New Baby Boy Card - Some Odd Girl

Hi again! I've been busy, setting up a secondary store, to try and get my little brand (JessideeHandmade) to go international! I've been setting up, and stocking a store over on Etsy, as well as keeping my madeit store puttering along! 

Anyway, I have another new baby card to share today!

For this card, I started by selecting my papers, I wanted something bright, vibrant and fun for a new baby boy card. I then grabbed my digital images that I've had printed for a couple of weeks, and set to colouring up this Some Odd Girl digi. Usually, I leave her legs skin tone, and assume she's wearing a really short dress, this time, I gave her denim jeans.. I fussy cut her out, and set her aside, to build my card... I used patterned paper from Echo Park, as well as one from an unknown paper pad (it was given to me by a friend) I die cut some shapes, including the circle, pennants and scallop circle. I attached them all (with my usual doodling) and then focused on the sentiment, which I made using a wooden embellishment and a tiny tag, from the Stampin' Up! set Tiny Tags. I added a Freckled Fawn resin star, and a couple of sequins.

I do have a card to share today too... One I had a lot of fun creating. On Christmas eve, I went through my box of off-cuts and put 2-3 pieces together to create combinations to use before the new year arrived, so I could actually use some of the stuff that has been in my stash for too long! This card uses patterned papers from that stash... 

The patterned paper on this card is My Minds Eye, Echo Park, and a small piece from Amy Tangerine. I did my customary doodling, and added some lilac ribbon, a star button and a sentiment tag, which simply says "4 You" I figured with the Kraftin' Kimmie - Angry Ballerina, this card could work as a "Sorry" Card, or a birthday card, with a sentiment such as "it's only another year" on the inside.

Some Odd Girl - Sweet Thinkin' Mae

Hi Guys! Back today to share my most recent DT post for The Stamp Spot

I used Sweet Thinkin' Mae and coloured her up using my Spectrum Noir Markers
I then set to making my card. I used patterned paper from the Cosmo Cricket Baby Jane 6x6 paper pad, as well as Dot Textured Yellow Cardstock and Grosgrain Ribbon in Aqua for the little ribbon loops a button from my stash and two tiny little tags all tied up with some Twine. I layered it all on some Aquamarine cardstock and called it done :)

Some Odd Girl - Hey Kaylee and I create a "Hello" Card

Hi guys! Not that long ago, Some Odd Girls held a blog hop for their newest releases, and I was lucky enough to win a prize! I won this lovely stamp set

Isn't it just the cutest stamp set ever? Well... I finally had a chance to ink her up this evening... and created this card

A Crumbcake (Kraft) card base layered with patterned paper from My Minds Eye, Wisteria Wonder card stock which I have run through the Big Shot with an embossing folder, and another piece of Crumbcake which I have wrapped some thin Calypso Coral ribbon around and made a multi-looped bow with a brad securing them together. The Kaylee looks incredibly pale in this photo, but I will try to get a better one in the sunshine tomorrow, she was coloured with my Stampin Write Markers.

C.C. Designs paired with Kaisercraft Hummingbird Collection creates a Summery For You card

Hi Hi! I had the house to myself again tonnight, so, I got to do my favourite thing in peace... Craft! I also went to Spotlight today, and came back with the Kaisercraft Hummingbird 6.5"x6.5" paper pad, which I had to use straight away! So, here is one of my efforts:

This is a Poppy Parade card base, layered with some Hummingbird paper (the red pieces are foiled, and oh so shiny!) I coloured this C.C. Designs Honey - Summer using my Stampin' Write Markers and then fussy cut her out and popped her on a distress inked circle. I placed the diecut circle on a pretty white doily and wrapped some red and white bakers twine around with a tag that says 4 you.

Stampin' Up! Every Moment and Tiny Tags make a pretty Thank You card

Ok, so I've watercolouring like mad lately (can you tell?) :-P And, tonight was no different! I made up a card using a stamp set that was yet to see ink... So, I broke it out tonight...

The first thing I did on this card was to stamp those daisies. I stamped them on some watercolour paper using a mask to get them to sit behind one another. I then watercoloured them using my Stampin' Write Markers. Once that was done, I found some matching card stock. The base is So Saffron, followed by Whisper White, and then Bashful Blue which I had run through the Big Shot with an embossing folder, than with some Craft White ink, I sponged over the top to make the circles 'pop.' I added some beautiful satin pleated ribbon that I won from The Ribbon Carousel Facebook Page, and tied a bow, adding a sentiment from Tiny Tags. The main image panel has dimensionals underneath to make it stand out :)

I am entering this into a couple of challenges... First up, is the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches, I thought those two thin lines weren't going to look balanced, but I think it works now that I've made it... Next up is the Simon Says Stamp Dots or Stripes challenge, and last but not least the Ribbon Carousel Challenge, which was to be inspired by this delicious cupcake image (below). I was inspired by that adorable baby blue and the delicate feel to the image... (not sure I've translated it correctly, but hey, I'll give it a shot)

Stampin' Up! Tiny Tags and Extreme Elements make a teen birthday card

Hi guys... my mojo is a little bit on the fritz today... which is disappointing, as I have the whole day to craft! So, I sat and water coloured for a while, and then built the card using a layout I've used numerous times, so there was no thinking involved...

This little alternative guy I bought from The Greeting Farm a while ago, but just hadn't gotten around to colouring him... I used my Stampin' Write Markers and a Blender Pen. I cut him out (in three pieces cause I messed up colouring his clothing, and had to redo them) and then pieced him back together on a piece of Whisper White, which I'd sponged with Tempting Turquoise. The 'splattered' panel is Tempting Turquoise, and has been stamped using Extreme Elements and sponged around the edges. I then wrapped some bakers twine and added a couple of Tiny Tags. I added 3 red rhinestones, and called it done....

Stampin' Up! Tiny Tags and I create a Thank You Card

I'm back again with another card featuring some watercolouring :)

This is a Perfect Plum card base, which I have layered with a piece of designer series paper from the retired Sew Suite. I sponged around the edges of the DSP using So Saffron ink. I layered the Seam Binding Ribbon around it, and tied a little bow. Gosh I love that stuff! I had coloured this little girl from MFT the night before last, using my Stampin' Write Markers, Blender Pen and Ink Pads. I cut her out, and put her on a piece of Very Vanilla which I had sponged with So Saffron. I popped it onto a piece of Certainly Celery and added my sentiment, which is from Tiny Tags. 

I am entering this into two challenges, the first is the Play Date Cafe colour challenge, and secondly the Mojo Monday sketch.

Stampin' Up! Tiny Tags, and Scallop Rolled Roses on a cheery Hello card

Hi again, tonight after making dinner, I headed into the craft room, and struggled (a lot!) to make a card I was happy with... but, eventually I succeeded...

I started off knowing I wanted to use the newest sketch from Card Pattens, but little else. I didn't know what I wanted to go in the circle element, what colours, embellishments or even stamps that I wanted to use... So, after a bit of experimenting, I decided to colour this darling little girl from My Favourite Things, and paper pieced her top. I then figured as I'd paper pieced, I knew I could enter it in to The Lollipop Ladies challenge, so I took inspiration from the cupcakes, pulled out some Crumbcake card stock, made a card base layered some Rich Razzleberry and Tempting Turquoise for a fun colour palette, while not being the same as those in the cupcakes gives me the same fun impression... I rolled some scallop roses, and one out of a circle, which I have posted a tutorial to here, and cut out a little leaf using the Bigshot and Little Leaves sizzlet. I used Tiny Tags and matching punch to create a sentiment and popped it just behind the roses, peeking out. A row of rhinestones finished off this card nicely... I am also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp and Show Stamptember hop!

Stampin' Up! Look Who's Turning paired with Fox and Friends for Kids Birthday!

I have made another card, after struggling with it most afternoon... I have had a tough time of card making recently, I know I am overthinking it, but I am bored with all my stamps and inks, and everything in my craft room is annoying me a bit... so, to produce anything that I'm slightly happy with to post here is a milestone!

The funny thing about this card... I don't even know any soon to be 4 year old girls.... I started out stamping the owl, giraffe (I <3 Giraffes) and turtle from Fox and Friends in Regal Rose, Rose Red and Pretty in Pink. I then mounted it on a slightly bigger piece of Rose Red. I stamped the Regal Red card with the number strip from Look Who's Turning in VersaMark and clear embossed it. I set that aside, remembered I had Pretty in Pink Grosgrain ribbon and a button, so pulled them out, wrapped it around the Rose Red and attached a tag from Tiny Tags, the four is from the 4 You sentiment, but I have only coloured the number in using my Stampin' Write Markers. I attached it using some Red and White Bakers twine, and stamped the Look Who's Turning sentiment in Black Staz On. 

I am entering this into the Paper Players colour challenge, which I have been fiddling around with all evening....

Stampin' Up! Just Believe and Tiny Tags to create a Thank You Card

I know you've all seen this image before, but today, I had a little bit of spare time in between study activities to quickly pull together a card

I have just used the image that I created on my first Brayering attempt and some Basic Black and Whisper White card stock. The lovely bracket at the bottom is from the Top Note die through the Big Shot. I adore my Tiny Tags stamp set and matching punch as it works on almost every layout. I have added some Basic Black Grosgrain Ribbon and a bow finished off with a white button.

Stampin' Up Sweet Stitches and Tiny Tags make a Chocolate Card

I am so super excited about this post, as it is my first as a Guest Designer over at Just Add Ink. I was so stoked to be chosen as one of their guest designers, and I am happy to share this experience with you guys! This weeks challenge is Just Add - Tearing, Ripping, Distressing. So, here is my take on the challenge

 

So, this is my chocolate block card... I have used a piece of Chocolate Chip card which I have sponged to make pieces using Chocolate Chip ink and a who wad of post it notes. Once I had finished the block, I wrapped a little bit of foil around the bottom and some Sweet Stitches Designer Series Paper (retired) I placed some Daffodil Delight ribbon around as well as a button sewn on with two little tags from Tiny Tags Stamp set and coordinating punch. A little bit of tearing at the top of the foil and DSP and some sponging and the block was placed on a piece of Whisper White card.

Stampin' Up! Little Leaves, Scallop Roses and Tiny Tags for a Thank You Card

Hi, I made this card with someone special in mind. Someone who has done a lot for me over the past few (very) stressful days. So, here is the card

So, this is another Crumbcake base, which has been layered with Not Quite Navy, sponged around the edges in Night of Navy. I have sponged a background for the little girl (which was coloured with Stampin' Write markers and a blender pen) using So Saffron and a touch of Peach Parfait. I sponged a piece of card in green then sprayed it with water, after it was dry, I ran it through the Big Shot with the Little Leaves Sizzlet. I layered that on the side of my card on top of some Peach Parfait strips. I tied a piece of twine around the border, looped my Tiny Tag in it and tied a bow. I then made some Rolled Scallop Roses, which I have made a tutorial for here, I then stuck them on using some dimensionals.

I am entering this into The Sweetest Thing sketch challenge. I made it a rectangle card, as I don't work well with squares....

Stampin' Up! Water Colour Paper makes the difference in Water Colouring!

I have recently discovered how big a difference colouring with your Stampin' Write Markers is when colouring on Stampin' Up!'s Water Colour Paper. To be honest, I was hesitant in spending the extra money on the paper, but I got it as part of the hostess benefits from Stamp Club last month... I can't believe how simple it makes colouring, how effortless it is to get the colours blending and looking like other high end markers... So, I've been on a bit of a colouring kick... Here is my card for today...

Once again, I have used an image from The Greeting Farm, which has been embossed using black embossing powder and coloured using my Stampin' Write Markers and a Blender Pen. Her hair is Soft Suede and Early Espresso, her skin is Blush Blossom with touches of Pretty in Pink, her shirt is Certainly Celery and her pants are Crumbcake. The card base is Confetti White with a piece of patterned paper which was a bit too bright, so I have layered some Vellum over the top. A piece of Pretty in Pink cut into a flag shape and run through the Big Shot with the Polka Dots embossing folder and a piece of Crumbcake which has been punched using the eyelet border punch. I have used the Tag Punch and the Tiny Tags stamp set to finish off this card with a sentiment and three little pinkish pearls. 

I am entering this into two challenges... The first is The Lollipop Ladies challenge, which is the Princess cake inspiration (below) and the twist which is to use pearls, the second challenge is The Sweetest Thing Sunday Sketch. (below)

Anyway, Mark is in the craft room, fixing the broken window for me, so I can go back into the warmth and create some more,

Stampin' Up! Artistic Etchings and Medallion paired to make Vintage Thank You Cards

I seem to have found my mojo, must have been camped in my super messy craft room, must have uncovered it while doing a quick clean up last night.... Half of my ink pads and stamp sets are at my mums house waiting for me to join them tonight, for Stamp Club tomorrow, so this was done using Stampin' Write Markers....

To start with, I used a Cherry Cobbler card base which I have layered with some Basic Black. The grid paper is from my favourite pack of Designer Series Paper- Newsprint. I have stamped the Eiffel Tower using Cherry Cobbler, masked it and stamped the Medallion using Soft Suede ink. I have tied a piece of Satin Ribbon around the base and added a tag from Tiny Tags and cut it out using the matching punch, a small hole in one end and a little bit of twine finishes this card off. 

I am entering this into the Just Add Ink colour challenge which I struggled with at first, but that's what a challenge is all about isn't it?
