Some Odd Girl - Wedding Card

Hi guys! I'm back today to share a card that I'll be uploading shortly to my madeit and etsy stores.
Here it is -
For this card, I used a Baked brown sugar card base, and layered it up with paper from Teresa Collins. I then grabbed some doilies (gold and plain) and layered them up. I coloured the Some Odd Girl First Dance Mae up, using my Spectrum Noir Markers. I added a gold border to both the card and main image. The final touches were a squin and duo of pearls in opposing corners.
Here is the close up-

Some Odd Girl - First Dance Mae - Wedding Card

Hey Hey, I hope to be able to get a few more cards uploaded to my stores (etsy and madeit) in the coming days, now that I'm pretty much done with assignments (YAY!)
Anyway, on to my card, I had a custom request for a wedding card, so I sat down, and made two, similar cards...
Both cards were made using patterned papers from My Minds Eye and Teresa Collins. I doodled around the edges of the Some Odd Girl Stamp - First Dance Mae which I'd coloured with my Spectrum Noir Markers, I then added a doily and some paper flowers, rhinestones and a shaped  wire heart.
I only have a close up of the blonde one, as the other made it's way into an envelope and was sent on it's way

Feeling Sketchy 2 - Card Sketch DT Post

So, this last week has been fabulous, with the new challenge blog Feeling Sketchy going live, and having some wonderful interpretations of the sketch! It's time to share week 2!
How great is this sketch? That speech balloon? It can be any shape! I can't wait to see what everyone has come up with! Here is my interpretation -
The blue patterned section has been stamped in Versamark (Penny Black background stamp) and heat embossed using clear embossing powder. I then got out my two Distress Inks and inked and blended the embossed piece. I added a strip of black card, embossed with the Big Shot and cut out a Spellbinders frame for the sentiment (which I think is Basic Gray) I added a strip of black velvet ribbon and mounted it all on black card and then on to a white card base.
Don't forget to check out what the other Sketchettes have produced, Annmaree, Jess T and Michelle!
If you think you'd like to play, head on over to the Feeling Sketchy blog, and upload your card. Every entry gets you in the draw to win our monthly prize, which this month is generously supplied by The Stamp Spot.

Stampin' Up! Bliss and I create lovely a Wedding Card

Since our last craft day last week, Sue, Kim and I decided to set some challenges for ourselves. We were curious to see how different our cards would turn out, using exactly the same products, the same layering, everything, except instead of sitting opposite each other, and peeking on what the other is doing, creating 'blind.' We decided to use the Sale-a-bration stamp sets, because we knew we all had them....
Our first card was using the Bliss Stamp set,
The colours that Kim picked out were Early Espresso, Elegant Eggplant, So Saffron and Very Vanilla. Such regal/elegant colours. I used the Bliss set, and the Beautiful Wings Embossolit and some very cool Early Espresso grosgrain ribbon. I also used the Decorative Label Punch, which is new in the Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue. Head on over to Kim's blog to check out her version of this card here and hopefully Sue will be able to upload hers soon!
Until next time,
Happy Stamping!
