Kraftin' Kimmie - Birthday Card, Take 2

So, I've been crafting again, and made another Birthday card, featuring another Kraftin' Kimmie image -
I grabbed a new paper pad, that arrived yesterday, from Echo Park (For the Record), and selected this fun daisy paper, and the beautiful red paper as well. I doodled around the edges, and mounted it on some black card. I wrapped some black grosgrain ribbon around the papers and then tied a big yellow bow over the top. I coloured up my Kraftin' Kimmie stamp using my Spectrum Noirs, and mounted the image panel on more black card. The sentiment is another one from Kraftin' Kimmie, and I added a trio of flowers and rhinestones to finish off the card.

Masculine Birthday Card - No Colouring!

Hi guys! I made another card the other night, for a friends birthday....
I wanted to make a card that wasn't overly "cutesy" as it was for a male friend, and didn't want it to be too over the top either...
Here is the outcome -
I started out, going through my stash of 6x6 patterned papers, and selecting a few that went ok together... Starting from the top, we've got Sn@p, 24/Seven, then Authentique, then the orange-y one is by Kaisercraft, and is the Homemade collection. I used a piece of white, confetti cardstock in the middle, before repeating the papers down the page again. I looped some black grosgrain ribbon around the side, before attaching a bow, with a button, and a twine bow tied through the holes. I then stamped my sentiment, which is made up using The Alley Way Stamps, Jibber Jabber set. I stamped it using the rock and roll technique, using two shades of orange ink.
The rock and roll technique is simple, dab your stamp in the lighter colour first, than either rock the edge (or roll, depending on how you want it to blend) into the second ink. I just rocked the bottom edge slightly into my darker ink. I then pressed it down on to a piece of Confetti card, and die cut a circle.
I added a trio of sequins to the bottom right corner of the card, and added an arrow paper clip, from Freckled Fawn to the sentiment circle, to finish the card off...
Here is the close up (hopefully you can see the colour variation better)

Some Odd Idol Competition Entry!

Hi guys! I rewarded myself for finishing an assignment last night, by crafting.... I've been meaning to play along with the Some Odd Girl Gallery Idol since it was launched on the Some Odd Girl Ning Group, but hadn't had a chance.... Until last night! Here is my card -
I started by stamping, and colouring Romantic Gwen using my Spectrum Noir Markers and cut her out using a Spellbinders oval die. I used a selection of patterned papers from My Minds Eye My Girl 6x6 Paper Pad and doodled around the edges. I added some black grosgrain ribbon as a fish tail banner, and the sentiment is from My Favourite Things, and cut out using the matching speech bubble die. I added three black rhinestones before attaching everything to the black card base.
Here is the close up -
I am entering this into the Some Odd Idol challenge, as well as the Simon Says Stamp anything goes challenge.
Thanks for popping by! It's much appreciated :)

Cuddle Anya from The Greeting Farm

Hi Guys. I've scheduled a bunch of posts up until the weekend, which have been cards I've made over the last few days, just so you guys aren't wondering where I've gotten to.... Here is the first one I wanted to share with you -
I did this card a little backwards to what I would usually do, I started by going through my scrap paper drawer and picking out papers that matched each other, the wood panelling is from My Minds Eye, as is the houndstooth pink paper. The third patterned paper is from Simple Stories. I mounted them all on white cardstock and then onto each other and then finally onto some Rose Red card stock. I tied a big Grosgrain bow around the houndstooth paper before mounting it. Then, I coloured up Cuddle Anya using my Spectrum Noir Markers and then mounted the image panel on top with dimensionals. The sentiment is a really cute one from Kraftin' Kimmie (which you'll be seeing again soon!)
I used the sketch from Splitcoast Stampers TGF Saturday Sketch Challenge (below) I was really inspired by this sketch as soon as I saw it! Doesn't help that I was their winner from last week! :D

Pop back in the next few days to see more cards!

Kaisercraft Butterfly stamps and Patterned paper on a Blank Card

Hello! Day 2 of my 4 days off of work, and I had a quiet one at home, with watching movies and lazing around... I got into the craft room this evening, and created, although, I'm not overly happy with the results, I think my mojo has gone walkies... So will be getting out of the house tomorrow, and clearing my head
This is a Baja Breeze card base, layered with Lucky Limeade and some patterned paper by Kaisercraft. I cut out the circles using my Big Shot and layered them in Basic Gray and White. I stamped, and coloured my butterflies, the first two in Gray and the final one with Baja Breeze, which I covered in sparkly holographic embossing powder to make it 'pop' I added a strip of Celery Grosgrain Ribbon and tied a bow.
I am entering this into three challenges, the first is the sketch from iSpy Sketches, next up is the colour combo from The Play Date Cafe, and finally, the Ribbon Carousel Spring Challenge.
Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to head on over to Feeling Sketchy and join in with our first ever sketch, you have until 6am (AEST) Monday to enter!
