Kraftin' Kimmie - Birthday Card

Hiya! I've been busy creating, but haven't been able to drag my butt to the computer, to blog!
I've got a couple of cards to share, that will be heading into my store, as soon as I can wrangle a few minutes to do it!
Now, on to the card I want to share with you today
I started by picking out some scrap papers, that have been floating around my stash a while, I think these are from Echo Park (or My Minds Eye!) I then inked up Lucy, from Kraftin' Kimmie, and coloured her up, using my Spectrum Noir markers. I trimmed her out, and set her aside, and built my card. I used my computer and printer to create the sentiment, and then attached it, some ribbon and some bling to the card, before popping Lucy, and the extra book using dimensional adhesive...

The Greeting Farm - Glimmer Bean? Rainbow

Hi again! I crafted last night, and wanted to share my efforts -
I started out by colouring up my stamp using my Spectrum Noir Markers, and then trimmed out this cute TGF image out, and built my card, I used plain coloured cardstock to build my card, as I wanted the image to really stand out! I used a range of SU! colours (Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, Marina Mist and Wisteria Wonder) And cut out a bunch of circles, to create my border. I added a touch of glitter using some glitter cardstock, and a smattering of buttons, and bling/resins. Here is a close up
I am entering this card into three challenges, the first is the Double Take Tuesday challenge at Splendid Stamping, which is Rainbow, next up is the Anyone For Anya, Buttons challenge, and last but certainly not least, is the Mojo Monday sketch - 270, which of course, I've flipped.

Cuddle Anya - Thank You Card

Hi again! Back to share a card I made today! :)
I started out picking my patterned papers, in this case, more My Minds Eye scrap that was sitting on my desk, and Authentique. I then stamped Cuddle Anya on some blender card stock, and her hat onto some Authentique paper. I coloured her up using my Spectrum Noir Markers and added shading to her hat. I then built my card using the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches as the inspiration. I then popped Anya up using a bunch of dimensionals, and stamped the sentiment, which is from Some Odd Girl on the spellbinders die. I'm also entering this over at Splendid Stamping - Pink Challenge and the Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes

Kaszazz - Create Yourself card

Hi Again! I've made it to 700 posts! (This is #700) I am so amazed I've made it this far on my little old blog! In that time, I've made a whole bunch of new friends, seen a lot of different trends, joined Stampin' Up!, left SU!, opened my card store on MadeIt, seen my style evolve, join 2 amazing Design Teams, and of course, got Feeling Sketchy up and running with a group of lovely ladies. I will hopefully have many more posts coming! Now, onto my card -
This sentiment is one of my favourite, and while flicking through my Kaszazz catalogue, I knew I had to have it I stamped it on a piece of Vanilla card stock, in Soft Suede ink, and cut it out using my Spellbinders. I then went rifling through my draw of off cuts to find some patterned papers, I came up with this yellow dot one (not sure of the brand) and some Teresa Collins orange paper, each layer has been mounted on Soft Suede card with a piece of Ribbon Carousel's Red Dual Stripe Organic Twill ribbon tied in a bow. I added a little bit of red bling to the scallop shapes of the die cut, and decided this card was done.
I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches as inspiration, turning the sketch on its side to accommodate my sentiment. I am also linking this up to the Ribbon Carousel Fall into Fall challenge
Thanks for popping by for my 700th post :)

MFT - A La Modes - Birthday Girl

Hello! It's coming up for a full week of posting! Are you totally sick of me yet??? Turns out, having a whole bunch of new stuff from the craft show has re-ignited my mojo! I have another card to share -
I started out knowing I wanted to use a new addition (that arrived in the mail last week) the Papertrey Ink Framed set, and I knew I wanted to make this Birthday Girl (MFT) look like she was in a polaroid picture. I coloured her up using my Spectrum Noir Markers, and coloured the background in a neutral grey, so she wasn't up against a stark white background. I used papers from Simple Stories and Authentique (that orange has been on my desk since this card....)I then used the new Faux Crochet border die-namic and mounted it on some grey card. The whole card is mounted on Kraft card base and then I added a rolled flower with a couple of crochet flowers behind it to mimic leaves.
I am entering this into the Splitcoast Stampers MFT Sketch #86

Kraftin' Kimmie Cards

Hi Guys! Last night, I was up late, chatting with guess who, and colouring a couple of Kraftin' Kimmie images for some cards I knew I wanted to make.... here's the first -
By now, most of you probably know I dislike using the colour purple... to me, it just doesn't seem to 'work' for me... But, Annmaree sent me a Kaisercraft paper pad (Hippy Girl) that contained a lot of purple.... so, I had to use it! I've coloured up Talulahbelle with Spectrum Noir Markers and cut her out using my nesting circle dies... I the cut out a slightly bigger one in Elegant Eggplant cardstock. I layered up the papers on more eggplant card and stitched around them using the sewing machine. The sentiment has been white embossed and I have added some flowers and bling to finish it off. This card is using the current sketch from The Paper Players.
Now, on to the next card -
This is Goldilocks, and she's been coloured with my Speccies as well... I fussy cut her out, and the moved onto creating the card. I have used patterned paper from Simple Stories Fabulous range and they have been layered on to white card before being mounted on to the card base. Before sticking down the striped card, I added two twill ribbon loops. I then attached the stripey paper and a crocheted doily. I attached some buttons and my image popped up on a bunch of dimensionals.
I am entering this second card into the Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge, and also the Addicted to Stamps Bingo challenge - Flowers, Buttons, Blue
Thanks for dropping by!

Kraftin' Kimmie - Tallulahbelle

Hi Hi! Just a quick post here before I head to bed... I'm almost completely unpacked (woohoo) and had some time to craft... which resulted in a card you'll see tomorrow, and this card -
I started by colouring Tallulahbelle up using my Spectrum Noir Markers and the cut out her out using my nesting circles. I sat her aside, and picked out this fun paper to use. I layered it up on white cardstock and then onto a Wild Wasabi card base, and popped my fairy image circle on top.... She seemed to disappear a bit, so using the tutorial from Some Odd Girl on colouring clouds I gave it a whirl, using my Spectrum Noirs instead of Copics. For my clouds, I used Ice Greys - IG1, IG2 and for the darkest part IG4, for the sky, I used True Blues - TB1 and TB2. I then layered up the main image circle on to a slightly larger circle and tried it on the patterned paper again. She no longer looked lost! (WOOHOO!) I love this as an easy, cleaner alternative to sponging sky, and will no doubt use it again! I then decided she needed some bling, so I cut out a circle using some glitter paper, and also a butterfly. I then stamped the sentiment from Tallulahbelle, but omitted the "I", then layered it up onto the larger, glitter circle...I then finished off the card with some silver rhinestones in the top right and bottom left corners :)
Here are the colours I used to colour the Fairy -

I am entering this into three challenges, the first is the Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge, and secondly the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge 134 (I was lucky enough to be picked as last weeks winner, woohoo!) And, finally to The Corrosive Challenge, which is Summer Girls
KKStamps Store!

Kraftin' Kimmie Goldilocks

Hello again! I'm here to share another card I made over the weekend (it was a very productive weekend card wise) Here it is -
I received an order from Lime Tart last Friday, and it in was my first ever Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! So, while  I was supposed to be packing, I sat and coloured this chicky in... This is Goldilocks, and I thought I'd struggle a bit with her masses of hair... but surprisingly, I found her very simple to colour! I used my Spectrum Noir Markers to colour her, and used lots of the same colour groups to get a lot of shading... I the cut her out until I'd decided what to do with her... Luckily, Annmaree pointed me in the direction of the Kraftin' Kimmie blog/challenge, so I built my card. I used a Crumbcake base, stamped with En Francais in the same colour, and sponged the edges. I used some scrap patterned paper (from My Minds Eye) and some beautiful white satin ribbon from Ribbon Carousel and tied a bow. The main image panel is a new to me spellbinders nestie Labels 2 which I sponged with a bunch more Crumbcake Ink. The sentiment is from the Kraftin' Kimmie stamp set Goldilocks and it's a sentiment I will use a lot, I can tell.... :)
I am entering this in the Kraftin' Kimmie sketch challenge and also into the Stampalot Challenge which is Tic Tac Toe, and I have used the third row, down, Pink, Brown and Bling :)

Cuddle Anya from The Greeting Farm

Hi Guys. I've scheduled a bunch of posts up until the weekend, which have been cards I've made over the last few days, just so you guys aren't wondering where I've gotten to.... Here is the first one I wanted to share with you -
I did this card a little backwards to what I would usually do, I started by going through my scrap paper drawer and picking out papers that matched each other, the wood panelling is from My Minds Eye, as is the houndstooth pink paper. The third patterned paper is from Simple Stories. I mounted them all on white cardstock and then onto each other and then finally onto some Rose Red card stock. I tied a big Grosgrain bow around the houndstooth paper before mounting it. Then, I coloured up Cuddle Anya using my Spectrum Noir Markers and then mounted the image panel on top with dimensionals. The sentiment is a really cute one from Kraftin' Kimmie (which you'll be seeing again soon!)
I used the sketch from Splitcoast Stampers TGF Saturday Sketch Challenge (below) I was really inspired by this sketch as soon as I saw it! Doesn't help that I was their winner from last week! :D

Pop back in the next few days to see more cards!

Feeling Sketchy Week 12

Hi guys, back today to share my DT card for Feeling Sketchy! I actually made this card last week...
I started off with the background paper, which I knew I wanted to use, and coloured up my Glimmer Bean stamp from The Greeting Farm with my Spectrum Noir Markers. I then layered it all up using Certainly Celery card stock, patterned paper from Grace Taylor (I believe) and two kinds of ribbon. I added a lil bit of bling and called it done :)
Sorry this is such a short post, I feel like I've got the flu, so I'm not feeling 100%. Make sure you head over to the challenge blog, and play along with this weeks challenge -

The Greeting Farm Wild Sprout Daisy.

Hi Again! I'm procrastinating packing up the house, so I thought I'd post a card I made last night :)
Ok, so I finally bit the bullet, and purchased copic friendly cardstock for my Spectrum Noirs.... and let me tell you... It does make a difference! I had no bleeding on this image, and the colour seemed to blend a bit better (or maybe I'm imagining that part) Anyway, I stamped my WS Daisy on the card and coloured her up. I then fussy cut her out, because silly me didn't leave enough room around her to cut with a nestie :P I then gathered my supplies. I wanted papers that were summery, and matched her clothing. The blue patterned paper is Echo Park (I think) and the yellow spots is one that Annmaree gifted me, so I'm not sure of the brand. I layered them up, and got my sewing machine working, to stitch around the yellow and to attach it to the Crumbcake base. I then stamped the sentiment onto my Leather Tan Seam Binding and stuck it down. I cut my oval out using the Spellbinders Ovals Large, and attached Daisy using a whole bunch of dimensionals... The sentiment is actually from Hey Kaylee, Some Odd Girl, but it fit on the ribbon, and was a nice neutral sentiment :)
I am entering this into three challenges (!) The first is the Farm Fresh Saturday Sketch from Splitcoast Stampers, next up are two summer inspired challenges (as I freeze here), one from Splendid Stamping, Retro -Fresh and secondly from Simon Says Stamp

Feeling Sketchy and Some Odd Girl

Hi guys! I'm late posting my DT card for Feeling Sketchy today, because I overslept... But, it's here....
I started off with my Hey Kaylee stamp set which I stamped and coloured using my Spectrum Noir Markers, I used this tutorial on youtube to get my shading just how I wanted.
It has made me look at my markers in a whole new light! If you're a recent convert to Spectrums and want them to blend more easily, this is the tutorial for you! :) Anyway, back to the card..... I fussy cut her out and then popped her on dimensionals onto a Spellbinders Label 4 die cut. Next up was building my card. I used patterned paper from My Minds Eye and my sewing machine to attach them together. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up!'s Kindness Matters stamp set, and I have stamped it using Craft White Ink to make it pop on the Kraft cardstock. I layered the patterned papers on to the Kraft card base and added some bling to finish it off.
This is the feeling sketchy week 11 sketch -
Pop on over and have a play :)

The Greeting Farm - Glimmer Bean

Hi All! It's time for me to play at The Stamp Spot Blog - So, here goes....
I started off this card knowing that I wanted to use this paper from Basic Grey, it's from the Lemonade Collection and is called Flower Garden. I sat and looked at the paper, and coloured my image to match, using my watercolour markers. I then fussy cut her out, and set her aside. I used some lace from the store, and layered it on to the patterned paper, then using two MFT Dienamics (Mini Rolled Roses, and Rolled Rose die) I cut out three roses, one from Pirouette A4 cardstock and two from some felt from my stash. I added a brad to the centre of the larger rose, which I had covered in embossing powder, and heat set. Then while it was still warm, I rolled it in glitter and heat set it again. I cut out a nestie label and doodled around the patterned paper, and label before attaching everything together and onto a cardbase. The sentiment is from My Favourite Things and was stamped in black ink to finish off this card.
This card fits the requirements of the May challenge - why not play along?

Gorjuss Flying Above it All and I create a Blank Card

Hi Hi! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter, mine was very quiet... I have been crafting (Wooh!)
I have used a plain white card base for this card, layered up with Sahara Sand and some free patterned paper that I got with a magazine. (Simply Cards, Issue 96). I have then layered some White Satin Pleated Ribbon (from the Ribbon Carousel, I have an addiction to buying beautiful ribbon from this store!) and some Stampin'  Up! Wisteria Wonder Ruffled Ribbon. I then got to colouring this beautiful image, from Gorjuss, her name is Flying Above it All, with my Stampin' Write Markers and a blender pen. I tried about 10 different sentiments on this card, before deciding it was better off with out one... I did add some silver bling to finish off this card though.
I am entering this into the Ribbon Carousel Sketch challenge and also the Embellish Magazine colour/bling challenge
Thanks for dropping by :)

Stampin' Up! Bliss and Pool Party for an elegant Birthday Card

I have been creating, but just not blogging! I have a backlog of cards to show you, which never happens! I like to blog on the same day I create in general, so to have 4 cards waiting to be posted is a little odd for me.... Here is one I made yesterday.

Two photos today, as I didn't that you can't see the sentiment in the first one, and don't like the glare in the second *sigh*
I have used a white card base, layered it with some speciality paper from KaiserCraft, wrapped some Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon (swoon) on top. I cut out a Pool Party scallop circle using the Big Shot, and a circle in Whisper White. I stamped the circle with the filigree from Bliss in Pool Party and the sentiment in Versamark. I sprinkled a mix of silver embossing powder and glitter to create some bling and heat set it. Layered the circles and popped it on the card front. The final step for this card was rounding the corners :)
I am entering this into two challenges, the first is the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger, I was inspired by the silver, white and the tiny touches of blue, mine is a little brighter, but I think it fits still... The second challenge is the Inspirational Card Sketches which was a super sketch for my style this week :) I am also entering their design team call (wish me luck!)
I've got more to share, but it will have to wait until after work tomorrow,
Sorry!
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Bliss and I create a Young Adult Birthday card

Hi guys, I wasn't going to post this until tomorrow, but it was a little earlier than I thought, so I will post it before heading to bed...I wanted to create a card that would be perfect for a young lady turning 18 or 21, and this is what I came up with... I must be in a monochromatic phase at the moment, as here is another one....
The purple piece started life out as a piece of Perfect Plum, but with a whole bunch of sponging of Elegant Eggplant, I don't think it looks Plum any more... I have sponged the background piece, then with my white shimmer paint mixed with a little bit of rubbing alcohol, I have created a shimmer spray, I heat set that then stamped the splatter from French Foliage on it in Elegant Eggplant. I then stamped the flourish from Sale-a-bration set Bliss in Basic Grey and highlighted some of the swirls using a silver gel pen. I have stamped and embossed this butterfly, which is from Grant Archival in silver and popped him using dimensionals. The sentiment is from Basic Phrases and is on a piece of Perfect Plum that has had the edges sponged as well. This was all mounted on to a piece of Basic Grey and three little rhinestones finish this off...
I based this card loosely on the Just Add Ink Sketch, below. This card turned out very very different to how I first imagined it... But I like it nonetheless.
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! French Foliage and Top Note Die are awesome for Scrapbooking!

I had a very early work morning today, with my shift starting at 4am *yawn* but, I'm home now, and not quite tired enough to sleep just yet.... Maybe when all the caffeine wears off? Anyway, I wanted to create when I came home, so into the craft room (which is currently a mess!) I went
I love to scrapbook, but generally find I don't do it very often, as 12x12 layouts daunt me a little... all that empty space... So, I decided to try something a bit different, I went with an A4 sized layout, which isn't nearly as daunting! In this page, I have used a cute photo of my cat Toby, who is a little 'special', we picked him up from a rescue centre about this time last year. It took him a good 3 months to be okay with me in the same room as him, and still isn't a huge fan of me, or people in general. He adores Mark, and will happily go for a scratch. This was Toby about 6 months ago, chilling in a re-usable bag in the lounge room. He loves to be in things, he doesn't sleep on the bed, but in the bed, under the covers with his head on the pillow (he's a bit of a princess)
For this layout, I have taken my colours from the actual photo, using Crumbcake (Stampin' Up!'s version of Kraft), Pacific Point and Basic Grey. I have used my Bigshot to create a frame out of the off cuts from a Top Note diecut, I have then stamped and embossed the splatter in silver from French Foliage which is in the new Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue. On the Crumbcake, I have used some Smooch Spritz in silver, which is a carryover item from the Summer Mini Catalogue, once this was dry, I stamped the text image from French Foliage in Basic Grey. To carry the blue from the picture, I used the Decorative Label Punch with Pacific Point and used it for a  fancy edging on the frame. The bling is from a piece of Prima flourish (I trimmed them down), and the smattering of buttons are from my stash.
I am entering this into the Kraft It Up! challenge blog which this month is to create a layout, using Kraft and No Patterned Papers.
Thanks for dropping by, and as always,
Happy Stamping!
