Some Odd Girl - New Baby Cards

Hi guys, I have had to focus on creating some cards for my stores this week (etsy and madeit) So, I decided I needed to restock some of my new baby cards!
I started by colouring up the Baby Kaylee digital stamp twice, almost exactly the same, using my Spectrum Noir Markers, the only thing I changed was the baby blanket. I then doodled around the edges and die cut them into a circle. I grabbed patterned papers from American Craft for both cards and doodled around the edges, both cards also got a die cut doily border. I stamped the sentiments (from Simon Says Stamp) and added some ribbon to both cards.

The Greeting Farm - New Baby Card

Hi Again Guys,
I've been quiet again recently, nothing seems to be inspiring me... My mojo has gone walkabouts (again), so I've really struggled to create anything.
I did make this card last week though -

For this card, I dug out my very first The Greeting Farm stamp, and coloured her up, using my Spectrum Noir Markers. Once I'd coloured her, I grabbed some scrap papers from my stash (I believe the yellow is Echo Park, and the argyle one is October Afternoon. I layered everything up, doodled around the edges and stamped the sentiment (Hero Arts). I then added some wooden hearts, from Freckled Fawn.

New Baby Boy Card - Some Odd Girl

Hi again! I've been busy, setting up a secondary store, to try and get my little brand (JessideeHandmade) to go international! I've been setting up, and stocking a store over on Etsy, as well as keeping my madeit store puttering along!
Anyway, I have another new baby card to share today!
For this card, I started by selecting my papers, I wanted something bright, vibrant and fun for a new baby boy card. I then grabbed my digital images that I've had printed for a couple of weeks, and set to colouring up this Some Odd Girl digi. Usually, I leave her legs skin tone, and assume she's wearing a really short dress, this time, I gave her denim jeans.. I fussy cut her out, and set her aside, to build my card... I used patterned paper from Echo Park, as well as one from an unknown paper pad (it was given to me by a friend) I die cut some shapes, including the circle, pennants and scallop circle. I attached them all (with my usual doodling) and then focused on the sentiment, which I made using a wooden embellishment and a tiny tag, from the Stampin' Up! set Tiny Tags. I added a Freckled Fawn resin star, and a couple of sequins.

Hi again! I'm slowly restocking my shop, so pop by for a look ;)
Today, I have a new baby card to share...
For this one, I printed a Redonkadoodles digital stamp out, and coloured her, using my spectrum noir markers, I then fussy cut her out. I used patterned papers from American Craft (My Girl) and Sn@p for the background, doodled around the edges and stamped the sentiment (SU!) I added a bow, two sequins and a rhinestone

Saturated Canary - Baby Girl Card

Hi Again!
I've had a fairly relaxing weekend, before work this week being super full on! I have also been kept busy with the journals in my store, going a bit nuts, in the lead up to Christmas! I have made a couple of new baby cards too... This one below has been added to my store recently too!
I started by picking out my patterned papers, which in this case are from American Crafts, and then grabbed my digital stamp, from Saturated Canary, and coloured her up. I used my spectrum noir markers, and then die-cut her out. I doodled around the borders, and added a sentiment from Stampin' Up, and added some really pretty lace, from Kaszazz.

Some Odd Girl - New Baby Boy Card

Super quick post here, as I share a card I made yesterday!
I had a very full on weekend this one, just past! I celebrated my 27th Birthday, went out for dinner, drinks and dancing with friends. I had an amazing time, getting all dressed up, and hitting the town! I will have photos to scrapbook in the coming weeks, I'm sure!
Anyway, on to the card  -
I started by grabbing some papers that have been in my stash for an absolute age! I then coloured up my Some Odd Girl digi stamp, using my Spectrum Noir Markers, and then trimmed her out. I stamped the hands from a Stampin' Up! Set - Baby Prints, and the sentiment is from SU - A word for you, I embossed it in silver, and doodled around the card, and patterned papers, using a silver pen.

Redonkulous Digital Stamps - New Baby Card

Heya, I've been lame at posting on my blog lately... Again...
I did get around to creating yesterday, so, made up another baby card!
I started off by printing out the new mum digital stamp, from Redonkulous and coloured her up, using my Spectrum Noir Markers. I grabbed patterned papers (from my scrap stash), I ended up with a great mix of colours, and companies... Echo Park, Bo Bunny, Teresa Collins... I then layered them all up using white card stock, and added doodling, a stamped sentiment (part of a Stampin' Up! set) I added a big bow, and a trio of rhinestones to finish off this card.

New Baby Card - Saturated Canary

Hi Again! I've had a spate of requests for new baby cards recently... Everyone must be pregnant! So, I've been trying to keep up with the demand... Here is my latest -
I started out by printing the digi image from Saturated Canary, and colouring her up, using my Spectrum Noir Markers. I decided to make her dress purple, as it's not a colour I use very often... I then cut her out, using a spellbinders die, and built my card. I used patterned paper from Teresa Collins, and layered it up on white card, and doodled around the edges. I made pennant banners, using MFT die-namics and attached them behind the main image panel. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up, I went over it with a fine tipped pen, as it disappeared in to the print of the paper. I added some Kraft coloured seam binding ribbon and a doily, before attaching the card base. I felt it needed something extra, so dug through my resin roses, selected three, then to keep the purple theme, I attached 4 purple coloured gems as well.

New Baby Boy Card - Some Odd Girl

Hi Lovelies! I know.... Quiet on the blog front... Again... But, I do have a quick card to share!
I started off by printing a Some Odd Girl digital stamp, and coloured her up using my Spectrum Noir markers. When printing digital images, I let the ink dry for a while before sitting down with my markers, as my ink jet printer can smudge when popping alcohol ink on top... I then fussy cut this little chicky... And built up my card. I used paper from a 6x6 paper pad - All About a Boy (Echo Park) and layered them up on some light blue card that matched almost perfectly. I then grabbed some off cut of white card and popped some washi tape on top (I think it's this one) I added some twine, and then popped my main image panel on top. I die cut a sentiment panel, using an MFT Die-Namic before stamping my sentiment, and adding an enamel dot. I added a metal embellishment, which I have had in my stash forever and bought for scrapbooking my little nephew, and never used, as it didn't fit anything I ever scrapbooked!

The Alley Way Stamps - New Baby Card

Hi ya! Easter is almost here! Are you ready for the bunny's visit?
I have a quick card to share today, featuring some newer stamps (in my collection!)
I started pulling out all my The Alley Way Stamps, I chose to use the boat from Kid N Caboodle and Jibber Jabber, I inked up the boat, and stamped it four times, once on X-press it Blender card, again on patterned papers, from Echo Park, All about a Boy, MME, and Echo Park Dots and Stripes, before trimming out the pieces I wanted to use, I attached double sided tape to the back, trimmed them out, and peeled the backing off and attached them to my blender card section, which I'd coloured up using my Spectrum Noirs. The background paper I've used is a trimmed down piece of Echo Park Dots and Stripes, which of course has a bunch off doodling around the edges (I can't help myself!) The sentiment is stamped in plain black ink, and the card made up, using more patterned paper from All About a Boy 6x6 paper pad, cut out with a scallop border die.
Here is the close up -
I am entering this into three challenges, the first is the Inspiration pic from TAWS blog, next up is the sketch from Mojo Monday, and finally the Anything goes challenge at Simon Says
My shop will be offline from next weekend, as I will be out of action for a couple of weeks, so if there is anything you'd like to get your hands on any of my cards, now is the time to take a peek!

Some Odd Girl - New Baby

Hi guys!
I have a new baby card to share today! One of the girls I work with had a beautiful little bundle of joy yesterday, they named her Summer! I wanted to make a special card to take to work, for everyone to sign, to congratulate her and her partner on their new addition... So, here it is -
As soon as I knew she'd had the baby, I went looking for a specific digi stamp, I knew I'd seen in the Some Odd Girl Shop... I found Baby Snuggle Kaylee, and knew she'd be perfect for the card that was floating in my head!
I printed her out on some plain white cardstock, and coloured her up using my Spectrum Noir Markers. I tried to make her look as much like my work mate as possible... I don't know if it worked though.... I then built my card... I used scrap pieces of patterned paper, mostly from My Minds Eye, and die-cut a bunch of Hexagons (MFT Die-Namic) and doodled around the edges before layering them on to Kraft card. I embossed some more white card, and layered up my hexagons. The sentiment is from SU! and was die-cut using my favourite banner die. The "button" is just a circle die cut from some glitter cardstock, with two holes  punched into it, and twine tied through.

Hi guys! I'm back today to share a New Baby/New Mum card I made up last night...  Here it is  -
I started off colouring up this cute pregnant chicky using my Spectrum Noir Markers, and then trimmed her out. I built my card up using patterned papers from Authentique and Teresa Collins 6x6 paper pads, and a bunch of doodling with a felt tip pen. I stamped the sentiments, from Some Odd Girl and The Alley Way stamps using Stampin' Up! Inks. Here is a close up!

Feeling Sketchy - Week 27!

Hi guys, I'm a little late posting this week for Feeling Sketchy. We have a new sponsor this month, one of my favourite places to shop (semi locally) Illawarra Scrapbookers

And here is this weeks sketch -
F-Sketchy 27
So good for different interpretations! I needed a baby card for a girl at work who had a healthy little boy last Thursday.... here is my card -
I used a mix of patterned papers that were on my desk from a scrapbook page I did the other night. These were the perfect combo for a baby boy card. I think there is Kaisercraft, We R Memory Keepers and My Minds Eye. The Stamps are Stampin' Up! and The Alley Way Stamps (Jibber Jabber) and I added a whole bunch of tiny dots of stickles around the edge for some bling.
I am entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes challenge too :)

The Greeting Farm - New Baby Card

Hi Hi! Two posts in one day! Are you shocked? Scroll down to see my Stamp Spot Design Team post, alternatively, click here.... Anyway, I made this card the other night while crafting with my bestie Annmaree, just so you all know, she and I live 6hrs away from each other, but every week, we get online together, at the same time and craft and chat... granted, most nights we only make one or two cards but, it is a highlight of my week....
Ok, so I started with this adorable pregnant lady from The Greeting Farm, Mom and Dad set it was the first TGF image I bought... I coloured her in using my Spectrum Noir Markers and fussy cut her out... I then tried to find papers to match.... If you guys know me, you know Purple isn't my colour, at all! I went through my stash of scraps, and came across this purple paper from My Minds Eye and some blue from KaiserCraft. I stuck them together, did some faux stitching and then looped my ribbon around it and tied a bow... The sentiment is from My Minds Eye, and I think it makes a great sentiment for someone expecting :) I layered the whole shebang on to Kraft card stock and called it done :)
I am entering this into three challenges, the Anyone for Anya? challenge is stitching, the Farm Fresh Friday Challenge is to use something 'old' I used papers from my offcuts as well as my first owned TGF image, and last but not least is the Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge #149

Stampin' Up! Classic Stars Jumbo Wheel and Picture This make cute New Baby Cards

Ok, so I finally finished up my assignment this evening, it is all parcelled up and ready to be sent on its merry way to Armidale in the morning. I have also done the speaking component of the assignment, which I had been procrastinating about since I am all sinus-y from the flu.... So, to reward myself for actually getting the assignment in on time, completed, I headed into the craft room. Some of you may know that my older sister is heavily pregnant, due to have the baby at any time... She knows she is having a little girl.... Amanda, my sister was the biggest tomboy growing up. I think from the time she was allowed to pick her own clothes, I have only seen her in a dress three times... Her year 10 formal, her year 12 formal, and her wedding... So, when she found out she was having a girl, she told us not too much pink, unless it is the bright kind.... Here is the card I have made using her specification....
I have used Crumbcake, Melon Mambo, Baja Breeze and So Saffron. The bottom third of the card is the jumbo wheel Classic Stars, which is stamped tone on tone, then I have used my Big Shot to create the polka dots on the Melon Mambo section, which was sponged around the corners. The Baja Breeze has been stamped with the jumbo wheel as well in Baja Breeze and the shape is the Decorative Label Punch. The sentiment was coloured using my Stampin' Write markers and is from the retired stamp set Picture This. A little bit of non-SU! ribbon, and a few buttons finish this card off.
I am entering this into 2 new for me challenges, the first is the Sketchbook Saturday Challenge #12 from an artist I follow fairly closely, Iwona (Chupa) I love her style, it is just so different to mine... The second challenge is the Wplus9 Colour Cue {15} Challenge. A number of people I follow participate in this challenge, so I thought it was high time I joined them....
Anyway,
I must dash, it is my bed time....Until next time, Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Stampin' Write Markers are so good for colouring!

I'm back again. I realised I hadn't yet participated in this weeks Colour Q Challenge!
I wanted to ink up this cute stamp from The Greeting Farm, and after it was all inked up, coloured it with my Stampin' Write Markers... one of my 'must have' craft items.... I love the versatility of the markers, it may seem like a frivolous purchase (they are quite expensive) but, I love colouring with them... I love Colouring my stamps and then stamping with them... I love everything about them...
I have used scrap DSP, from SU, and October Afternoon (I think...) the sentiment is one from a retired hostess set. I am giving this to one of my customers who has just celebrated the birth of her 3rd beautiful baby!

Thanks for looking, and Happy Stamping!
