My Favourite Things - You're So Tweet

Hi guys! Back again this evening, procrastinating packing more (story of my week) and I have a card to share. I received a parcel of goodies from Annmaree today, which included this stamp, so of course, I had to play... come look -
I picked out some patterned paper from Kaisercraft- Bright and Sunny for this, and layered it onto some white card before sewing around all of the layers with my sewing machine on zig zag. I then sat and coloured the You're So Tweet stamp up and cut around her. I attached it to the layered patterned papers and then tied a bow using Dresden Blue Seam Binding Ribbon stamped the sentiment on a strip of white cardstock and cut it out in a flag shape.
I am entering this into the MFT sketch challenge over on the Splitcoast Stampers forum, but thought I'd share it here too :)
Thanks for popping by :)

My Favourite Things - Birthday Princess

Hi Guys! I'm currently in the process of packing up the house for moving next weekend (!) So, it might be quiet over here on the blog in the coming week.... Here's a card I made today -
I used the MFT Birthday Princess stamp and paper pieced her dress using the Sale-a-bration paper from Stampin' Up! I coloured her skin, hair, cake and hat using my Spectrum Noir Markers and cut her out. My card base is white, layered up with Peach Parfait, and some patterned paper from Echo Park, which I sewed around. The main image panel is pretty self explanatory, with the scallop circles actually cut out using my circle dies and cutting them in half (I don't have a big scallop punch/die like this) and I added some rhinestones in the valleys. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up! Sincere Salutations.
I used the MFTSC76 Sketch for this card, as well as inspiration from the Annabelle Stamps Paper Piecing challenge.

The Greeting Farm Wild Sprout Daisy.

Hi Again! I'm procrastinating packing up the house, so I thought I'd post a card I made last night :)
Ok, so I finally bit the bullet, and purchased copic friendly cardstock for my Spectrum Noirs.... and let me tell you... It does make a difference! I had no bleeding on this image, and the colour seemed to blend a bit better (or maybe I'm imagining that part) Anyway, I stamped my WS Daisy on the card and coloured her up. I then fussy cut her out, because silly me didn't leave enough room around her to cut with a nestie :P I then gathered my supplies. I wanted papers that were summery, and matched her clothing. The blue patterned paper is Echo Park (I think) and the yellow spots is one that Annmaree gifted me, so I'm not sure of the brand. I layered them up, and got my sewing machine working, to stitch around the yellow and to attach it to the Crumbcake base. I then stamped the sentiment onto my Leather Tan Seam Binding and stuck it down. I cut my oval out using the Spellbinders Ovals Large, and attached Daisy using a whole bunch of dimensionals... The sentiment is actually from Hey Kaylee, Some Odd Girl, but it fit on the ribbon, and was a nice neutral sentiment :)
I am entering this into three challenges (!) The first is the Farm Fresh Saturday Sketch from Splitcoast Stampers, next up are two summer inspired challenges (as I freeze here), one from Splendid Stamping, Retro -Fresh and secondly from Simon Says Stamp

Kaisercraft Fine and Sunny

Hi! I've had a craft filled weekend, but a lot of stuff I'm unable to show you yet, due to them being for DT spots.... so keep an eye out over the next few weeks :) This one was a just for fun card, using some brand new stamps I picked up on Saturday. I went into Spotlight to get foam adhesive and glitter, I walked out with a bunch more stuff... Including this stamp set
I started out stamping the bird house on white card stock and colouring it up up with (you guessed it) my Spectrum Noir markers. I then die cut it out and a scallop circle slightly bigger in Chocolate Chip, and set it aside. I gathered my papers, in this case, paper from Cosmo Cricket Baby Jane and Echo Park This & That Charming and layered them up on to more Chocolate Chip card stock. I stamped the Stampin' Up! Woodgrain background stamp on Crumbcake card stock, using craft white ink, and gave it a while to dry. While it was drying, I dragged out my sewing machine, and stitched around the patterned paper panels and also the Crumbcake panel. I then added some folded ribbon accents using this gorgeous Twill Ribbon and then a bit of Twine (from the Ribbon Carousel) and a button to finish it off :)
I am entering this into the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge, I wasn't sure at first, whether I'd be able to create something I liked for this, but in the end, I love my card. I am also entering this into the Corrosive Challenge which is to use two or more punches/dies. I used a corner rounder punch, and of course the circle and scallop circles :)

Scrapbooking - Picture Heavy Post

Two weekends a go, The Scrapbooking Haven hosted a Cyber Crop, where there were 11 challenges. I have never participated in a Cyber Crop before, but thought I'd give it a whirl. I do have a whole bunch of photos that needed a scrapbook page! So, in I jumped....
This one was a blind scrapbook challenge, where all the instructions were given, but no visuals were available. I found it a really interesting way to scrapbook.
Challenge to use only Blue and Yellow on a layout.
Tic Tac Toe Challene. I chose to used 2 or more photos, include 3 or more buttons and tear each layer. This layout was really difficult for me, as this style is so not me!
White + 1 Challenge to use white and magenta (shades of magenta)
Recipe Challenge to include the below elements on a layout
Paint/ink on your background paper, an altered piece of chipboard, brads, string and strips of patterned paper.

Sketch Challenge.
Numbers Challenge
1 tag
2 photos
3 printed paper
4 word title
5 word journaling
6 embies of your choice

Challenge to use misting in your background. This was my least favourite challenge and layout, I really struggled with it.
Hidden Journaling challenge. The little envelope opens up to show some journaling.
Happy Challenge, must use "Happy" in your title.
The next two weren't part of the cyber crop, but they are part of the 52 layout challenge over at Scrapbooking Haven, and I thought I'd pop them all in one post :)
Week 4
Challenge to use felt somewhere on your layout. I made a bunch of rolled roses out of felt.

Week 5
Case Amy's layout. I loved all the white space, and the use of butterflies and quilted block.
Thanks for dropping by!
