Finding My Wings.

So, I have been itching to get back into scrap booking for a few weeks now. I decided on my theme, and what i was going to use. It has just been a matter of getting inspiration to start. I am creating a mini album, all about me, in 2010.
I had been given a chipboard album to play with a while ago, and never got round to using it! So, I decided to utilise it in this project. I will use the chipboard pages, and if need be, will create my own pages to go into it as well, because I don't think it will all fit in the allocated pages...
I was checking who had updated their blog lately and noticed Annmaree had, about being on a design team, so I checked out her work (gorgeous btw,)and then headed to the challenge blog. The Challenge blog, called Just My Sketches is currently has a challenge going to use their sketch and adapt it to a card or layout using the lyrics ofthis list of songs -
~I WILL REMEMBER YOU Sara McLachlan
~BLESSED Elton John
~TIME OF MY LIFE David Cook
~PUT YOUR RECORDS ON Corinne Bailey Rae
~ONE STEP AT A TIME Jordin Sparks

I have to admit, I had to google them, because I had never heard of them (*blush*)
I chose Time of my Life, by David Cook. Because I found this line
"Finding my Wings"
Which I thought was a beautiful metaphor, for my weight loss journey that I have begun this past month, and what better way to start my mini album than with change for the new year?

Ok, while I get my phone to talk to my computer, here are the details of products used :-)
The Background paper is Basic Grey, patterned paper, from the range Two Scoops, design is Ice Cream Parlor. The circle is from Bella! School days range and the design is the back of School Rules.
The butterfly is stamped with a stamp from Grace Taylor designs, with Graphite Black archival pigment ink pad, on Kraft card stock. The butterfly is also pop-dotted to give some dimension. Its trail is KaiserCraft bling in Ice blue. The sentiment is hand written on copy paper then mounted on more Kraft card stock. The ribbon is from my stash, left over from making baby shower invites for my sister. The circle and edges of the background paper have been distressed with Versa Color Cube in Sand Beige.
Still waiting for the phone to recognise it has been plugged in *sigh* for technology....
