Stampin' Up! Birthday Card.

So, in the mail today arrived my newest Stampin' Up! Newsletter, which suggested an awesome technique... The ability to change Clear Embossing powder to coloured, just by using your Stampin' Pastels! I thought it was such a cool technique, I had to try it out straight away... So, I went looking for a card sketch, and found the 2 Sketchs 4 You Challenge had gone up! So, I used the sketch from there (well a slightly modified version....)
I have had it in mind to do the Curtain Call Colour Challenge for a few days now... I've had the colours sitting on my desk. I find these colours incredibly difficult, as to me they scream Halloween, and it's not something we celebrate here in Australia, so I tend to try to avoid doing anything Halloween-y....
So, I played around and this is what I came up with. It is for one of my friends who is celebrating her 18th birthday tomorrow. I think it turned out okay.... Loving that clear embossing with colour technique, and one which I think I will use more often, and demonstrate soon!
Thanks for looking, and go join in some of these fun challenges
