Stampin' Up! Whimsical Words and I create a Thank You card

At this time of year, I find I need a lot of Thank You cards among my Christmas cards, so I sat down and made this one today
I used a More Mustard card base, then layered it up with some Whisper White. The main image panel is the Stampin' Up! Builder Wheel Polka Dots, which I unmounted it to make it easier to use, I cut out a border using Wild Wasabi card and mounted it behind the polka dots. I then cut out two circles, one in Whisper White, the other in Wisteria Wonder.  I stamped the sentiment, from retired set Whimsical Words in Wisteria Wonder (there are a lot of W's in this paragraph!) Then with some mustard felt, I cut out 2 rolled roses using a new addition to my Big Shot, which is a rolled rose die. I stuck them down on two Wild Wasabi leaves cut out using the 2-step bird punch. A little bit of twine finishes off this card.
I took inspiration from a new challenge blog that is extremely popular so far, Runway Inspired Challenge, I have been inspired by the colours, the mustard, dark green, white and pop of purple (what is with those glasses?) I was also inspired by the actual catwalk, while I haven't used stripes, but instead I've used polka dots. I also used the sketch from Cardabilities , and finally, the Ribbon Carousel Challenge which was to use Twine.

Stampin' Up! Whimsical Words and I {heart] Hearts

Back again, to show you the Clean and Simple Card I made :)
The pink section of this card was made by colouring my Acrylic Block with my Stampin' Write Markers in Real Red, Riding Hood Red and Cherry Cobbler, spritzing it with a little bit of water then smooshing (technical hey?) it on to my card front.... I did this a couple of times, as I used a small block... Once it was dry (this takes a while) I stamped the outline heart from I {heart} Hearts in black, I used the small part of the Whimsical Words sentiment, "follow your heart, it knows the way" but selectively left out the heart....
I don't know if I particularly like this card, but for a CAS card, I think it works....
I am entering this over at Less Is More where this weeks challenge is a one layer card featuring at least one heart... So, there you go....
Thanks for dropping back, and I'd also like to give a shout out to my newest followers, you guys make me smile, and make this worth while....!

Stampin' Up! Whimsical Words and I create a Birthday card

Hi Hi! I'm back with another card to show you :)
Another fairly basic card. It is a Confetti White card base, layered with another piece of Newsprint DSP (retired) which has been sponged in So Saffron. I then cut a strip of So Saffron, which I ran through the Big Shot and the Lattice Embossing Folder, sponged a little bit of More Mustard on the edges, and before gluing it down, tied a piece of Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon around it. I then cut out a circle using the Circle Scissors, sponged the edge, and then stamped the sentiment, which is from Whimsical Words. I stamped the butterfly from Grace Taylor on a piece of watercolour paper, and coloured it using my Stampin' Write Markers, Blender Pens and Ink pad in More Mustard. I cut around the butterfly very carefully and attached him using a little piece of dimesional...
I am entering this card into three challenges, the first is the Freshly Made Sketches sketch, see below. I am also entering this into the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger, and finally I am entering this into the Ribbon Carousel Anything Goes challenge.
Thanks for dropping by again :)

Stampin' Up! Medallion and I make matching Christening cards

Hi there! My wonderful Nephew (Samuel) and Niece (Brianna) are getting Christened this coming weekend, and of course I needed to make them a card each!
So, I used Baja Breeze for Sam's card and the medallion stamp inked in Versamark and some non- Stampin' Up! Holographic clear embossing powder. For Bree's I used the same stamp and embossing powder, but used Rose Red as the base and sentiment stamp. I think "Happiness Always" is appropriate for a Christening, but I have never been to one, other than my own.... so, correct me if I'm wrong! The sentiment is from Whimsical Words, and is one of my favourites!
Here are some more pictures...
I am entering these in to the Less is More anything C/Simple goes....
Thanks for dropping by!

Stampin' Up! I {Heart} Hearts and I create an Encouragement card

Ok, I know I'm supposed to be doing uni work, but as I was having a coffee break (any excuse will do) inspiration hit! I think my mojo is here for a little while, so I'm not going to turn it away :)
This card created itself, it really did! I started with a Pear Pizzazz base, layered it with a piece of Melon Mambo Designer Series Paper from the Brights stack and a piece of Regal Rose card. I stamped the sentiment from Whimsical Words (retired) in Versa Mark then heat embossed it in Black. I stamped a bunch of hearts from I {Heart} Hearts in Regal Rose, Melon Mambo and Pear Pizzazz, I cut them out and arranged them on the card using pop dots to add some dimension. I then wrapped a piece of Wild Wasabi stitched ribbon (retired) around the base and tied a knot. I finished it off with three rhinestones in opposing corners.
I am entering this into two challenges, the first is The Stamp Spot Sketch challenge, which is a brand new monthly challenge. The second challenge is the Play Date Cafe colour challenge, which makes me think of summer (not difficult considering the BEAUTIFUL weather we are having!)
Ok, so that's me for now... My little sister should be here soon and then it is grocery shopping for me (blergh)
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Awash with Flowers and I make Just because cards

Hi all, I have been super busy preparing for my team mini launch night, which is happening tomorrow, so haven't been super active on the blog front... but.... I did want to drop in to show you a card I made tonight after getting everything packed up and ready to go....
Just a super quick one before heading to bed... This is my newest acquisition... The Stampin' Up! Two Step stamp, Awash with Flowers. I have used inspiration from the Just Add Ink Challenge, which was to make a paper craft project using your favourite chocolate bar as inspiration.... At the moment, my favourite chocolate bar is the Chunky Kit Kat, yup.... it has to be the chunky kind....
I have used real red on my card, but looking at the wrapper, I'm thinking poppy parade may have been a better choice..... Either way, I'm happy with how this card turned out!
Pop back in the next few days to see photos from our awesome launch event!
