Australia Day - Scrapbooking!

Hiya!
I received a parcel of goodies the other day, from D-Lish Scraps, as soon as it arrived, I had to play! I went through the store, and ordered a whole bunch of yummy goodies for this months inspiration board challenge!

And, here is my layout -
I had this photo, which was taken after my friend Angela did my hair an make up, before we hit the town on Australia Day. I thought I'd already scrapbooked it, but apparently not!
The background paper is from Kaisercraft, and I've used a scrap of pink and yellow paper from this card the other day. I also had some left overs from my foray into Project Life, and decided to use them on this layout! I used a whole range of loveliness from the D-lish store, including:
I also used some resin shapes and paper flowers I've had in my stash a while... I used stamps from Give a Girl a Blog, and stickers from My Minds Eye and Bella Blvd (I think) as well as a die-cut mustache (I can't remember which company this one was!)
Here is the close up collage -

As you can probably tell, my main inspiration for this layout was the colour scheme, the chevrons and a very loose interpretation on the sketch!
Don't forget to pop over and play for this months prize!

Masculine Card using Sn@p Project Life Cards and My Favourite Things

Hiya guys! I've got a masculine card to share today. I received some awesome new goodies in the mail the other day from The Stamp Spot, and couldn't wait to get down to craft!
Here is a peek of the yummies that arrived in my mail box -
These ranges by Sn@p are aimed mostly at Project Lifers, (people who document their lives through Project Life), but once I had a look at the range in store, I fell in love, and had to get them!
Here is the card I created -
I started out by flicking through the 24/seven paper pads, both the 6x6 and the 4x6, I selected the arrow background paper, and the "seriously" voice bubble. I then picked out a sentiment from the MFT - Graphic Tee set, and stamped it in Cherry Cobbler ink. I then embossed some kraft cardstock with my chevron embossing folder and attached some scallop ribbon and twine, to cover the join. I then attached my "journal card"  and grabbed out some Studio Calico chipboard arrow stickers, they matched the colours of the patterned paper almost perfectly! I also popped a strip of washi tape behind the journaling card, as a last minute addition.
Here is the close up-
I am entering this into two challenges. The first is the sketch from Sketchy Friday (rotated) and the Creative Card Crew - Masculine challenge
If you're looking for a bunch of inspiration, don't forget to head to the Stamp Spot blog, and check out what the rest of the design team have been up to!

Scrapbooking with Project Life - Giveaway!

Hello!
I'm here to share a scrapbook page made using some bits from a Project Life kit that I bought from the store... I bought lots of little bits and pieces, for my Smash journal, and have yet to get into Project Life, so I was thinking of other ways to use my bits and bobs on cards and scrap pages... Here is what I made today!
I started out with a piece of patterned paper from Echo Park, layered it up with a chipboard overlay, which I've left raw.. I gathered my supplies... I used a piece from Photo Freedom (EPP), and one of the reverses of OA Midway Journaling Card.  (it's the silver stars)
I used some of my favourite washi tapes - Black Chevron and Yellow Stripe, then added a crochet doily and flower, a button and a wood veneer in the shape of a heart, as well as a hat pin. Above the washi tape - there is a Amy Tangerine sticker.
On this side, there is a findingnana button, from Honeycomb & Chevron, a speech bubble from WeRMK stamp set, called Text Messages (keep an eye on the store, they'll be up soon), and the little hearts are from The Alley Way Stamps, which I have coloured in with my Spectrum Noirs
I am entering this into the Stuck?! sketches Feb 15 Challenge
Now, I do have a giveaway too....
Want to win the 2 rolls of washi tape I used on this page?!
All you need to do, is comment on this post (at the Stamp Spot blog) before the 28th of February... I will draw a winner from the comments! So, comment on!
