Some Odd Girl - Mermaid Queen

Hi guys! I'm back again, to share a card I made last night. It is a card, that I currently love, more than most, and I can't see myself parting with it, any time soon! I made it, to showcase on Some Odd Girl's Facebook Group - Paper Piecing Challenge
Here it is -
To start this card, I selected the Mermaid Queen Digital Stamp, from Some Odd Girl, printed her on my copic card stock, and on some copy paper. On the copy paper, once she was printed, I attached some patterned paper, and some vellum, and reprinted her. While that was printing, I started colouring the Mermaid's body, using my copic markers. I let the ink dry a short time on the vellum part of her tail, and while that was drying, coloured her tail in shades of green and blue, to give it a shimmer look on the patterned paper. I colour over a lot of my paper pieced sections, to give more dimension, to make the piece look less "flat". I then fussy cut the tail, and fins and attached them to my coloured mermaid. I did some stippling to give the appearance of sand, and used some stickles on her main tail fin, to give some sparkle!
The papers on this card are a mix of no-name papers and Lawn Fawn, I think her tail is from My Minds Eye (it was a scrap in my scrap draw). I added a sentiment, from another Some Odd Girl stamp set (which appears to be retired now). I added some more sparkle using a trio of silver sequins, and some glitter paper.

Some Odd Girl - Thank You Card

Evening! I've been crafting, quietly, in my corner! I have finished all my current custom orders, so, now it's back to crafting, just for fun! I set up a new listing in my store, three cards for $15... Hopefully, it will help move some more stock!
 Now, onto the card -
I started with the image, which I'd stamped a few days ago, it's from Some Odd Girl, and I coloured her up, using my Spectrum Noir Markers. I used the background paper (Echo Park) as the main inspiration. I added some doodling, and some vellum, with a strip of Kraft card, which I'd run through the Big Shot to emboss. I popped the main image panel on, then attached my sentiment, which is in a die-cut speech bubble (MFT Die-namics), I added three silver rhinestones to finish it off.

From the Heart - Digi Stamp - Birds on a Wire - Birthday Card

Good Afternoon!
I've been creating, in between uni readings, and assignments... One of the cards I had to make this week, was for my Nan's birthday, which is next Monday... She's tough to make cards for, generally, as she's not big into florals, or typical nanna colours etc... So, I had to think a little outside the box for this one -
I started by going through my paper stash, to look for my Nan's favourite colour, teal... I came up with this script pattern from Teresa Collins, and paired it with some old My Minds Eye, and a piece of more current My Minds Eye (one of their journaling/Project Life boxes). I then went through my digital stamp files, and thought this one by From the Heart would be usable, as my Nan actually really likes birds... I printed it on to Vanilla card stock, and then coloured it up with my Spectrum Noir Markers. The sentiment is made up of two different stamps, one from Some Odd Girl, the other from Kraftin' Kimmie. I trimmed the image panel down, and popped it on to the journaling card. I built up the rest of my card, using Kraft card stock (behind the spotted paper, as a border), Kraft coloured ribbon and an aqua medium resin rose. I also added a trio of rhinestones, and a die cut doily shape (from Vellum) behine the image panel...

My Favourite Things + TAWS Birthday Card

Hi guys!
I've got another card to share today! (keep an eye out, you may get seconds today!)
This is a fairly clean and simple card, for me, anyway! I have started by stamping, and colouring up this big cupcake chicky, from My Favourite Things, then fussy cut her out (cause life wasn't difficult enough.... Look at those skinny legs!) anyway, I then picked out my background.... I used some printed vellum, from Studio Calico, and some patterned paper from Echo Park. The pink piece was run through the big shot. Next up, the sentiment, it's from Jibber Jabber, by The Alley Way Stamps, and I've stamped the dotty border that comes in the set in light pink ink as well... I finished this card off with lots of doodling, and a trio of rhinestones!
I'm entering this into two challenges, the first is the CAS(E) this Sketch!, #21 (which I've flipped), and the second is the inspiration pic from The Alley Way Stamps Blog
Thanks for popping by! I will schedule another post for this afternoon, so keep an eye out!

Kraftin' Kimmie Tinkerbell

Hi guys! I have a card to share, that I made last night... I have a secret as to what gets my craft mojo back... I just make a scrapbook page, and then I go back to cards, and everything just falls into place.... Here is the card I made -
Meet Tinkerbell, I was lucky enough to win this stamp from the Kraftin' Kimmie Blog, from one of their challenges... It arrived yesterday, so I knew I had to get it out and play! I stamped her on Blending card, on Vellum and on some Kaisercraft patterned paper. I paper pieced her outfit, and her wings, and coloured the rest of her up with my Spectrum Noir Markers and fussy cut her out. I assembled the patterned papers (all from my scrap drawer, I think two are Kaisercraft and the aqua one is Crate Paper, which I stamped with the En Francais stamp and White ink)  I layered them all up on white card stock, and stitched around them using a zig zag stitch on my sewing machine. I then layered them all on to some light pink card for the base. The main image circle was cut out using my Big Shot and nesting circles and the glittered scallop circle was cut the same way. I tied a white satin ribbon bow, and attached it using my hot glue gun... I also added a cluster of paper flowers and a hat pin, which I have bent back up on itself so it's not poking off of the card. I added some mint rhinestones in her hair clip and off of the dangly part of her belt...
I am entering this into three challenges, the first is the sketch for Mojo Monday, next up is to use Stitching for Kraftin' Kimmie and I used the colours from The Playdate Cafe challenge.

Magnolia "Relax" Card

Hello Again! Back today with the newest Feeling Sketchy post which should have gone live the same time this post does :) Don't forget to pop over to our Facebook page, and 'like it' as there will be a giveaway at 200 fans! Here is this weeks sketch -
And my interpretation -
This is my first ever Magnolia card....! I coloured her using my Stampin' Write Markers and blender pen, and then cut her out. I used a Crumbcake base layered up with papers from My Minds Eye, and a Spellbinders nestie scalloped circle, and normal circle. I stamped "Relax" which is from Unity in Island Indigo ink and sponged a grounding for Magnolia. I layered everythin up, and then popped Liquid Pearls around her jewellery and the scallops. The butterfly punch is by Martha Stewart, and has been punched twice, once in patterned paper, and once in Vellum.
Thanks for dropping around, and we'd love to see your creations over at the Feeling Sketchy Blog!

Sweet Anya and I create a Mother's Day card

Hi! I stayed up late (ish) last night, talking with Annmaree (emu) and playing with paper... Perfect night really! Here is what I made -
I had the background paper out from another project, which I'd decided not to use, so I couldn't let it go astray. It is from the 6x6 paper pad Fabulous by Simple Stories, I've layered it onto some Crumbcake card and then set it aside to colour my little Anya. I stamped her on watercolour paper, using Staz On ink, and coloured her with my Stampin Write Markers, I also added a touch of shading to her skin using Tombow watercolour marker 990 (light sand.) I popped her to the side, and continued building my card. I cut out a doily from vellum using my Cheery Lynn French Doily Die, and glued it down to the patterned paper. I attached some hand dyed lace from D-Lish Scraps and added a button and a little bit of jute twine. I stamped the sentiment, from Stampin' Up!'s Friendly Phrases onto a piece of Confetti White card stock (sponged with River Rock ink) and attached it to a slightly bigger piece of Crumbcake before attaching it to the card base with small dimensionals. Lastly, my Anya, stuck down with higher dimensionals.
I am entering this into three challenges - First is the Tuesday Morning Sketch which I have been meaning to get back and play with... Next up is the Ribbon Carousel "word to your mother" challenge for mother's day, and finally the Anyone for Anya? Lace challenge

Stampin' Up! Bird on a Branch and I create a Springtime Blank Card

Hi Guys!
Back again with another card to share before bed! :)
This is a fairly basic card, I have used a Confetti White card base, layered with patterned paper from Kaisercraft, although, I felt it was too bright for this card, so I toned it down using plain vellum. I added a small piece of So Saffron card stock, layered with some Confetti White card which I'd run through the Bigshot with a woodgrain embossing folder. I added some pretty pink ruffled ribbon, and tied a bow. The main image is from the retired Stampin' Up! set Bird on a Branch and has been stamped using Stampin' Write Markers and sponged with Bashful Blue. I added three little Rhinestones and left this card blank, with no sentiment.
I am entering this into three challenges, the first is the Embellish Magazine challenge, next up is the Freshly Made Sketches challenge, and finally The Paper Players Spring Challenge.

Stampin' Up! Welcome Christmas and I make a quick and easy Christmas Card

Hi guys! This was the second card I made last night
This is one of my newest acquisitions from Stampin' Up! It's a beautiful Christmas set, that includes a few silhouettes, two big sentiments, and this really pretty wreath. I used a piece of Very Vanilla card stock, stamped the wreath in Old Olive, and then with some red stickles, popped some berries on top. The sentiment is one from Gelatins and I have stamped it on some Vellum in Real Red and attached it to my card base using some Stampin' Up! Glitter Brads. I think this fits my criteria for a Christmas card, easy to make multiples :)

I am entering this into the challenge over at Clean & Simple as I followed their sketch. :)
