Stampin' Up! Growing Green and I create a Sympathy card using a Brayer

Hi guys! I had a lovely weekend with my family, as it was my niece (Brianna 4 months old) and Samuel (22 months) had their Christening, and my lovely older sister asked me to be their Godmother! I was so humbled that she and her husband and asked me. I don't have any photos yet of the day... Hopefully soon! So, I didn't get much of a chance to craft over the weekend... Although, I do have a card to share today :)
Ok, so this is a Early Espresso card base, which has been layered with Very Vanilla (the littlest bit poking out) I then got out a piece of Gloss Card stock and with my brayer coloured it in using Certainly Celery, Pear Pizzazz, Lucky Limeade, Wild Wasabi and Old Olive. Once I'd got the colour variation I wanted, I stamped the leaf from Growing Green in Early Espresso and the sentiment from Because I care.
I am entering this into the CAS-ual Friday Almost Monochrome challenge.
Thanks for stopping by!
As always, Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Thanks for Caring paired with Strength and Hope makes Sympathy cards

Hi all, I know I've been absent for a little while, what with it being peak uni assignment period, my niece about to arrive (my sister has been having contractions for 3 days) and coming down with the flu, I haven't felt like crafting. I have also had news that my exchange sister, in Japan has had her grandma die this past week, so I needed to make a sympathy card to pop in the mail....
A nice, clean and simple card. Gosh I love clean and simple cards.... This is a Whisper White card base, layered with some Perfect Plum which has been punched with the Eyelet Border punch, tone on tone stamped with the flourish from Hope and Strength, and sponged in Perfect Plum. The sentiment is from Thanks for Caring, the Pear Pizzazz layer (punched with the Decorative Label) has been stamped tone on tone with the words from Strength and Hope and also sponged. The 'with Love & Caring' was coloured using my Stampin' Write markers in Perfect Plum and Baja Breeze and mounted using dimensional. I have then used my Big Shot, and Embossolits die to create some vellum butterflies. A piece of ribbon tied in a knot and a few rhinestones finish off this card. Here is a close up of my butterflies...
I am entering this into a few challenges, the first being Less is More Butterfly challenge, the next is the CAS-ual Fridays Bling Challenge, and then finally, the Just Add Ink colour challenge.
Well, I have to finish this assignment off in the next day or so, but after that, I should be able to get back into crafting... I have some invites to make up next week, so stay tuned for those...
Until then....
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Thanks for Caring and I create more Sympathy Cards

In my last post, I complained about not having enough Sympathy cards, and my need to rectify this issue. When Stampin' Up!'s Winter mini came out, I skipped over the Thanks for Caring set, thinking it wasn't for me...But, after having a craft afternoon at Kim's house last week with Kim and Sue, I've changed my mind....
I've tried to keep this card very clean and simple, as I didn't want it to be over the top. I have used Sahara Sand, Bashful Blue, Perfect Plum and Very Vanilla. I have inked the sentiment with my Stampin' Write Markers (direct to stamp method), and stamped it on some Very Vanilla. A few small silver brads in the corners and some card stock layering, and I had decided that I was finished.
Head on over to Kim and Sue's blogs to see their versions of this card.
Until next time, Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! French Foliage and I create a Sympathy Card

I find I don't have many Sympathy cards in my stash, and when the time comes that I need to send one, I don't feel like making them. So, I decided I needed to add a few more. Today, I went shopping, and bought a new impressions folder for my Big Shot, so once returning home, I had to play. I tried embossing on acetate here.
I have used a stamp from Stampin' Up! Winter Mini catalogue, French Foliage to create the "flower"out of some leaves which have been inked using sponges. Also, from the Stampin' Up! Winter Mini is that Decorative Label Punch, which is ever so popular! I have used Chocolate Chip, Cherry Cobbler and Peach Parfait inks.
I am entering this card into the Less is More Challenge, ("hi" to all the LIMettes!) which is to use acetate.
I'll be back in a little while with some more cards I have made using products out of the new mini!
