Happy Mail and Creations using new stamps!

I got happy mail when I arrived home today! I ordered these two Pure Innocence stamps from the United States. I have seen some wonderful cards made using these stamps, so just had to add them to my collection!
I decided to use them to create two cards. I made one for the Inkspirations Challenge
I coloured my image first, using my Derwent Pencils and baby oil, to make it water-colour ish.... I layered this on a piece of Night of Navy, and Island Oasis DSP and a piece of white ribbon. I stamped the celebrate with Versamark, and embossed it in white. I love how this card turned out!
Now, onto my second card. I used the Mojo Monday sketch
Now, to be completely honest, I don't like this card... Something seems wrong with it... I coloured my PI image using the same method as above, then fussy cut it out. I added a little bit of Glossy accents on her shoes to make them look shiny. I used more Island Oasis DSP, and Turquoise, White and Daffodil C/Stocks.
Let me know what you think of these two cards?

  1. Love the Island Oasis + Night of Navy combination! Very pretty! I am so glad I added that DSP to my order today! The Princess card is soooo cute. I think you are being to hard on yourself. Perhaps some embossing on the turquoise might have given it a lift? But ... it is pretty perfect just as it is! Hugs xxaxx

  2. Hi Jess,
I like both your cards - simplicity totally eludes me, but you've got it down pat. The colours look great too.

  4. These are so cute! I love PI stamps. :-) I agree with Andrea, you're being too hard on yourself! You could try deepening the colouring on her? Then it would pop out more over the DSP. :-)
