Bon Voyage Card.

At the moment, at ScrapTherapy, the January theme is Journeys. My parents are going on their first overseas trip together in May, and while it is still a few months to go, I thought now is as good a time as nay to make the Bon Voyage Card for them. This way, I get to participate in the Therapy challenges...
My parents are going to Japan for two weeks to see my exchange sister get married, and explore Hiroshima, where she lives. They are both super excited to be going!
I have a confession to make... I have never made a Bon Voyage Card... Ever!
So, I did a google search, to see what others have come up with for this theme. I found some wonderful designs. But fell completely in love with this one as soon as I saw it. I apologise to the person who made this card, I cannot find out who it is, but all credit goes to that creative person for a wonderful design idea. (If you know who first created this card, please leave a comment, and I will credit them fully)

Now, on to my version of the card. It is made using some cream card stock, I inked the edges using Versa Color ink, in Sand Beige. Then mounted Kraft card on top. I downloaded some vintage look international stickers, which I then printed. (Meanwhile discovering I am out of blue ink in the printer *sad face*) Then from my ribbon stash, came the brown ribbon, (I bought it from a $2 shop.) The tag says "Mum & Dad" in white paint marker and the sentiment is printed in black ink using the font Stamp Act. I like how it turned out, but I have to admit, it has nothing on the original idea...
