming up to celebrate the beginning of Sale A Bration, and my 300th Blog Post!
Jess

Owls Everywhere

Just dropping by to share a quick card before heading to bed... It has been an epically long week.
Are you at all surprised that the owls made a triumphant return? I'm not... I love this punch, and it's little surprise, when it is so versatile and easy to use! I have quickly become addicted to this little guy!
This card is for two challenges, the first being the Stamping 411 Saturday Sketch, and also the Inkspiration colour challenge.
The colour combo was completely out of my comfort zone, but I adore how my card came out....
Thanks for looking, and make sure you pop back through the week to have a chance at some blog candy!

Silhouette Sentiments Card

Hi all!.
Last night after the disaster of a card, I tried to sleep, but couldn't so, I got back up and had another play with my craft stuff. By this stage, the newest ColourQ Challenge had gone up....
What a doozy.... I cringed when I saw more melon mambo with tangerine tango.... my dislike of pink and orange is quite strong! Anyway, I've been looking at different ways to use the hostess set, Silhouette Sentiments, as I feel it doesn't get used enough.... So, I went to SplitCoastStampers and had a look around. I found this card by Laurie, which just has an absolute Wow! factor to it....
So, I cased it.... fairly blatantly too....
Here is my CASE of Laurie's card -
I love how this card turned out! I also have another card to show you, which I was asked to make by a friend. She needed a baby girl card, that included butterflies.... So, I Cased one of my cards from earlier, and remade it in pinks and purples.
Anyway, that is all I have to show you on the card front.
I want to leave this link here for you guys in case you were wondering what you can do to help the victims of the QLD flooding. I have donated a small amount, but every little bit counts I guess. So, head on over to the QLD government website, and donate as much as you can, to help the people of Queensland out....
