Stampin' Up! The Open Sea (Summer Mini Release) and I create a masculine Card

Hi guys! I have another card to share today, one that uses a stamp set from the newest Summer Mini catalogue, it is the first time I have actually inked up this stamp!

I used a Crumbcake base, which I layered with some lace dyed using a Soft Suede ink refill. The main image is Vanilla card stock, and it has been distressed, and stamped using Crumbcake, Soft Suede and Early Espresso, using The Open Sea stamp set. I have layered it on some distressed Soft Suede. The sentiment is from Grunge Rock, which is a great masculine set. 

I am playing along with Chupa's Sketchbook Saturday challenge, and the Do You Stack Up, something old challenge.

Stampin' Up! Summer Mini Carry Over Products

Some times, when really awesome products are in the mini catalogues, Stampin' Up! makes the decision to keep them on.... there were a number of these items from the Summer Mini Catalogue....
Some of the great products that are being carried over include the smooch spritz (oh so pretty on vintage cards/layouts), the bigshot accessories - lattice embossing folder and Scallop Square Die, a number of punches, and the very pretty lace!

Stampin' Up! Well Scripted makes Elegant Mothers Day Cards

Hi All,
Back again with another Mothers day card to share with you

Now, I made this card for a few challenges.... The Less is More Pastel Challenge, which was a difficult one for me... And also, for The ABC pink challenge. I'm not entirely happy with this, but I think it's because I think it looks unfinished... I used a retired SU! stamp I bought about 2 years ago (maybe 3) and the sentiment is from my favourite Summer Mini Catalogue Stamp Set, Well Scripted.
