Kraftin' Kimmie - Vintage Christmas

Hi there!
I've been busy, preparing for Christmas, making lots of journals/diaries and sending them all over Australia, through my madeit store, so I've not had a lot of time, to just play! I have also been trying to get my own Christmas cards made up, which is what the card I have to share today is....
I started by gathering my papers, which are from My Minds Eye, I doodled around the edges, attached some gold ribbon, and then decided on which stamp to use. This is the ever sassy Kraftin' Kimmie - Tinkerbelle, which I've coloured up with my Spectrum Noir Markers. I grabbed some pearls (which I coloured to match, using my Spectrums) and a big blingy circle and some resin roses.

Bugaboo Digital Stamps - More, non-traditional Christmas Cards

Hi Again,
I have another card to share, from my craft day with my friend, Lyndall the other day!
Another Christmas card, for my own stash. If you still need Christmas cards, or stocking stuffers, check out my store, for a few bits and pieces. Last day for guaranteed delivery before the big red man arrives is this Wednesday (within Australia!)
On to the card!

This little chicky is the freebie from Bugaboo digital stamps this week, so, get her before Friday!
I coloured her up, using my Spectrum Noir Markers, and fussy cut her out. I grabbed some patterned paper, the blue trees, is from Lawn Fawn and the chevron one is from My Minds Eye (a Christmas paper pad from last year). I doodled around the borders, and stamped a Christmas sentiment (SU!) underneath where my little chicky was going to sit...

Bugaboo Stamps - Australian, Tropical Christmas Santa

Hiya!
Yesterday, I had a crafty play date with a friend. "Hi, Lydall!"
Part of that, for me was to make some Christmas cards, for my own personal stash to send out...
Here is the first of my cards -
I started by printing out a Bugaboo digital stamp (tropical santa) and colouring him up, using my Spectrum Noir markers. I then grabbed some patterned papers, in non-traditional Christmas colours (Echo Park, and My Minds Eye) and layered them up with some doodling around the edges. I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment, from Stampin' Up, then die cut it out, and added my Santa...

Bugaboo Digital Stamps - Non traditional Christmas

Hi Again! I've got a quick card to share, before I go crawl into bed... I have a craft day with some friends tomorrow, so will hopefully have a bit to share!
I started by printing the digi, from Bugaboo Stamps, and colouring her up, using my Spectrum Noir Markers. I doodled around the border, and then set her aside. I grabbed some Echo Park papers, in non-traditional colours and lined them up on Kraft cardstock. I added more doodling, a sentiment and a trio of rhinestones. I also added a ribbon tab behind the image...

Bugaboo Stamps - Christmas Card - Aussie Santa

Heya! I've been busy promoting a bunch of madeit stores over on my facebook page today, just in time for Christmas! The handmade community is wonderful, and we're sharing the love using the hashtag #madeitchristmas
Anyway, on to my card for today!
I started out grabbing this tropical santa (perfect for us in Australia!) I coloured him up, using my Spectrum Noir Markers, and die-cut him out... I grabbed some patterned papers from my stash, Authentique, Cosmo Cricket and some Echo Park. I die cut the red piece, and doodled all around the edges. The sentiment comes from Stampin' Up!

Kraftin' Kimmie - Christmas Card, without the Christmas image!

Hi ya! I've been busy at the craft desk, working my way through another custom card order, this one for the current boyfriend, who asked that I make some cards for him to give to his family and boss! Talk about a boost to the confidence! There are still a couple of Christmas cards available in store, so get in before the season is over!
This card, is going to Richard's younger sister... The design brief was simple *rolls eyes* quirky, and a bit OTT....
Richard picked out the stamp, I knew for 'quirky' it had to be a Kraftin' Kimmie image! I coloured her up, using my Spectrum Noir Markers, using 'Christmas colours' and then fussy cut her out. I built the card, using patterned paper from My Minds Eye (which I flicked some bronze colour shine onto), a gold foil doily, a wood veneer from Kaisercraft and a bunch of roses, a leaf, sentiment (Stampin' Up! Short and Sweet) and bling!

Baby's 1st Christmas Card - Bugaboo Digital Stamps

Hiya guys! I've been busy creating, with not enough time to be blogging. I had a big custom order for cards come in this last week, so I've been focusing on the cards for that... You can join my Facebook page, or check out my madeit store to see what's available!
Here is one of the cards I was working on, over the last week, or so -
I started out by printing the teddy bear, digital image, from Bugaboo stamps, and colouring it up, using my Spectrum Noir Markers. I set him aside, and grabbed some patterned papers, I used the dark green from a current Christmas pad (Echo Park), and the aqua chevron is from an older girls paper pad, also from Echo Park. I mounted them on to vanilla card stock, added some doodling, and some artichoke denim ribbon (SU!) I printed my sentiment, added some more doodling, attached a couple of buttons and some twine to finish off the card!

The Greeting Farm - Christmas Card

Hi guys! Sorry for the quietness on the blog (again!) I have had a super busy week, with my cards now being stocked in one of Newcastle's trendiest kids stores! My cards are being sold at Rosie's Closet, at the Junction! This is so exciting for the Jessidee brand, and something I never thought would happen! Of course, you can still get my cards online at my Madeit store.
I have a card to share with you today, for Christmas, because Christmas day is only 57 (!) days away! Are you prepared?! I have all the presents bought, I just need to wrap them, and make them pretty :)
I stamped up Holiday Anya, and coloured her using my Spectrum Noir Markers. I then grabbed some vintage-esque Christmas Papers, from My Minds Eye and layered them up, doodled around the borders and added my main image panel. I wanted to make the image panel a little less stark, so stamped it with a background stamp (from SU!) and sponged the edges. I also used Chocolate Brown ink for the main image, instead of the usual black, that I'd use. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up! and the little embellie is from Prima.

Some Odd Girl - Christmas Card

Hi guys! I have another card to share today, from my mammoth card making session with my mum and Angela the other day! I made a cute Christmas card....
This Some Odd Girl stamp is one that was given away, with an Australian card making magazine, I stamped it, and then coloured it up, with my Spectrum Noir Markers. I doodled around the border, then trimmed it down. I cut three circles from Echo Park's Christmas paper range, and the back ground paper is last years My Minds Eye Christmas range. I mounted everything on black card, and then on to a white card base... The sentiment came with the stamp set, and I free hand cut out the banner for it

The Greeting Farm - Christmas Card

Hi guys, just a super quick post, before I rush out the door!

This card uses patterned paper from Echo Park's Christmas Range, also the stamp is The Greeting Farm. I used my spectrum noir markers, and left it sentiment-less....

Tiddly Inks - Christmas Card

As you're probably aware, it's 80 something days until Christmas (horrible right?)
Well, I have Christmas cards, all one offs, in my store right now! Use the code EarlyXmas to get 10% off your order for the next week! (Until 10-10-13)

Here is a card I listed today -
I started off inking up, and colouring this adorable Tiddly Inks image (it's a stamp set that came free with a magazine). I used my Spectrum Noir markers, and then trimmed the image out. I then set to selecting my papers. The spotty paper is Echo Park, and the other is My Minds Eye (perfect traditional Christmas colours!) I then doodled around the edges, using my white gel pen, and added a doily, some white cardstock matting and of course my sentiment (Stampin' Up!)
I added two buttons and some twine to finish off this card -

Some Odd Girl - Christmas Card

Hi guys! I finished my assignments the other day! *wooh!* So, now, I just have a couple of exams, and I'm finished with uni for the year! Woohoo!
So, I sat down and crafted! I pulled out some old stuff, and some new stuff and came up with this -

I started out by grabbing a piece of Webster's Pages Project Life style card, and trimmed it down, to fit my card base (rounding the edges), then I stitched a border around the card, using my trusty sewing machine. I then dug through my Some Odd Girl stamps, and decided to use an all time favourite - Gifty Gwen, I stamped her, and coloured her up, using my Spectrum Noir Markers. I trimmed her out, leaving a thin white border, then mounted her on top of a crochet doily (something I have a massive hoard of), and attached her to the card front.  I stamped and embossed then sentiment (which is one I've never used before!) and then attached some sequins, before doodling all around the card edges...

Tiddly Inks- Christmas Card

Hi guys, I've been so bogged down with uni work, that I've not had a lot of time to craft, or blog... but, I do have a couple of things to share... Here is my first card-
I started out by stamping, and colouring up a Tiddly Inks image, and glittered her wings. I then selected some patterned papers (from My Minds Eye) and trimmed them down to size, I added doodling, and some lace with ribbon before attaching to my card base, which is made from Bazzil card. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up and I added a trio of sequins (with bling centres) to finish off the card.

Kraftin' Kimmie - Tinkerbelle Christmas Card

I've started my Christmas cards early this year (because, I'm ALWAYS in a rush come November)
Here is the one I made this week -
I started this card, by stamping my Kraftin' Kimmie Tinkerbelle in dark brown ink, and colouring her using my Spectrum Noir Markers. I used mostly EB1, EB2, TN1,TN2, FS2  and a little bit of TN3 in her hair. I then fussy cut her out, and set about picking out my papers etc.
I used patterned paper from a 6x6 paper pad from My Minds Eye, it is from their Christmas collection from last year. I then doodled around the edges using a gold paint marker. I added a distressed piece of vanilla card stock, which I'd inked around the edges and then added Tinkerbelle to. I added some glitter glue to her wings, and some more doodling. Before attaching all the layers together, I added some twine and a bling embellishment. I finished off the card by adding three gold sequins to the top left hand corner of the main image panel.

My Favourite Things - Christmas in July Card

Hi Guys! I know, Christmas in July!!!?! Whose silly idea was that, hehe. Over at The Stamp Spot blog this month, the challenge is all things Christmas!
Here is my first contribution -
I started by stamping up this chicky in a martini glass, which is from My Favourite Things, I coloured her using my Spectrum Noir markers, added some glitter stickles to her dress, and shoes, for a bit of a festive look, then set her aside, unsure how to continue!
The next day, a wave of inspiration hit, I went through my patterned papers. The goldy coloured paper on the background is American Crafts - Amy Tangerine as is the ledger paper the sentiment is stamped onto, and the green spotty paper is from Echo Park, which is the Dots & Stripes Collection. I then found some twill ribbon and tied a bow. I coloured up three rhinestones, using my Spectrum Noirs, to match the gold colour scheme, and finished off this card with some doodling, which I did with a new favourite journaling pen, the Project Life journaling pen

Some Odd Girl - Hol-Odd-Day Blog Hop

Hi guys! I may not be posting as frequently as I'd like to over the coming weeks, I've had my internet slowed down, so I might not be able to bear dealing with it most days, I will try and get online to upload when I can.... Onto my card -
Ok, so I started out using my brayer, and Stampin' Up Inks and brayering the sky, after stamping and embossing the white snow flakes. I masked off the ground and added a touch of sponging to where I wanted my little penguins to sit... I stamped, and masked my penguins (from Some Odd Girl) and coloured them up using my Spectrum Noir Markers. I then paper pieced the bow tie on the second little penguin using patterned paper from My Minds Eye (just a scrappy piece that's been on my desk forever!) I added some Crystal Effects to the top of the South Pole I then stamped the sentiment, and added a bunch of pennant shapes, in glitter, blue and the same red spotty paper as his bow tie... I added stickles to the snow flakes, and the ground, to give the impression of new snow. I embossed the white background paper and built my card...  here is a close up on my penguins...
I am entering this into the 3rd Annual Hol-Odd-day blog hop, and the Some Odd Girl December challenge, I've just realised, my card is quite similar to the owner of Some Odd Girl, Kristy's card -
I'm also entering this into the Simon Says Stamp anything goes challenge -
This card was dropped in the mail yesterday, for a good friend :)
