Some Odd Girl - Birthday Card "You deserve the ROYAL Treatment"

Hi guys! Sorry for the delays in posting. I got crafty the other night, did something I rarely do, and since then, this card has been on my desk....
So, for this card, my first stop was the layer with misting. I got some sequin scrap, and sprayed bronze perfect pearls through it, giving it the bubble look. I set it aside to dry, and coloured up "Royal" from Some Odd Girl, with my spectrum Noir Markers. I then layered up some paper from Teresa Collins (this is the boys range!) and doodled around the edges, I added the perfect pearls piece, which I stamped with the sentiment, and added it. Royal has been attached with dimensional adhesive, and I added a trio of rhinestones.
Here's the close up

I've also finally got my markers into a home, that they have been needing! I had them in a box, and their original packaging, yet the box was falling apart and the original packaging was looking wrong... So, I ducked in to Typo yesterday, and grabbed some of their Milk Crates. I was originally only going to get one, as they are usually about $25, but they were on sale for $10 each, so I grabbed the matching pair they had! Look how great they look, filled with my markers!

Feeling Sketchy 26 - Scrapbook Sketch

Hello! I can't believe that Feeling Sketchy has been going for 26 weeks! That's six months! It has gone so so so quickly! Anyway, this week is a scrapbook sketch, and your last chance to get an entry into the Sassy Scrapper giveaway! Here is the sketch -
F-Sketchy 26 Scrapbook
And, here is my scrapbook layout (which I've taken a few liberties with)
I stamped the background using my Chevron stamp from Lawn Fawn, using Basic Grey ink, then using Perfect Pearls mist, I splattered some Turquoise down to give a bit of glimmer. Then, I went through my patterned paper scrap drawer and came out with this mish mash of papers. I believe there is Kaisercraft, My Minds Eye and Teresa Collins in here.
The title is a Twiddleybitz chipboard covered in silver liquid pearls. I doodled around the flag shapes and the main layout, and then added my embellishments -
A My Minds Eye sticker, three matching buttons and of course a strip from my Dymo labeller (how did I live without this awesome machine)
And, there you have it. My scrapbook page about my nephew Sam from when he was itty bitty (he's almost 3 now!)
I hope I've inspired you to head over to the Feeling Sketchy blog and link up your entries. :)

Scrapbooking Photos from Wollongong

Hi guys! I've been scrapbooking this evening!
I used a white piece of cardstock, in 12x12 I painted some texture paste through some Sequin waste, and then once it'd dried, I sprayed some Blue Perfect Pearl mist through a mask. It's really hard to see in the photos :-/
I then cut out two different grey patterned papers (My Minds Eye for both) out, using a Spellbinders die, as well as a MFT Die-namic and glued them down, attached a couple of red rhinestones to it, then laid down one of my favourite crochet doilies and attached a flatback button/charm thing. I cut my photos down from 6x4 to fit behind these awesome Kaisercraft Polaroid frames (I will need more of these, I'm sure) I then used my label maker and wrote the place names (Kanahooka and Wollongong) on the frames. I added a couple of rub ons and my journalling on a pull out tag. Here are some close ups -
You can see a touch of the blue in this one.
The journalling tag has a border die of notebook paper attached to it, to make it look like it has been torn from a notebook.
I doodled around the layout, and called it done :-)
This is being linked up to the Once Upon A Sketch challenge, who have teamed up with CSI Case file #37 - I have used Pen Work (Doodling), Labels and Circles, I've also handwritten my journalling.

Scrapbooking Family Photos

Hello Hello! I'm back again with another Scrapbook page to share! I have been feeling unmotivated to do anything as I struggle with some back pain, so to get myself back into crafting, I made a scrapbook page...
This page kind of evolved a lot during the process. I started playing with paint, mixing Kaisercraft White paint with Sea Breeze to get the Turquoise piece which is painted directly onto the Kraft base (My Minds Eye) and then when it was dry, and hadn't quite worked as it should have (in my head at least) I stamped some Chevrons in Versamark and then applied a bunch of White Embossing Powder and heat set it.  I then made a circle doily mask, and sprayed a mix of two Perfect Pearls Mists on top, I used Forever Blue and Turquoise, I then moved my cardstock and let the mists run to the top of the page. I set the page aside to dry, and gathered my embellishments -
I used a transparency from Fancy Pants and added a lace doily on top, made my own Chevron flat cover buttons, added a celtic heart metal charm and a hat pin which I coloured up with a Spectrum Noir Marker to match the colour scheme. I also added some hemp twine, and a tag with a little bit of journaling on it.
I'm entering this into the Kraft it Up August Sketch challenge -

The Greeting Farm - Chelsea Christmas Card

So, I crafted again today! Wooh! So, here are the fruits of my labour-
I was originally going to use Angel Anya, but couldn't find her, so ended up using Wild Sprout Chelsea instead, and colouring her for a Christmas Card!
I coloured her up using my Spectrum Noir Markers, (of course,) and fussy cut her out. I stamped the Kraft layer using En Francais from Stampin' Up! in white craft ink, and sprayed some perfect pearl mist in copper over the top. I then cut out a doily using my Cheery Lynn Die with printer paper and spritzed it with more perfect pearl mist. I then layered up some ribbons and stitched all around the edge of the Kraft layer. Once that was done, I masked and stamped the present from Gifty Gwen and coloured them up with my markers. I fussy cut them out and then layered them and Chelsea up on some distressed white card and stamped the  sentiment from Gifty Gwen on the card. "Family is the Greatest Gift - Of the Season"
I used inspiration for this card from Splitcoast Stampers - TGFSC23 Sketch, the Anyone for Anya? Christmas in July challenge and the Annabelle Stamps Say it with Christmas.

Feeling Sketchy DT Post

Good Morning! This morning, I'm sharing a scrap book page for the Feeling Sketchy Blog - Here is the sketch to start with -
F-Sketchy 13
I had the perfect picture of my niece that I wanted to scrapbook-
I used patterned paper by Pink Paislee and a piece of photocopy paper for the 'doily.' I cut out my larger scallop circles using the Big Shot and lightly misted it with Perfect Pearls copper spray and then scrunched it up, and undid it. Once it was dry, I punched holes in each of the scallops, using both sizes of the Cropadile. I layered some strips of ribbon from Ribbon Carousel. I then laid down the photo, and set to work on the title. I used a chipboard title and heat embossed it with Metallic Gold Zing Embossing powder. When it was set, I did some dots of Liquid Pearls on some of the letters and set it aside. Once it was dry, I used my hot glue gun to attach it, then I went through my order from D-Lish Scraps and picked out some beautiful flowers to use, I attached all of them with more hot glue, and before I could call it done, a button jumped out of my stash and had to be attached too....
I love how this layout came together, everything just worked :) Don't you love it when that happens? Why not pop over to the Feeling Sketchy blog and join in the fun?

The Greeting Farm For You and Jenny Bowlin Embellishments

Hi again! 2nd Post for today! Don't forget to either scroll down or click here to see my Feeling Sketchy DT Post. This card came together while I was sitting chatting to Annmaree tonight.
I started out with the For You stamp set, I used the little guy from this set not long ago, you may remember it from here.... I had her already coloured, paper pieced, glossy accented and stickled all up... I then built the card around her. I used an Early Espresso card base, layered up with patterned paper from My Minds Eye and Simple Stories, I stitched them together using my sewing machine and distressed the edge of the Gingham paper. I then added a vellum doily from Cheery Lynn Designs I then added a circle of white card stock, spritzed it with Perfect Pearls Mist  in Copper and sponged it the edges with River Rock ink. I then attached my Jenny Bowlin wooden flag and then added a bunch of dimensionals behind my little girl. Three silver rhinestones finish off the card.
I am entering this into three challenges, the first is the Splendid Stamping with The Greeting Farm stitching challenge, next up is the Anyone For Anya? Circles challenge and finally the Moxie Fab World Splatter technique challenge.

Some Odd Girl Angel Kaylee and I create a Birthday Card

Hi guys, just a quick post from me this morning, before I run out the door!
Crumbcake base, with patterned paper from My Minds Eye, and Melon Mambo Trim. I coloured the Angel Kaylee digital stamp using my Stampin' Write Markers and a blender pen. Her wings are a little bit sparkly, with clear/glitter embossing powder. The sentiment is from Sincere Salutations and I've highlighted the circle with some Perfect Pearls.
Entering this into the Some Odd Girl monthly challenge and the Mojo Monday sketch, which I have flipped.
Thanks for popping by!

The Greeting Farm and I create a Masculine Birthday Card

Hi guys! Tonight, I needed to watercolour some frustrations out... So, I stamped a The Greeting Farm stamp, called Edward
This is a Night of Navy card base with patterned paper from Kaisercraft On the Move collection, and some Soft Suede cardstock, which went through the Big Shot with a woodgrain embossing folder. I added some Denim Ribbon, from Stampin' Up! and then coloured my image using my Stampin' Write Markers to match my papers. I popped Edward on a piece of White cardstock which I had sponged with Night of Navy ink and then with my newest favourite thing, Perfect Pearls, I popped some dots all around the edge.
I am entering this into two challenges, the first is the sketch from Anyone For Anya? which was freaking me out this week, as it looked more difficult than it actually was.... and Secondly, the DYSU Layers Challenge
Thanks for popping by!
