I stamped my little birdy on whisper white cardstock in Elegant Eggplant, then tried a few different things on the other side, hating each and every one. Then I hit the jackpot! Rich Razzleberry, and Elegant Eggplant look awesome together, so out came the rock and roll technique.
Still not happy with the plainess of my white cardstock, I decided to jazz it up with a wheel stamp (Bella's Border) on the other side using a Silver Encore Pad. I layered three punched mini hearts in Basic Grey, Rich Razzleberry and Elegant Eggplant on the border stamp, popping them up with Stampin' Dimensionals.
I layered my white cardstock on Basic Grey, then Rich Razzleberry which was put on the front of a 4.25x5.5 Elegant Eggplant card.

OH WOW, this is beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! Love that bird ... I was thinking along the same lines for this sketch. Hopefully I'll be able to play next week when we get back home. I would never have thought of this colour combo - but you are right. It's so cool!

I adore your dramatic colour combo and I think the subtle wheeling on the right adds just the right amount of detail under the hearts. Beautiful!
