The Greeting Farm - Rain, Snow, Shine Christmas Card

Hi Again! I have had the day off work today (scheduled) and I decided after tidying up last night, it was time to craft! I made two cards so far, might get more done after dinner... Here is my first one -
I have had this stamp all coloured up for a few days, and she was just waiting to get onto a Christmas card. I coloured her using my beloved Spectrum Noir Markers, and made her look like Mrs. Claus. I then put stickles on her hand warmer and boots etc. I love how she turned out, so when the stickles was dry, trimmer her out and then made up my card. The patterned papers are from Simple Stories, I used my faux Crochet MFT Die-namic for the little bit of lace and the Stampin' Up! Timeless Type alphabet for the sentiment, which I've covered in stickles as well.
I used the sketch from Anyone for Anya? as inspiration and the first challenge from Spectrum Noir Holiday challenge :)

Feeling Sketchy - Week 5 Scrapbook Sketch!

Hi Again, it's the last week of our first month over at Feeling Sketchy! Which means it's time for a scrapbook sketch.... We decided as we had a lot of feedback from our Facebook Page that it would be a good idea to include a scrap sketch once a month.... so, here it is -
F-Sketchy 5
The stars can be translated into any embellishments... here is my take -
I'd just like to point out, that no, that's not me... It's my older sister her son and her husband :) I used a fairly clean and simple colour scheme to go with the professional photos. I used one sheet of white cardstock, and a half sheet of brown, aqua and white patterned paper (for the life of me, I can't remember which company this is from) Anyone be able to help? I used a Chipboard tree, coated it in ink and then clear embossed over the top of it to make it stand out... I added some MFT Die Cut Clouds cut out of felt, and a tag which has my journalling and a little bit of twine tied in a bow. The title is from the Stampin' Up! Timeless Type Sizzlet and has been cut out of Chocolate Chip card and stuck down. I had a little chipboard birdy, painted him white and added him and a button to the tree to finish off this layout.

The Greeting Farm - Birthday Ian and I create a birthday card for a little boy.

Hi Guys! Another quick post to show you a card I made as a reward for getting through some studying today. I also have some exciting news, I was picked as the "Cream in the Coffee" again, last week for the Play Date Cafe with this card. I was also picked as one of the top three over at Anyone for Anya? with this Masculine Card. I always get a wonderful feeling being recognised for my cards :) Anyway, on to todays card
This is a Baja Breeze card base, which has been lightly sponged, then I have layered Pear Pizzazz card stock and some white cardstock. The squares were cut out of various scraps in my collection and glued down. The ribbon is one I bought a while ago, but don't remember where I got it from. I stamped the Birthday Ian in Staz On and coloured him with my Stampin' Write Markers (pic of colours below). I then fussy cut him out, and attached him using dimensionals. The sentiment is from Grunge Rock and the two is from Timeless Type.
I am entering this into three challenges, the first is the Freshly Made Sketches challenge, which I'm just scraping in with. Next up is The Play Date Cafe colour challenge, which I felt leant itself to a card for a little boy... And, the TGF Farm Fresh Challenge, Anything Goes
Thanks for popping by! If you'd like any more info about my card, leave me a comment :)

Stampin' Up! Tempting Turquoise Embossing Powder to decorate Chipboard.

I have to admit, I buy things thinking "oh yeah, I'll use that..." and then they collect dust for ages! Three of the items on this layout are like that... First is the Tempting Turquoise Embossing Powder, then the Fabric from Stampin' Up! And, finally the chipboard. I bought a bunch of Chipboard a while back, with all good intentions, but I really struggle to use it! Anyway, onto the page
So, I used some patterned paper as the background for this (This is a momentous occasion! You should notice I don't usually use a whole page of patterned paper, Ever!) I think it is from Kaisercraft Seaside Collection. I lined up where all my photos needed to go, added some Real Red Patterned Paper (DSP Brights Stack), and the sat with my chipboard embellishment, thinking what to do... I came up with this-

Smooshed (technical) my VersaMark ink pad all over this chipboard swirl and piled on the Tempting Turquoise embossing powder, and then heat set it. I put it onto the layout, and felt it was missing something, so with some tiny flat back self cover buttons, and Stampin' Up! Designer Series Fabric, I made some embellishments. I also made one a bit bigger and stuck it on too. Then, it came to a title... I think my nephew is just the cutest little guy on the planet, and he will be breaking girls hearts in no time.... So, that's what my title is all about... I used inspiration from Mariah Carey's song Heartbreaker, for this layout (so I can enter it into the Daring You to Scrap Challenge) I'm also entering this into the Anything Goes Challenge at DYSU Challenge Blog

Scrapbooking - Picture Heavy Post

Two weekends a go, The Scrapbooking Haven hosted a Cyber Crop, where there were 11 challenges. I have never participated in a Cyber Crop before, but thought I'd give it a whirl. I do have a whole bunch of photos that needed a scrapbook page! So, in I jumped....
This one was a blind scrapbook challenge, where all the instructions were given, but no visuals were available. I found it a really interesting way to scrapbook.
Challenge to use only Blue and Yellow on a layout.
Tic Tac Toe Challene. I chose to used 2 or more photos, include 3 or more buttons and tear each layer. This layout was really difficult for me, as this style is so not me!
White + 1 Challenge to use white and magenta (shades of magenta)
Recipe Challenge to include the below elements on a layout
Paint/ink on your background paper, an altered piece of chipboard, brads, string and strips of patterned paper.

Sketch Challenge.
Numbers Challenge
1 tag
2 photos
3 printed paper
4 word title
5 word journaling
6 embies of your choice

Challenge to use misting in your background. This was my least favourite challenge and layout, I really struggled with it.
Hidden Journaling challenge. The little envelope opens up to show some journaling.
Happy Challenge, must use "Happy" in your title.
The next two weren't part of the cyber crop, but they are part of the 52 layout challenge over at Scrapbooking Haven, and I thought I'd pop them all in one post :)
Week 4
Challenge to use felt somewhere on your layout. I made a bunch of rolled roses out of felt.

Week 5
Case Amy's layout. I loved all the white space, and the use of butterflies and quilted block.

Some Odd Girl Digital Stamps and Stampin' Write Markers create a Missing You Card

Hi guys, I'm back with a card! This one features a really cute Digital Stamp I downloaded this afternoon (instant gratification!)
Photobucket
I started by printing this little chicky onto watercolour paper, and then coloured her using my Stampin' Write Markers, and a Blender pen. I've used minimal colours in the actual image, Sahara Sand, Soft Suede, Tempting Turquoise, Blossom Blush, and Real Red. I then sparkled up her shoes, cause every girl wants a pair of Dorothy shoes
Anyway, on with the rest of the card.... I used a Real Red card base, and layered it with Whisper White and a triangle of Tempting Turquoise patterned paper (DSP Brights stack), tied some white grosgrain ribbon around the top, with a lovely bow. The sentiment is made up of Nesting Circle and Nesting Scallop Circle dies and the words made with stickers and the Stampin' Up! Timeless Type Die.
Ok, so I am entering this into three challenges, the first is the Some Odd Girl colour challenge, which I LOVE these colours together right now! The second is the Friday Mashup! which is something new, or the Sketch, and I mashed it up this week, with new digital stamps :) and the sketch.... And finally, the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Challenge :)

Stampin' Up! Brights Designer Series Paper and Timeless Type Sizzlet and I create a Scrapbook Page

Hi Guys, I'm back with the promised scrap book page! This is another one for my nieces scrap book. I'm loving scrapping her pictures, as I can use lots of little cute embellishments!
I have used a 12x12 piece of Crumbcake (Kraft) card stock, which I have sponged around the edges with White Craft Ink. I have cut some scrap strips of Brights Designer Series Paper in Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Real Red and Tempting Turquoise. I then staggered them on the base card and added a die cut doily. The photo was attached then with my hot glue gun, I attached a bunch of little embellishments (below) The butterflies were cut out of some scrap acetate (from some packaging), using the Big Shot. I then embossed them using the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and some stickles to the wings. I added some small alphabet stickers and cut some letters using the Timeless Type Sizzlet from Tempting Turquoise.

I am entering this into the Kraft It Up! challenge which is to use bright colours :)
Thanks for dropping by!

Stampin' Up! Designer Series Fabric (tiny piece!)

Ok, so I've had a stash of the Designer Series Fabrics from Stampin' Up! since they were released in the catalogue, but I just didn't know what to use it for... Until November, when my good bloggy buddy Annmaree sent me a button making machine (thing) with a bunch of self cover buttons included.... So, out came the Stampin' Up! Designer Series Fabric, in the Flirtatious Collection.
Can you see it nestled among the flowers? It's little, but it's there! This is on a scrapbook page that I've done for my niece Briannas album. Lets zoom out a bit?
So, on this page, the only thing that is Stampin' Up! is the tiny piece of fabric (no more than 4 cm square, so I can savour my pieces.... ) And of course, the title is cut out using the Timeless Type Sizzlet. The patterned papers are from Grant Archival, the bling from Prima, the Grey is American Crafts, and the the flowers are from a facebook group. (If you'd like to know which one, please inbox me)
I followed a sketch from The Scrapbooking Haven, which you can find below. I flipped it, so the photo was on the other side, but you get the drift.
I'm on a bit of a scrapping roll right now!

Stampin' Up! Scrapbooking using Timeless Type in 2012

Hi guys! I have a scrapbook page to share today. It's a great way to start the new year...
The photo I have scrapbooked is one I took on my mobile phone of myself, just to show my new glasses I think it was... I really like how the photo turned out, so I printed it out and decided to scrapbook it. 2012 is going to be as big year for me, as I have decided to take control of my weight loss and look into gastric sleeving surgery, so this page is dedicated to the first steps I will need to take this year to get the ball rolling. I have used papers from American Craft, and October Afternoon, as well as Thickers and alpha's from Kaisercraft. I have cut out the 2012 using the Timeless Type sizzlet (again) and glittered them up. I also added a few basic rhinestones to counter the bling :)
Below, I have added a few close ups :)

I am entering this into the Just Add Ink Scrapbook challenge, which they will be running monthly, which is to include a first or one... Secondly, I am entering this into the new challenge Daring You to Scrap which was to use scraps to create a background. I actually only used scraps apart from the base layers, so I have a few less scraps in my pile and finally into the Unstampabelles anything goes challenge

Stampin' Up! Timeless Type in the Big Shot and I create a 21st Birthday Card

Hi Guys! I have another card to share with you today, this one will be heading out to a special friend who is celebrating her 21st birthday soon!
I used Stampin' Up!'s current in colour Wild Wisteria as a card base (I find purple so difficult to work with!) and layered it with some American Crafts patterned paper, then I got out my Stampin' Write Markers and coloured this gorgeous stamp from The Greeting Farm. I fussy cut her out, and stuck her onto some Whisper White which was layered on to Wisteria Wonder. I wrapped some wide grosgrain ribbon around the card and the popped a scallop circle and regular circle on. I got a piece of scrap white card, covered it in VersaMark, while it was still wet, I poured over a mixture (that I'd pre-prepared) of silver embossing powder and glitter, and heat set it, using my heat gun... With the embossed and glittery paper, I popped it through the Big Shot using the Timeless Type sizzlet and then glued them onto the circles. I added a few little flowers from my stash.
I used inspiration from the Deconstructed Sketch, and also the Just Add Ink, Just Add Sparkle challenge
Thanks as always for popping by!
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Timeless Type Sizzlet and I create a Scrapbooking Page with Bonus Sketch!

Hi Guys! I've been a terrible blogger of late! I do have a scrapbook page to show you this evening though! I have taken on the task of scrapbooking all the photos of my niece and nephew so, you will probably see a lot more of this gorgeous child :)
This was Sam just after his first birthday, wearing the firemans hat that he received. I have used my favourite base card stock, Crumbcake which I have layered with patterned papers from various companies (they were all off cuts, so I can't tell you which ones, sorry!) Then with my newest addition for the Big Shot, I cut out the I and Up using the Timeless Type Sizzlets, I was quite hesitant in outlaying such a large amount ($139.95) but, I think they will be used all the time, so keep an eye out for more using it :) I added the When and Grow using some mini letter stickers (Echo Park I believe) and did some doodling around the photos using a black Stampin' Write Marker and around the page itself.
Here is the sketch of this layout, don't forget, you can view all the sketches here.
Thanks for dropping by, I hope to have more to share tomorrow :)
Happy Stamping/Scrapping!
